Ok, after average to cruddy food in Cortez we have found some foodie places in Durango. The fish and chips portion is huge and I like to eat but this was more than I could handle, giant pieces of cod beer battered and the tartar/dill sauce was great. The fillets were piping hot when they came out crunchy on the outside and flakey moist on the inside. Oh how I wish this place wasn't an hour drive from my place in Cortez, I would eat here twice a week, can't wait to try the Rueben here, it was on the special when we went but we opted for the fish that time.

I just rolled in from Arizona and stumbled down to this welcoming establishment to grab a bite to eat.  Luckily for me they serve a proper guinness pint, but unfortunately for my wife they were out of most of the menu items that interested her when we decided to come inside.  I had fish and chips which were quite tasty, both the panko breaded piece AND the battered piece.  She had a panini which wasn't excellent, although you can't blame an Irish pub for mediocre italian.  I'd eat here again but if she decides to join me I'm sure she will stick to the Irish side of the menu :)
