I am SO disappointed with this place. The decor and atmosphere are great, the drinks delicious (I am a fan of Magners Irish Cider, which they have on tap), the food good, and the service HORRIBLE.
The wait staff are rude and snotty, and do not laugh to loudly, or you will be told to be quiet. I am of Irish decent, and we are loud, jolly, and like to drink. I have been to pubs in Ireland and so speak from personal experience that the Irishman was not reminiscent of the Irish spirit. Don't be fooled by appearances.

Good place with a easy going atmosphere.

My bf and I got the Irishmen burger, and the fries are decent, but nothing great. For us, the burger was average and the bun was too big. My friend got the Roast Beef Dip, and the beef was pretty dry.

The beer is around $4.50 - 6 dollars and the average meal is around 10-20 bucks, which is a little spendy for the average food.

Overall, good atmosphere and average food.

No stars for breakfast (more below).  No stars for service ...40 minutes for a simple order in a mostly empty restaurant.  One star for the lively Irish music and decor.

I had the Irish breakfast.  My over medium eggs were solid, the Irish bacon was a modest slice of ham, link sausage was okay, tomato and mushrooms, fine, sourdough toast thin dry and uninspired.  Certainly not a $14 breakfast.

My wife had an Irish Scramble, in essence a dry disk of a fritata.  A slathering of salsa and or tabasco and or sour cream would have helped.  Jam for our dry toast would have been appreciated. Her potatoes were the best thing either of us got.

OK, went back for breakfast -- what a difference! The corned beef hash was amazing. The waitress was cheerful and chatted about the news with us. It was an awesome start to a lazy Saturday. This is probably one of the best kept secrets in Everett.

The service at this place was absolutely wretched! Now, granted I will admit I've only been there once and it was in a large group...

    Pros?
    -Food was good
    -Pleasant atmosphere

    Cons?
-A girl shouldn't have to walk up to the bar and ask for a drink, get told she can get one at her table that the server was at, and then demand that they give it to her on a different tab! It worked, but damn... shouldn't be that hard to spend money!!!
-Not enough staff on board to help out... which is probably one of the reasons the service wasn't very good, and I acknowledge that

I went in here with two friends on a Saturday afternoon, and we had an absolutely excellent experience, the food was super good, Quality ingredients, great presentation, it was just good. The service was as good as it gets (we were the only people in the place at the time) the waitress was 100% informative and explained everything on the menu for us. I had the Sheppard's pie, and so did one friend while the other got the roast beef dip, we also got fries with curry sauce (awesome). We left very satisfied!

Try the Reuben or the Irish stew. My husband and I porter one of each and share. We also love to go before a hockey game

Great spot in Downtown Everett!  Pretty laid back atmosphere with really friendly service and decent prices.  We got Irish pasties and the beef pot pie, both were really good.  Also, I highly recommend getting the whiskey sampler.

This will be a regular spot for us and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for dinner or a drink.

Friendly service, great food, good atmosphere. Can't ask for much more. I've already been back since my first visit and I'll definitely be going back again.

The live Irish music on Monday nights was great.

OK so I'm English, but my wife is an American and between us we can't find much of a decent bar here in Marysville so we went decided to try The Irishmen in Everett which is about a 10 minute drive away.  Went on a Sunday and made sure our trip co-incided with a Sounders game so we could watch the game on TV while we ate and had a couple of beers.

What can I say?  Food was excellent, seriously this place serves GOOD food!  I had the beef stew, my wife the Irish pasties and both meals were faultless.  They were hot, they were good quality and they were reasonably priced.  The menu as a whole had a good choice and next time we go I'll probably try the fish and chips.

The pub itself was spotlessly clean, atmospheric and as close to a "proper pub" as I've been in since I've been here.  They have a trivia quiz Tuesdays so we'll be back for that and I would have no qualms about recommending this place.

Went here last night with a friend for the first time.  Nice atmostphere, friendly staff, excellent Guinness.  My friend ordered bangers and mash and enjoyed it.  The portions were generous and well seasoned.  There was a trivia night going on there around the time we were leaving and the place was packed.  A fun atmosphere.  I will be back to check out the happy hour.

Went after a hockey game and it was packed. Good tap beer selection and the happy hour food was the bomb!  I ordered $5 fish and chips and the fish was fresh and the batter was crispy and amazing!  There's a full sized burger, potato skins and other full sized menu items for $5. They have 2 happy hours, the late night starts at 10pm. So worth it!

The shepherd's pie here is good enough to keep you coming back....good flavor with plentiful helpings.  The mashed potatos on top makes the dish.  Great lunch dish for one of those overcast WA days.  The irish stew is also good.  The pasties are good but are not as good as my wife makes.

One of the better pub n' grub places in Everett. Nice, chill place to relax and drink. Rarely overcrowded, and usually a decent mix of people, minimal troublemakers and tools. Drink prices are somewhat reasonable, and the food is alright. Service has the tendency to be kind of slow, but most of the time it's slow, it appears that they're just understaffed. Bartenders are typically pretty friendly, and they pour a solid Guinness or black n' tan. The nachos make for a great snack after a few drinks, and decent happy hour deals. They also do well at accommodating large groups.

What a difference a friendly bartender makes.  First time felt like "Cheers," very welcoming for us new kids in town.  Several stops since then, service, while prompt, felt more indifferent than friendly.   Didn't help when dual dishwashers vibrated the bar hard enough to make me wonder if Everett was the minor 'quake epicenter.

Foodwise, their Caesar's average yet a nice healthy Happy Hour option, and their Irish Stew is filling if inconsistent (a bit gristly the 2nd time I had it).

Maybe we're old fogeys, but anyone can suggest someplace open past 11:30 pm Friday night where we can hear each other without shouting?  No, we don't need hearing aids!  We're not barflies, but besides Dennys, it seems the sidewalks roll up at night 'round here.

My friends and I have had some wonderful drunken times here. We usually frequent this establishment after a Silvertips game (win or lose, must drink away our woes or celebrate a victory!) and it's always PACKED. We have been lucky enough to get a table each time though, which is pretty good because we always have a group of 5 or more.

Service can bit a bit slow but considering how busy it's been I let it slide a little. Their happy hour menu is great, and includes things like irish stew, loaded potato skins, and a cheese, veggie and hummus plate. There are a few drink specials on beer and wine, but if you want cocktails you'll be paying roughly $5-$10 depending on what you get and what sort of liquor quality you want. Even the lower quality liquor they have is still good.

The last time we went was for a friends birthday and he and another friend got so ridiculously drunk that the server had to cut them off. Kuddos to her for knowing when to stop. However, she was really rude about it, so minus one star for her.

To sum it up, great space for post-game drinking and pretty good food! It can get realllllllly loud in here though, so be prepared.

First off, this review is based on St. Patrick's Day, so it probably doesn't reflect a "typical" night there.

The pub itself is inviting and seems like a cozy enough place for a drink. The service was good considering how busy it was. The reason I only give it a three star rating was simply because the $10.00 cover charge I paid. I had high expectations for some good Irish music, and was more than a little disappointed.

The Snohomish County Firefighters Pipes and Drums were excellent, but why is it that people still associate Scottish music with St. Patrick's Day? It's a mystery to me... They entered with "Scotland the Brave"...

When they had finished, a couple of guys with guitars took the stage and started off promisingly enough with Flogging Mollys "Drunken Lullabies" followed by The Pogues "Dirty Old Town".

Good start I thought... immediately followed up by an acoustic version of Rihanna's "Rude Boy". WTF? Not exactly Irish, and not meant to be sung by straight men... Next came Neil Diamond, Sublime and Kenny Loggins...

It was then that I decided to head down to the Ould Triangle in Greenwood to salvage the rest of my St. Paddy's Day.

I noticed on the schedule that there was Irish Session music every Monday night at The Irishmen... why Monday night praytell? I'm tired of "Irish" bars that insist on classic rock or contemporary soccer mom music covers on Friday and Saturday nights...

The service was a bit slow but the french fries were delicious.

Great decor. The menus were even bound with wood covers and door hinges, I really admired them.

Would give 3/5 stars if I could.

A real Irish Pub in Everett.  That's the plan , and the owner Barry has done a good job of creating a place that would be right at home in Ulster or Dublin.

Excellent, authentic Irish pub atmosphere, and a great selection of both beer and Irish whiskey, although it's a full bar so you can get anything here. Great place to take a date, and the Everett Events Center is only a few blocks away . The old Everett Theatre is right next door. Depending on what's happening at these venues , The Irishmen can be packed on a given night (think Silvertips game), and finding a parking spot can be a pain. Other nights, no problem .

Not the least expensive place to get a beer in Everett ... pints run towards $6  , but they pull'em right . A proper Guinness or Black and Tan , and a special treat : Smithwick's (pronounced "Smitticks"), a great Irish beer, on tap.  I think the prices help keep the gangsters and the riff-raff out , after all, this is north Everett we are talkin' about.  If you want $5 pitchers , hootchie-mamas and hip-hop , this ain't it.

No pool tables, darts, or games of any sort , but a couple of well-placed  TVs allow you to keep track of the ballgame de jour . Cafe style outside seating in the summer . Inside, a warm, friendly atmosphere that allows for a boisterous laugh or lively conversation , and occasionally an unplugged Irish band will show up and lay down some traditional pub reels. Trivia night is Tuesday , and it's got quite a following .

The food is excellent, if purposefully unpretentious...after all , it's real Irish pub food !  Bangers and Mash, Irish Stew, Fish and Chips , Shepard's Pie.....and of course burgers and sandwiches for the less adventurous. All very good, all prepared and served in traditional Irish pub fashion. Entrees run $10-$20 , and the happy hour menu offers some discounts on snacks and sandwiches.

The owners are very hands on and typically tend the bar, which helps keep the service consistently good. The place is clean and drama-free.  Everett is a better place for it , and I strongly recommend you check this place out !

Great atmosphere for Friday after work and Tuesday trivia nights: They have a good house Cabernet, yummy fries, a great spinach salad and fresh soups (a tasty veggie black bean soup).

Let's be real: if I don't HAVE to go to Everett for a night out, I probably won't. However, my best friend lives north of Everett, and my boyfriend is from the area, so sometimes it just so happens I'm dragged to "downtown" Everett for a night - and thus, I stumbled upon The Irishmen.

It's a great little Irish pub, full of Guinness (which I don't drink), and lots of other beers (which I drink happily!). They also have a full bar and will provide tequila sunrises and vodka cranberries and the like. I've also indulged in fries, nachos, and other sorts of terrible-for-you but oh-so-good appetizers.

I've never seen the place super packed, but when it's busy it's never crazy rowdy or obnoxious, and always pretty clean. Definitely worth a trek to Everett if you're heading up north!

I go here more than I'd like to admit. I like this place because it has a good feel (wood everything), the people that work here are nice, they know what I drink and they dont ask questions. Its an Irish bar so they have Guiness and cider and all the goodness that goes along with an Irish bar. One thing I wish they had was an IPA, either on tap or in a bottle I dont care.
This place is always clean and has nice big clean bathrooms.
The food is pretty decent and the happy hour food is pretty good. I usually spend too much money when I go here, beer and drinks can be expensive, plus I really enjoy it so I spend a lot of time here.
This place usually has something going on. Mondays are movie night or they have live music and Tuesdays are trivia.

    Overall: I love this place!

Even my bad mood couldnt keep me from having a good time at The Irishmen. The Black and Tans went down smooth and easy..I ordered the Reuben. They make their Corn beef there. It was served on a marbeled rye tucked under a huge mountain of hot fries. My dining companions ordered the Beef Pasties and the Fish and Chips. Both looked and tasted great!  We finished up the evening by getting an  Irish Whiskey Flight and learning from the Owner exactly what we were drinking and how to appreciate it.
I never would of guessed that I like Jameson 12 year.
Our waitress Maureene was bubbly and so helpful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, full of dark wood tables and booths.

What a wonderful place to spend the evening. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and if you want great food that will comfort you on every level, this is the place. Our waitress Maureen was helpful and friendly. Now if you have a love for good Irish Whiskey your journey is over! The bartender/owner is very knowledgeable and loves to talk Whiskey!   This is my new favorite place. Can ya feel the love!!

Loved the way this place looked inside and out! We went to this bar on a Friday night around 9, found a big table for all of us to sit and ordered some drinks. The waitress was speedy and on the ball right from the get go. My husband paid the bill so I never got to see if their drinks were more or less expensive than other places but hey....booze ain't cheap these days.

I recommend this cute little bar for anyone looking for a relaxing good time!

When my husband and I relocated from Seattle's Capitol Hill to N. Everett, the biggest culture shock we experienced was the lack of good pubs.  There are some pretty funky blue collar dives, some overpriced and terrible restaurants that served their own microbrew, but no real pubs.

Until the Irishman opened, that is.  Then we rejoiced!  They know how to pull a real black and tan here!  They have Irish footie on the telly!  They are open until 2 a.m.!  They have live music!

The only thing that was a bit off was the Irish stew - it's nothing like what my grandmother made, but it was pretty good.  The rest of the menu rocked and the service was excellent.  Bathrooms are clean, the ambiance is exactly what an Irish pub should be and the owner is a kick in the pants.

The proximity of the Irishmen to the office means it's a regular after-work respite. The bar is actually well-lit, with ample table space, and a decent food menu in addition to the usual bar menu. Pass on the "authentic" Sheperd's Pie but feel comfortable ordering staples like potato skins.

The Irishmen hosts a trivia night every Tuesday that I didn't realize when we sat down around 6:30. By the time the trivia got started around 8 the bar was packed and sounded promising, prompting my co-workers to wonder if they shouldn't try their hand at trivia one night soon.

There are happy hour specials daily, and the waitstaff is friendly and attentive. If you're in downtown Everett and jonesing for a guinness you could do a lot worse than the Irishmen.

Oh yeah, this time was better.
Of course, we returned here on a snowstorm...
and had a chance to partake of the NEW MENU! (which is wood and hinges, very old world fun)
The additions we had were very tasty, and service was fantastic, as we were two of 10 peeps in the house.
For some odd reason the entrees had no prices, hope they fixed that.

    GUINNESS in EVERETT!  Yay!

    The food - yuck.

How about some organic greens in the salads, cheese on the nachos and some fresh guacamole!  I tried to salvage the meal by ordering their famous apple pie which was equally disappointing... frozen Marie Calendar's tastes better.

We stopped in for lunch on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

The place was delightful. The decor is dominated by the bar. It has a real pub feel to it.

The menu is standard fare with a few Irish dishes thrown in. Mostly sandwiches, burgers, salads and such. We started with onion rings and chicken wings. Very tasty. I had their beef stew and my GF had a cobb salad. Both were very good.

The food was a bit pricey, $12 for a bowl of stew.

    The service was excellent.

We both drooled over the dessert menu and while we didn't order any we will be back to try some.

With James, I rate it a 4 for now- as Everett wasn't ready for a 2am eatery/bar, but I we haven't made it up there since it first opened. I loved the setup and decor- feels like a real Irish bar. Hence, the owner being from N Ireland and all...I really hope it's doing well. Hope to hear more reviews of this place soon- and to visit again!

So I used to work with Barry, the owner of this pub.

Loree and I drove up to everett one night to go check it out shortly after he opened.

The decor is nice, the bathrooms really clean of course. Everett hasn't had the chance to "Christen" them.

I only gave the 4 star because I havent tried the food, I only drank magners but I hope that this place is doing well....

Its just really hard to drive up to everett have any drinks and then drive back to seattle....

When I get a chance to visit him again I wil give it a go..... and a better review Im sure....

I don't know what I was thinking when I went in here - I ordered a freakin' burger - what the hell is wrong with me???  I mean, it was fine, but tonight as I write this I'm kicking myself....why would I not order the traditional Irish stew made with guinness? the potato dumpling with sausage? the stuffed Irish chops, etc., etc., etc. ??????????

Anyhoo, this used to be a Mexican restaurant, but they have really changed it up - the decor is very Irish publike and the bathrooms were nice and clean with cute decor as well.

I definitely am going to give it another go, instead of lunch though you'll see me there at happy hour with my corned beef and cabbage....
