This is a metal and punk club--if that's your thing, then understand that it's well run. But if it's not, and you're just looking for a quick one before the Tips game or something, you might want to look elsewhere if it's crowded.
Tony V's does a great job at putting metal and punk bands on stage in an environment where people can dance and enjoy the show. You walk in right past the stage and there's a long, narrow space past that. Essentially, the whole room is the live room. There's a long bar along one side, where you can get beer and the rest of it. They don't do anything fancy here, they exist primarily to put bands on. The sound is good, and the vibe is welcoming for all sort of metal and punk fans. I'll definitely be back anytime somebody I want to check out is playing.
