After a disappointing attempt to have lunch at CPK, we decided to go across the street and eat here.  The kids decided that they wanted burgers so Islands it was.  We were greeted by a nice young lady who seated us right away.  Our waitress came within minutes to ask us if we wanted anything to drink and returned promptly then took our orders.  Of course the burgers were nice and delicious..I didn't realize that they offered veggie patties as a substitute for all the burgers so I was very happy with that.  We had our meal, full, happy and satisfied.  The service was great, the place was clean and we will be making another trip to Islands soon....

Thanks for making it a nice experience and showing my children what good service is supposed to look like.

There was a short wait on a Friday night so we went to the bar to get a drink. There were two kids sitting at the bar with their dad and one was playing with a cup, making a beating nose on the counter. It was pretty annoying. I've never in my life been at a bar and there have been kids sitting there. I maybe could understand at the booths around the bar, and that's even a stretch, but there were sitting on bar stools. We were so irritated after about 15 minutes we went and asked the lady how much longer it would be and she told us she was looking for us. She's the one who told us we could wait at the bar if we found a seat. Smh Needless to say we were a tad bit irritated. Then we were seated. We had the nicest, most down to earth, sweet waitress, Alica. She was perfect with her timing, never let our drinks get too low without bringing another one, and was just an all around sweetheart. She even chatted with us a bit. She's the only reason I'm not giving this location two stars. Kudos to the person who hired her, she's what any restaurant owner should look for in a waitress.
