Went here for a surprise birthday party for a friend of my and about 20 other people. Â This was apparently a very popular night for birthday events as all the tables were packed with birthday parties upstairs and down. Â It took forever (quite a lot of time) to get the pizza/flat bread type of dish that my wife and I ordered. Â The fries came quickly but we ordered those about a half hour after we ordered the first dish. Â The pizza/flat bread was rather bland but not altogether bad. Â I had a great IPA called G'Knight and my wife had some sort of rather earthy cabernet that was pretty good. Â The staff was very friendly when we finally got their attention and staked our claim on two seats at the bar. Â I was under-whelmed with regard to the food but fully realize that the tiny overstaffed kitchen was over-whelmed with the amount of orders. Â I would like to try this establishment again at some point at a less crowded time as I feel that it is worth another go-round. Â Ambiance was cool and hip, front door was hard to find, staff works hard and tries hard, get a more extensive wine list please.
Review Source:Went here for lunch during the week. it was pretty empty when we got there, but slowly more people started to come. Order food first, beer off to the side, and the food is brought to you.
Their food choices are pretty basic but with a lot of options (if that makes sense). Basic choices: salads, kebab plate, or a doner (wrap). Then you choose the type of meat and sides you want. I got a kebab plate, which was a lot of food. 3 kebabs and 2 sides fill up your square plate with deliciousness.
Their beer selection is really nice. would brew their own beer, but this place does! The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable.
Sitting outside on their patio is one of the best parts. Sitting right next to the beach with the sun shinning and a nice cold beer in your hand spells out SUMMERTIME!
I will definitely be back and bringing more friends too!
I came here with a couple of my friends for our monthly get together. I must have circled the parking lot at least three times because this place was easy to miss. Anyway, this is a small, lounge-type of place that is also quite hip! We were the only ones in this place because it was a slow evening. We were arrived at 5pm but everyone knows darn well that the beautiful hipsters come out after 9pm! The waitress was super sweet and down to Earth! She should have pulled up a chair to hang out with us ladies! Anyway, the food was great and I'll definitely come back to Sababa! They even gave me a complimentary dessert because my birthday was coming up. I haven't been here in almost a year but I plan on heading back over to Sababa in the near future. I might want to come later in the evening when this place is jumping!
