Ok - as my wife and I headed home - hungry, we drove in one place that didn't have many cars, drove past another with no cars and then hit Jack Devine's Pub and there seemed to be enough movement that I thought it would be ok.
Though it started off rough - no one to seat us. I found someone and asked if we could be served and she quickly apologized for not seeing us. Shame on us for seating ourselves. Then they had no Splenda - and I couldn't swap out a side for a side salad - I was getting a 2 star feeling at that point.
However, things turned around. We were in a bar type environment where white table clothes were not happening - so we got into that frame of mind. Then we were served our appetizer, which was the Emerald Basket and it was FAST - almost too fast. I thought maybe I got someone else's. And everything on it was good - even the fried pickle was good - way better then the one I had down south!
Our meals came soon after that and we were both satisfied with what we got. I had the bacon wrapped stuffed chicken and it was good - not the best, but certainly tasty enough for me to eat the entire thing. And the choice I made with the side - coleslaw was an excellent choice.
The server was very attentive and brought more drinks before we even asked - she was right on top of things the entire time and left us both feeling a bit better about our selection then we felt the first few minutes we were there. We were in and out in about the same time as a fast food joint - not bad at all. We'd go back, but only after hitting a few other local spots.
