I love this place, I really do. The owner, Uncle Ron is a wonderful man who is as welcoming and sweet as anyone I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
The ambiance is hillbilly sheik. Adorned with a jackalope head, harley davidson signs, and nascar regalia spread about.
The crowd is great. You'll never feel more welcome than at Jack Rabbits. It's like you're family there.
And the bartenders are top notch. You never have to ask for your next drink, it appears as if almost by magic, and the they always remember what you drink when you get there.
The music is a mix of country and classic rock mostly. I love that juke box. I can call up all my favorite tunes without the constant chatter of an annoying DJ.
They used to have this horrendous DJ, Monster Mobile DJ, but they had the good sense to kick that lack luster karaoki hack out of there. Who needs the love child of Tom Petty and Dolly Parton stinking up the joint joint with continuous renditions of Do wah diddy anyways?
But I digress, I would encourage one and all to come on down and have a drink with the finest peeps in town. They blow the roof off the joint every weekend!
Don't let the flame adorned Harleys parked outside intimidate you! After over a year of driving by this establishment and wishing I had the guts to go in-a friend's 30th birthday turned out to be the occasion where I'd finally get familiar with Slim's. Â First of all, I liked the music selection, it was everything from old school hip hop to classic rock-I'm already loving it! Â If you're like me and slightly intimidated by the whole biker scene, don't let the looks fool you! Â Once we walked inside the crowd was SO friendly! Nobody was itching to pick a fight (even at the "happening" clubs this can be an issue). Â The bathrooms were clean and the beer was ice cold! Â 50 cents for a round a pool. The best part was the friendly bartender who was holding the joint down by herself that night. Â Overall, I'm sorry I let myself be intimidated by looks and didn't give Slim's a chance sooner...this is going to definitely be my spot of choice on those late Fresno nights.
Review Source:I stopped by this place after work on a Monday after finding it on YELP near my house. Â Within first few seconds the bartender was there taking my order, brought me an ice cold beer....after chatting with bartender he tells me he is the owner, he inherited it from his dad. Â The people were also really friendly. Â I don't like the club scene but this lil family bar is FUN!
