  This place needs  to be closed down immediately!  It is a haven for thugs.  There have been too many instances of violence.  Shut it down now!!!!!!

  The people watching is hilarious, with types ranging from bounty hunter wannabes to roid rage muscleheads to has-been beach babes. Overall this place isn't the worst bar I've been to but it's one of the weirdest, here's why.
  
  As with almost everything in Morehead City, this place is scathingly White, the people stare at you with eyes ranging from curiosity to something more sinister. I walked by a group whose average age I would bet my right leg was no older than 19, and one of the kids said "Am I drunk or am I actually seeing Asian?"
  
  I refrained from fighting in fear that I'd be charged with assaulting a minor.
  
  Jeez, this place is a mess, but if you're White, I'm sure it's a hopping place. If not, don't even think about it.

  I really do not understand the appeal of this place. Sure they have live music, but so do many other places. And those establishments have AIR CONDITIONING. Be prepared to start sweating from just walking into the place. I just don't want to go out and sweat from standing for a good time. Yes, it's on the water, but no spectacular view here. Lot's of people in all age groups and drinks are poured well. Lot's of security.

  This place says you have to be a "member" to come in, and kicked a friend out of a costume party for wearing a hat backwards.  Absolute last place to go in Morehead to enjoy a drink.  Go to Arendell Room or even Sammy's across the street.  This place has bouncers on Roids who are more interested in starting fights than ensuring the security of their customers.  Avoid at all costs.

  I was in new Bern NC deliverying a yacht  and went to visit a friend in Morehead City,  We decided on Jacks because of the reviews on Yelp  they are spot on,  Great Drinks Great music and fun place .  If i am ever in Morehead again i will be at Jacks on Saturday night ...

  This place is fantastic !  My  live music venue of choice in morehead city . The owners  jeffry and keri are just great , he actually would not take my tip money when he was behind the bar. The staff are warm and polite the atmosphere second to none! !  I am a local and a regular who can't wait for friday and saturday nights to be drinking  and dancing to great bands with good friends . Just to see 4 or 6  limos parked out front bodes well for a good time .  Try it . . .you'll like it !

  Lots of locals, super cas(ual), cool but SMOKY waterfront back patio/dock, (often) live music, and last but not least SKUNKY liquor served in plastic cups, unless you get beer - OK maybe it's good liquor, but I always have the worst hangover of my life after a night at Jacks and I always lose something valuable, like rings, a camera, or a santa hat...
  
  Basically it's the go to spot in Morehead City.
