I used to be a fan of this place. I guess cause our crew doesn't go here as often as we used to, makes it just A-OK. Â I love the fact that there's no smoking inside. LOVE THE FACT!!!! Â you go home smelling the same as when you got there unless you danced your ass off on the dance floor. The decor is awesome and it's super sleek.
The cons...the drinks are WEAK!!! I ordered 3 cosmos...I should have been on my ass...I was still sober...I think it was just juice..no lie. The bathrooms are never in 100% condition. There's always at least one door that doesn't lock and lights out. But the concept of the bathrooms are cool. I like that there's a disco ball in there. There's usually not enough bar tenders to handle the amount of people in there. And the bar set up isn't condusive to getting drinks made fast. Also...the high traffic areas are crampt and small. you're always running into someone or trying to squeeze through people.
So...it has it's ups and it has it's downs. I suggest you roll in with your crew cause the patrons aren't very outgoing. I've never made friends there like I have at other clubs. But for Sanford, this place is very nice and the outside doesn't do the inside justice.

I convinced a few friends to join me in visiting Jason's Martini Bar for the first time a few weeks ago on a Friday night.
We showed up around 9PM, which admittedly might be a little early for a club, but had no problem with parking. We easily found a large booth to accommodate us and ordered martinis. The "ladies" martinis are only $5, but they were sickeningly sweet and not very good. I wish I had followed my husband and ordered a beer. At this point it was around 9:30 PM and there was one other group besides us.
After one round of mediocre drinks, we left to have some food and beer at Hollerbach's, which had a much more lively and entertaining environment. We ended back at Jason's Martini Bar around 10:45, and there were still only a handful of people, so we ended up calling it quits there.
While the prices are "ok" during happy hour, the regularly priced martinis were outrageous ($11 for a dirty martini that was very small), the "ladies" martinis weren't very well made, and the general atmosphere was disappointing. Perhaps it would work better downtown, but there was no dancing to be heard of, and I don't even recall seeing a DJ/VJ at any point.
We were hoping to be pleasantly surprised by a martini bar just off downtown Sanford, but unfortunately we won't be going back.
I know what you are thinking...downtown Sanford has a Martini Bar?!? Â That is exactly what I thought and immediately wrote it off. Â That was a mistake! Â This little Martini bar has hardly any advertising / marketing or signage and is literally on the corner of the street. Â
My friend convinced me to go one night and I have been back a handful of times. Â It is awesome if you are looking for the feeling of a night out downtown but not in the mood for the crowds or drama.
It is not that large inside, has seating areas, wrap around bar and small dance floor. Â It has great martinis and they play pretty decent music! Â The decor is awesome too, very lively.
