What a joke to call this a seafood restaurant. Â The baked clams were tiny and horrible. Â The Mahi Mahi tacos were dry and tasteless. Â The shrimp cocktail was not good. Â The Talapia was not good. Â The only thing that was decent was a burger. Â First time in Freeport and it will be my last. Â The strip is not desirable at all!!!! Â Crowded street and not even nice looking. Freeport will not see me again.
Review Source:What a disappointment!
Great seaside table, Professional, courteous service.
BUT - Below average food. And I never complain about price, but for the price the food should have been exceptional.
The Tuna Appetizer was seared but warm in the middle and fatty cut.
The chopped salad was fresh and very tasty.
The marinated skirt steak was just ok, cooked medium, and tender but a fatty cut.
The JC Paella was the biggest disappointment.
The lobster, chicken, Andouille Sausage, clams, mussels and shrimp were tough and overcooked.
The shrimp tasted fishy and was in no way fresh. No excuse for not fresh seafood in of all places Freeport.
The lobster broth was under spiced, just bland.
And how does a Paella dish have almost no rice in it?, it should not be called Paella!!
Dessert, The Chocolate Fudge cake was good.
I'd like to give 3 stars, but just can't do it.
Like I said, nice atmosphere, but disappointing food, I can't see myself returning.
I ended up here one late, random night. Â My friend and I enjoyed strong drinks as we danced the night away to the excellent cover band. Â I kind of felt like I was in a college bar listening to those anthem-type songs, except the crowd was a mix of Long Island Real Housewives and younger folk. Â I wouldn't come out of my way, but I would come here if in the area for drinks and dancing.
