Joe's American Bar & Grill

Joe's is fantastic.  I've been here a few times and I was pleased each and every time I came.  It's attached to the Garden State Plaza Mall which is very convenient.  If you're in the mood for a delicious burger and fries after shopping, Joe's is your place.  The wait staff was very prompt and polite as well.

The first time I came to Joe's was with my girlfriend.  We started with drinks then had the nacho platter for an appetizer.  It was DELICIOUS! I'm a big chicken guy so I ordered extra chicken on top of the nachos and it topped it off perfectly.  For our entrees,  we both ordered the build your own burger.  I got cheddar, caramelized onions, and sautéed mushrooms.  My girlfriend got swiss, blue cheese, and bacon.  They both were fantastic.  

Overall, my experience at Joe's was very positive.  It has a nice, friendly atmosphere with great food.  I would highly recommend it.

Been going here for years.  I recommend getting the new england clam chowder in the bread bowl.  Sometimes I feel I could just eat that as my meal and be content.  The burgers, steaks and appetizers are good.  Calamari is great.

This place has a modern / rustic / elegant thing going on, and some great bread fresh out of the oven. That's about all I liked about this place.

Having been here a few times I can say that the service is lacking and the food is inconsistent and carelessly prepared. We watched the tables in either side of us get served bread and ours get skipped over until we specifically asked. The waiter couldn't be bothered to check in on us.

Food inconsistencies? Well, we watched a table by us get the chicken fajitas and smelling them and seeing them steaming fresh on a hot pan enticed us to go for it. It came out to us borderline cold. If you can touch the cast iron pan and not burn yourself, it's not hot enough.

Overall, you come here because it is in the mall and the wait is shorter than other nearby restaurants. Do yourself a favor and wait the extra 20 minutes elsewhere.
