Asahi Sushi

very good sushi and the boxes are great for lunch!

I have been coming to this place for a few years now. It's completely out of the way from where I live - but totally worth it.

There are so many sushi places in Bergen County but this one stands out to me for the following reasons:

1. I like the ambiance. It's never crowded and when it's just me and my husband, they will let us sit in the huge traditional booths where you take your shoes off, which I love. These seats can fit 6-8 people but they never tell us no just because it's two of us.

2. The tuna is always extremely fresh and their rolls are plentiful. They never skimp on fish content and I am obsessed with the asahi roll. It is one roll that serves as an entire meal. It's huge. It has shrimp tempura, tuna, tobiko, cucumber, avocado....makes me salivate just thinking about it. I also love the avocado & crab salad.

3. It's a family run business and they are so sweet. Great customer service - you never have to wait more than a few minutes for your food and they always act appreciative that you chose their restaurant to eat at.

Besides all that, the place is clean and I've never had anything bad off the menu.
