Friendly service. The portions for kimchi-jigae and tofu soup are huge. The kimchi-jigae had lots of pork and kimchi and came in a big stone pot. The tofu soup had a lot of tofu in it (like 4/5 of the soup was tofu), which is generous but also made it a bit bland. The seafood one has a good amount of seafood in it besides shrimp. The rice had a healthy blend of black wild rice. The sides were fresh and delicious. They do have a tv, which the staff was watching a Korean science documentary on. They have complimentary coffee at the entrance also. The parking lot is behind the restaurant.
Review Source:I went there with my boss during lunch to try their specials. Â This place is Korean Korean Korean. Â If you are interested in very simple Korean dishes with different battered and fried vegetables (modeum jeon) and fried or grilled fish, and bean paste soup, then go for it. Â It was pretty awesome. Â I thought it tasted fresh, authentic and true to Korean heritage.
I did not try their BBQ so cannot speak of the quality but if it is good as their lunch menu then I'm sure it will be good. Â It's kind of far from where I am so not sure if I will return but would recommend for those who are seeking authentic Korean experience in Closter.
