I had higher expectations, but it was OK. I was excited to try their "famous" chicken fried steak, It was nothing to write home about. It was your ordinary frozen steak, with sausage country gravy.
My husband had the Biscuits and gravy, he said it was also Ok. The biscuits were really dry. The best thing was the pepper bacon.
If you've been to Shari's or Denny's you already know what to expect for the most part as far as food and atmosphere go. We went last week for a steak and some soup. They give you some bread to munch on for a lot of the dinner items, so that's nice.
If you're not traveling with any kids I'd recommend hanging out in the bar lounge. It's like night and day from the rest of the restaurant- wood floors, a fireplace, candles on the tables, and less opportunity for screaming children (no promises on the adults).
The food is good, the prices are decent, the wait staff is really friendly, and its the sort of place you'd be happy to have breakfast with your parents at. It was a lot of fun.
