What a nice addition to wine country. Along with a great hotel and restaurant, Press wine bar gives locals and visitors a place to unwind while sipping some of Oregon's best Pinots.
As People dine at Farm to Fork restaurant others are busy buying cheese, baguettes, house made charcuterie and wine from the retail counter just inside the doors at this hip wine country location. Some planning on sneaking a pick nick into one of the many local vineyards. Others just planning on heading home to relax and are leaving the cooking to someone else.
This is all well and good you may say but what happens when you want to be seen, go out, meet new people, relax, and leave the cooking to someone else in Yamhill county?
Head to Press.
Belly up to the wine bar, or choose to sit in an overstuffed bench, even bring a bunch of friends and take over the huge farm table that adorns this new addition to wine country.
The wine list is heavy on Oregon Pinots and it always seems like there is something new from the valley that you have never heard of. The waitstaff are knowledgeable and seem to enjoy surprising people with a great glass of wine. I do have to say however the best thing about the wine bar is the food. They serve the whole menu that they offer in the restaurant right there in the bar.
Chef Paul Bauchand's passion and love for great food and wine really comes through when you sit down for dinner and let him cook for you. Out of Paul's kitchen comes simple well crafted dishes, the likes of which you would find in a small bistro in a tiny village in France. A feeling of comfort is somehow portrayed through his cuisine. Charcuterie seems to be a lost art anymore, but in this kitchen it is a cornerstone and something I think Paul will become well remembered for in the long run.
I am excited about another great location in Oregon's Wine Country. and I thank all the visionaries who are leading the way.
