  One of my favorite place to go for a relaxing evening.  There's always live music playing and if I don't like the band (and the weather's nice), I can always go sit outside.
  
  The service has always been great.  I read the other reviews and I've never experienced any of the the problems any of the other reviewers had, and I've been going here for well over 5 years.
  
  Tip: They have some board games inside, so if your so inclined you can always play a game of chess while you sip your beer!
  
  They also have at least one of the locally brewed beers on tap at all times.

  The Klatsch has been my hangout for 24 years, yet I still hear stories about the good old days.  Its complicated.  It incestuous.  Its family dude.  This place deserves credit for keeping the downtown night life on life support for at least two decades.  The owner is responsible for fighting city hall and getting sidewalk seating approved.  A place of tolerance.  If you're a regular, no where else is the same.  If you're new, give it a try and be patient.  There is history here and it takes a while to figure it all out.

  BEWARE!! The Kaffeeklatch Bar will rip you off by changing your tip amount on your credit card. We tipped the bartender 50% and she changed our bill to triple the original cost. Only discovered after checking our  bank statement.  I used to think this was a cool little place. Not so much now. USE CASH ONLY, NOT CREDIT CARD!

  The bartender is typically the drunkest person in the bar. Prepare for him to overcharge you and then yell at you in a drunken slur when you let him know. I am not the first and I certainly won't be the last. Could actually be a decent bar if they didn't screw with their customers.

  Great cozy feel to the klatch.  If you're lucky enough to grab a seat in the corner you'll never want to leave.  In the warm months the tables outside are king.  Good music, especially Dave Anderson on Thursdays.  It kills me not to give the place 5 stars, but the service is just really lacking.  I'll never understand why bartenders and owners in HSV can't have better people-skills.

  I really dug this bar. The setting is simple, and the vibe is great. Loved the staff. The patrons run the gamet of style and genre. Very relaxing place to hangout for a drink.

  I concur, the Kaffeeklatch is awesome!  I'm a local and I enjoy the establishment on occasion.  It's easy to find a place to park on the street.
  I like their homemade flavored liquor that they make.  I had a pineapple flavored one once that was heavenly.  It inspired me to flavor my own liquor at home.
  I don't know if they still offer a limited food menu or not.  The last time I went they offered a personal pizza in two flavors.  It was tasty.  I just prefer to have food when I drink, so I don't get too buzzed, and my blood sugar doesn't get all whooky.  
  I haven't been to the coffee shop, though the coffee the bar serves is tasty.
  I've heard they have really good loose tea blends as well...like Earl Grey.  You can buy it there as well.
  The only bummer is the bathrooms are on the opposite side, the coffee side, and they are down a twisty flight of steep stairs. Not the obstacle course you want when you are drinking.  Luckily I have not witnessed anyone falling down them.  They are also away from the actual bar, so the bathrooms are kind of creepy.  I mean, someone could snatch you into a stall and rape you and noone would hear you scream, because the bathrooms are in the basement.  I'm just saying.
