Wings were good, and the beer was cold. Â I had a small order of Hot Honey BBQ wings. Â They were very good, and I never thought that I would say this....but "There may have been too much sauce." Â
The waitresses are cute, but not as hot as everyone else has mentioned.  Some were working very hard, but unfortunately....I didn't get one of them.  Despite fairly poor service from the prettiest of the waitresses, the experience was good.  Definitely stop in and enjoy.  It's worth it.
Undoubtedly the most popular sports bar in Morgantown. Â The atmosphere really can't be beat no matter which section of place you end up in. Â The amount of TV's are unrivaled, and WVU athletic events are quite the experience here.
Despite all this, the place is hit or miss depending on your waitress. Â Keglers has always been know for their attractive waitresses, but some are certainly better than others. Â Some of these waitresses seem to think that providing good service is not a vital part of their job description. Â On the other hand, some of the waitresses I have had have been phenomenal. Â They were attentive and friendly. Â The service (or sometimes lack thereof) always defines my experience here.
Food is nothing exceptional. Â The wings used to be the best anywhere, but I have found myself with an order of dry and tasteless wings more often now than in the past.
Based on an "I don't think you'd be disappointed" for a Friday Happy Hour by the boys at the front desk of the hotel, and backed up by Yelpers, this was a good find, located on the backside of the WVU campus, opposite part of town from the downtown (and nicer area) - part of a bowling alley complex. Â The bar upstairs is smoke free, with probably the cutest waitresses you'll find anywhere. Â Awesome bodies, skimpy outfits, and GUESS WHAT: Â super friendly and fast and efficient service. Not just our waitress, but all of those I observed. Â I had possibly the best, most unique beef au jus sandwich: Â seasoned beef brisket on a super fresh roll. Â Seriously good, and cheap. Big cold beers. Â Great big flat screens with unconstructed views from all angles. Â I can see why this is a locals favorite.
Review Source:Keglers is your typical sports bar, but it has the benefit of being outside of downtown. This means you get a good blend of students and townies. The Hotter sauce is fantastic, as is most everything else on the menu. My only knock on this place is that service can be kind of bad when busy (I'm patient, and the waitresses try, but sometimes they're just understaffed.)
Review Source:This review is for The Keglers Clubhouse. We arrived on a Wednesday & sat down outside with a party of 9. The server was friendly & took our drink order right away. The drinks took about 5min to get to the table. We ordered 30 wings for $19.95. You can only split sauces on the 30 order, so we tried honey BBQ & keglers gold sauce. I enjoy HOT wings, so I ordered a 8 piece hotter wings. We also ordered the drunken waffle fries $ a blackened salmon salad.
The honey BBQ were your typical honey BBQ, I enjoyed the hotter wings. Great heat & flavor. I didn't care for the gold sauce. It was a bit buttery & not much of a sauce, more like a glaze. I did like the size of the wings & the fact that they were not breaded! I want to come back & try more!!!
Three words: Â Working Women Wednesdays! Â You buy a drink (limited options) for no more than $1.50 and you get 8 wings free. Â How can I say no? Â I think specials are from 4-7 PM. Â There are specials every day except Saturdays according to their website. Â I make sure if I have to eat out on a Wednesday night- I eat here because it is so dirt cheap. Â
I recommend the Hot Honey BBQ or Kegler's Gold for the wings. Â The waffle fries are crunchy and a small size will suffice.
We came to Kegler's at the end of a very long day. Â We were in town for the Football game and were looking for a place to have one last round of drinks and share some laughs. Â We didn't eat here although the wings have a reputation of being beyond great. Â We sat downstairs in the very loud bar area. Â The set up has HD TV's around the perimeter with just abut any game on that you can think of. Â I felt it was rock concert loud down there but hey I am not getting any younger. Â Beers were pretty cheap, sorry I can't recall how much but they were big and cold. Â I would recommend this to anyone in town and on my next trip would like to eat here as well. Â I am busting a star because I am old and don't like when I can't hear the person next to me over the TV.
Review Source:Prototypical sports bar.
Located adjunct to a bowling alley, Kegler's is perfect for big game atmosphere and waitresses in referee uniforms that make Halloween costumes blush. Â The wings are good and come in a variety of flavors. Â The drinks are typical in price and any mix drink will be good.
Plus: Kegler's has three main components which sets it apart from most bars in Morgantown. Â First is the main bar that overlooks the bowling alley lanes. Very good for having fun with friends and you are surrounded by t.v's. Â The second is an inside/outside patio that is great in the summer and is right off the street. Â The third is a downstairs room that has two big screens at the end of one side and a nice bar at the other side. Â That part is my favorite of the three.
Parking can be a little hectic as it shares with the bowling alley, a restaurant, a office supply store, and various other little shops.
Kegler's is as GOOD as it gets in Morgantown! I truely miss my college days at Kegler's on Working Women's Wednesday! I looked forward to it every week with my girls! It was like a right of passage for every girl that joined us in Morgantown to experience!
Nothing is better than:
Great Drinks, Top Notch Wings & Amazing Friends
KEGLER'S I MISS YOU!!!!!!
Made a stop here to watch a few March Madness games while visiting friends in Morgantown. Â Kegler's is a actually a series of 3 areas: a traditional bar area, an open cafe area, and a bowling alley. Â There is a huge parking lot and room I'd guess for several hundred people between the 3 areas.
We spent most of our time in "Kegler's II" which is located in the basement. Â There are tons of TV's...you literally can't turn your head without being able to see 3 games. Â Seating was not an issue either with plenty of tables including several large group tables for 10+ people. Â The wait staff is courteous and very attentive to whatever you need.
A sports bar is usually measured on the quality of their wings. Â Put simply, Kegler's wings are awesome (they've won a series of local awards.) Â They serve about a dozen sauces ranging from your typical Buffalo style, to several Honey BBQ flavors, and a Lemon Pepper. Â I went for the Special Seasoning: a mix of buffalo, garlic butter, and some seasonings. Â Although on the small side, the taste was great. Â The seasonings and cooking method used flavored the meat all the way to the bone, something I like in my wings.
The only beer on tap are typical domestics...kind of a downer. Â But they did have a broad selection of bottled beers as well as a full bar. Â Additionally, the pricing is more than reasonable.
Kegler's is what a sports bar should be: big, lot's of TVs, and great food and drink. Â I can see why the locals rate this place so highly.
I came here two nights in a row. The wings are THAT good. This is a good sports bar. Good beer, good service. Not really sure what the prices for drinks in Morgantown run, but a few pitchers of beer and wings for only $20. Pretty sweet deal. Lots of tvs with different sports on. There's even a bowling alley down stairs. On game day, be prepared to wait in line for a table. The line can reach out the door. But this is a great place to "tailgate" with other mountaineer fans.
