If I could live in the place I swear I would.
The best ribs like ever!! Being from Indiana I've had lots of barbecue from restaurants to someone grilling at a party. I have got to say hands down Kenny's is the man.You can also buy a bottle of their sauce for later that you can pretty much pour on anything to make it sing. You can get everything from a combo plate or even a bucket of rib tips, yes I said bucket(loves it) They have everything from ribs, chicken, shrimp, to hot links & every single thing in this place is fanfuckntastic!!!!
ok maybe im a little spoiled from having BBQ in Texas and Memphis...but please i can make BBQ in my backyard better than this place.....
the smell of the smoke brings you in.....but the food is a different story....ribs are baby backs, i would rather have spare ribs, more meaty but i guess thats a personal prefference...but these ribs seem to really skimp on the meat to bone ratio :-) Â ..... and not very tender at all....true BBQ need to be smoked for hours and hours and nothing here fits that bill...
hot links? Â how about some real sausage... the meat in these is ground so fine they are more just like hot dogs with some cayenne added for heat....
rib tips? ok maybe somebody likes these things, but a piece of bone with gristle and a few little srands of meat doesnt do it for me....yah i know every rib tip is the same so its just not here but i dont get the rib tip thing at all so its not the fault of this place...
southern fried chicken?? Â define that please....this is not crispy at all..and rather greasy and bland.....the BBQ chicken has no smoke flavor ....but it was fairly moist inside.....
fried fish dinners are avaliable here too but i havent tried any so no comment on those...a BBQ beef sandwich is basically sliced beef with sauce on it and not smoked....
cant anyone really smoke a brisket or make me a true pulled pork sandwich??
fries are ok and the slaw was actually pretty good.....
my quest for a true BBQ place continues til my next trip to Texas or Memphis.....
