The champagne of submarine sandwich shops.
I've always been a fan of Jersey Mike's --I love that they slice the meat and cheese when you order, so you know it hasn't been sitting out in the open air and it's fresh. Their sandwiches come in 3 different sizes --and the huge one is literally enough to feed two people, or one very hungry competitive eater.
What makes this place greater than the other JM's I've been to is the awesome staff --so very friendly and quick to make you a sandwich masterpiece. Great place to stop in and grab lunch!
F.Y.I...I always get my sandwich done Mike's way: lettuce, tomato, onion, vinegar, oil, seasoning. SO good.
Can you say Ermagerd!
I thought that Subway what I was stuck with for sub sandwiches... NOT anymore. Jersey Mikes opened up on December 5th 2012 and I am damn glad.
Here's the skinny:

Here's the fat:
The staff is pretty cool here, talkative, easy to get along with and generally pretty awesome. There's a lot of choices for subs and the employees know 'em all.
All the cold cut's are sliced right there, they've even got a meat slicers right on the front counter. The slicer is clean too, props especially because of the amount of meat that they must go through.
If you're lookin' for something that really pops and gets your mouth watering, get The Big Kahuna Philly Cheese Steak. It's loaded! Extra Cheesy and is seriously on point when it comes to how everything is put together. Not one ingredient overpowers the other, they all just meld together perfectly.
When the owners took over the new building they added a door in the back of the store to the secondary parking lot. This helps a lot because there is hardly any parking out front and can be kind of a pain.
This place is really worth a look see if you haven't heard of Jersey Mikes. I was told it's a chain with 30 something stores in Illinois.
