Mama D's Pizza

Love their pizza! If you get a chance dine in and try their stuffed bread sticks, they are phenomenal. Come to think of it I am thinking about ordering now.

Mama D's is slightly off the beaten track. It's tucked away on Joliet Street just off Hwy 41 in St. John. They don't seem to get many people eating in, at least it has been almost empty whenever I have stopped by to pick-up. We have been ordering from Mama D's for many years and have never been disappointed in the pizza, bread sticks and cheese sticks. Their thick crust pizza is really outstanding, as is their deep dish. The sauce tastes way better than Papa John's and Little Caesar's, it is worth paying extra to get Mama D's if it doesn't break your budget.

One thing I would suggest to Mama D's - they should heat up the little containers of tomato sauce that come with the bread sticks and cheese sticks a bit more. It typically arrives cold, so either you pop it in the microwave yourself or you just deal with it and eat it code 'cause you're starving! :)  

All in all, it's excellent pizza, the best I have had in NWI so far.

I am surprised there aren't more reviews for this place, they have been around for a long time.
