Great food, great service. Â We went here with group of four and everyone loved their meal. Â We started with the peppers stuffed with sausage and bruschetta. Â The peppers were served with a red sauce and were just spicy enough, absolutely delicious. Â The bruschetta was served as four pieces and was delicious as well. Â The garlic bread was topped with fresh tomatoes and was easy to pick up and eat. Â The bread was soft in the middle with a crunch crust. Â The linguine ala Livio had plenty of large shrimp and scallops and the garlic wine sauce was delicious. Â The salad was also very good and served with the best croutons I ever tasted. Â This is certainly a hidden treasure.
Review Source:Great old school Italian - Banana peppers stuffed with Italian sausage are a great way to start the meal, or the Calamari, which is good because it isn't all breading. Â
Linguine Ala Livio is pasta with scallops and shrimp in a garlic and white wine sauce that we order all the time. Â Nice variety on the menu.
The interior is a little quirky - seashore, but the staff is friendly, reasonably priced and consistently good.
Coming here feels for me a slice of Chicago's best Italian tastes of garlic and maranara sauce in the heart of St. John IN. Â The pasta is served with quality and keen service. Â There isn't a place like this for miles in this town, and I enjoy sitting inside a lively Italian restaurtant such as this one.
