*$ 10 minimum on card* If you're more into a more traditional ambiance versus a hipster/ hip-hop theme such as star hookah or the social lounge, then Kief is for you.
My friends and I wanted to try a different lounge in the valley versus our usual go-tos and found this one on yelp and decided to check it out.  What I do like about this place is that I get to keep my hearing versus star hookah and it's very affordable, but I'm giving this one 4/5 because sometimes the hookah quality does get a little scratchier and I do honestly go to hookah lounges to bask in the ambiance of the lounge and also to unwind with decent hookah.  I like the plaza this place is located in (boba, ramen, thai food, tattoo parlor, doesn't get much cooler than that) but the ambiance is still not quite as stimulating as other bars I have been to.  I still really like this place though.  This and social lounge are my main go-tos.

I've been coming to Kief for more than a year now and it never fails to disappoint when it comes to hookah. The service there is fantastic, the environment is great and their employees never stop thinking about the customer. They have a Happy Hour between the hours of 12pm-7pm Mon-Fri for hookah which will only cost you about $9.

The charcoal they use is great, compared to other local lounges whose charcoal blacks out in less than a minute. They also have a very wide variety of flavors to pick and choose from. Food is great as well.

If you're in the north side of the valley, and in dire need of hookah, look no further than Kief Hookah Lounge.

    Pros:

    Cheap at $8 before 7PM.
    Friendly service.

    Cons:

Not a variety of things to do there such as board games or card games.
    Music is kinda loud.
    Drinks are expensive.

I'm giving this a 4/5 because the super low price outweighs quite a few cons.

I'm definitely a fan. I've gone a few times now, and I've never been disappointed. In fact, each visit to Kief exceeds the previous all the time.

You can't beat the price during the day. I think it's $8 before 6 PM, which is an awesome price. It gets more expensive (almost double) in the evenings, but try to go on Thursdays. They have free house mix refills, which are pretty good.

Service has been amazing every time I've gone. The younger staff are chill, and as long as you're nice to them and respectful, they'll return the favor. There's an older gentleman, that's super nice. He always gives great service.

It gets packed at nights, especially on special nights (like sports games), so I've seen them run out of seats. I tend to get there earlier, when it's usually pretty empty.

Their tobacco is perfectly fine (Al Fakher and Starbuzz), and they're really good at keeping an eye on your coals. Kief is definitely my go-to hookah place in the Valley.

The only con that some might consider is that they have a hookah per 2 persons minimum. Not a big deal, IMO, unless you go with people that don't smoke, but then... why are you going to Kief with them in the first place?

P.S. They allow boba from Bounce next door. Another reason I love Kief. Boba + Hookah = always a good time.

    Okay, so,
-The service is hit and miss, but when I usually go which is during their happy hour which is a few hours actually around 3 to 6 or something it's quite good.
-The seating on either side is a long bench but other than that, all the seats are chairs.  If you like to slouch and spread out when you smoke, try to find of the seat on the edge because the alternative isn't as comfortable.
-The food is of exceedingly poor quality, they have prepackaged sandwiches and the one i had made me want to spew hours later which is weird for me to experience since food quality has never really effected me.  DO NOT EAT THE FOOD HERE.  You'd be much better off eating beforehand in one of the adjacent restaurants, which are actually very good.  Once again, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, EAT BEFORE COMING HERE.
-On the up side, the hookah selection is very good.  They have a lot of flavors and a couple brands to offer.
-The hookah is exceptionally well prepared for the most part, and when it's bad, it really isn't bad at all.
-The biggest draw is the price, it's immensely cheap.  I'm not even sure how they can afford to keep it going but this place is way beyond cheap.
In conclusion, come because the hookah is cheap, stay because it's good.  Also, don't get food here.

Very chill place for hookah.  You can come here and watch a game or do your homework (if you're a student).

Kief is and has always been my go-to Hookah Lounge. It's reaaally cheap- I mean come on, $10 for a hookah and $5 for a refill? That's so much better compared to some other Hookah Lounges around the area (Hookah Source...). Also the service is great, Mike is the maan. Ahaha, he's a really chill guy along with the other staff there. I definitely recommend.

I've only been to Kief Hookah Lounge once but I feel very comfortable there already, however it does help to know someone that works there and know people that frequent there.....It is just a very relaxed atmosphere though, it's great.

The hookah is good too, strong and doesn't burn out fast. They use very good coals.

I have yet to have the full experience of Kief, however I am looking forward to my next visit.

Great service. Everyone's really friendly and attentive. The hookah is great too, one of the best I've had. It's a really comfy place, kind of a study spot during the day since it's near CSUN. The only downside (for me) is that it's all indoor seating so it gets stuffy with all the smoke but they open the windows. Try it out if you're looking for a new place in the area!

Okay, this is probably the cheapest hookah lounge I've been to in the valley. it's $10 for a hookah, and $5 for a refill. I normally come here during the day, between 5-7pm. I came here with my boyfriend and another friend around 12midnight. I don't know what it is, but the service during the evening and the service late at night, are completely different. Evening service is really good.

Late night service, not so much.
The whole time we were there, there were about 4 different servers. Only one guy was actually doing anything. He only came to our table twice. Once to take our order, and one more time to bring the hookah. He would go around the room changing everyone's coals, except for us. It could  be due to the fact that we weren't their "friends" or whatever. But we thought it was incredibly rude. We left about an hour after we arrived. The tobacco also burned out pretty quickly.

Also, they charge 15% gratuity no matter how many customers per check. I noticed this the second time I was there. I didn't say anything, and did not leave a tip. Our server seemed kind of upset that we didn't. So, if you ever do come to Kief, don't tip. They charge it anyways.

Probably the best lounge I've ever been to, in a very long time.. This place has fantastic hookah, great service, and a great environment. If you're looking for place to kickback and relax with friends, I highly recommend this place. They have a very wide variety of flavors.

Like everything about this place except they don't serve alcohol and it can get a little dense with the cigarette smoke when it's crowded bc it's indoors.
