Kim's Cafe

Not kid friendly!!!!  My family and I visited this restaurant with my two year old twin boys.  We were the only people in the restauranta  . The staff seemed friendly at first, but when my boys (who are very well behaved) were finished eating they got out of their high chairs and were standing by our table behind the adult chairs.  The owner sent out her waitress to tell us that the boys needed to sit down as it was a liability for the restaurant.  Basically, we were asked to leave.  No, my kids weren't sitting in their high chairs, but they are two, there was no one else in the place, and they weren't climbing on or destroying anything.  I was very offended and considering the food was overpriced and not very good, I will never visit this establishment again.

The folks at Kim's have it going on!  We walked into this place blind without knowing anything about it and were pleasantly surprised by the experience!

For starters Kim's is located at the end of the Coupeville Pier - amazing location to sit outside and people watch and/or take in the beautiful scenery!  

Our waiter was extremely helpful in directing and guiding us on what to eat.  We all tried something a little different.  We had one member of our party who was allergic to shell fish so they really looked out for her and made sure she was taken care of.  
The chef is from Vietnam and her dishes are AMAZING!  All the seafood is fresh - but make sure when you place your order they have enough if you want to try the local muscles from Penn Cove Bay - because they do run out, but if you get the chance to try them - DO IT!

My husband had the Vietnamese sub-sandwich and shared the Chowder which was outstanding!  I tried one of the Vietnamese Seafood Stews with the Penn Cove Bay muscles which was spicy but not too spicy.

Service couldn't have been any friendlier or accommodating, our waiter really looked after us and made our afternoon even better.

Not only is the food great Asian fusion, you can get local seafood , local wine and local beer with friendly staff and a great waterside view but the best for me .....dog friendly outside seating .
