We love The Kress.  So fun to get a beer or martini, a sandwich and then relax while watching a movie that is not you run-of-the-mill flick.  Always fun.

The restrooms are now up two flights of stairs but they do have an elevator.  I also understand that the kitchen sharing is a thing of the past. It's a welcome addition to downtown Greeley and movie projector upgrades will certainly help. Check out the Kress!

My wife and I really enjoyed this place when it first opened but unfortunately the movie selection and the menu have progressively gone downhill.

Beautiful decor & friendly people. Reminds me of a nice bar you'd find in a big city. Theater is wonderful and they occasionally have free movie nights!

I really wanted to like this place. We visited the Kress after a family graduation ceremony on a Friday evening. The whole family, plus friends of the graduates totaled our group to 15 or so people. The ambiance was great w/ a jazz band playing near the bar, the decor was entertaining w/ old movie posters & movie memorabilia. They also show films in a small theater. There is a full bar & comfy couch & chair seating. Totally my style & I was really excited when we walked in.

With our group of 15, we had one server. My boyfriend & his brother waited over 10 minutes for a beer & I am not even slightly exaggerating when I say it took more than 20 minutes for me to receive my sangria. This was slightly annoying, but forgivable. When we ordered appetizers, this wasn't the case. We ordered the Gouda Fellas pizza w/ smoked gouda, bell peppers, cilantro, jalapenos, cherry tomatoes, lime vinaigrette, & pizza sauce. Sounds good, right? Our food took around 45 minutes, which was alright, but when our pizza came, it had pepperoni, mushrooms, & parsley. The waitress dropped it off w/ out a word & left. When she finally returned after 10 minutes or so, we asked her why our pizza has ingredients that aren't even on the menu? She stated that she knew our pizza was wrong & that sometimes when the kitchen runs out of ingredients, they sometimes just throw whatever they have on a plate & send it out. She shrugged & when I inquired about getting something else on the menu as most of us don't care for mushrooms, she stated that the kitchen was closed & walked away. Being a server myself, I was apalled, but realizing that this was just how this place was ran, I gave up.

We paid full price for drinks that took forever, & food that we didn't even order. It was a disappointment & I would not return.

This review is based solely on the food.    We got take out yesterday (we're working the jazz festival).  The waitress was friendly, and the ambiance seems nice, but like I said, this review isn't based on that.

I ordered the asian salad with portabella.  They informed me they were out of portabella after I had paid, so offered to switch it, but since I don't eat meat, I was SOL.  I asked if I could have some chips instead.  My salad was wilted and small.  Not even worth 2 dollars, and it cost fucking 10.

My other co-worker had "It's a wrap" and it was dry and mostly lettuce.  He couldn't even finish it.  They forgot the salad dressing, as well as utensils.  He was probably the most pissed of all of us.

The other two co-workers got the pulled pork sandwich.  They were small and dry, and their side ceasar salads were small and not fresh.

The meal left all of us in a bad mood.  We ate here last year and it was good.  I don't know if it's under new management or what.....

My boss says zero stars, but that's not possible on yelp, hah.

Full bar and independent films in Greeley...what more can you ask for?  A nice atmosphere and they have that to.

I am absolutely in Love with this Cinema. I love the style they accomplished and the fact that you can truly enjoy yourself with cocktails and dinner with you movie! makes a date night wonderful! Every movie i have seen here has been phenomenal as well, they are well rounded and if you haven't been in, you must!  This is 1 of Greeley's hidden treasures!

I agree with the previous postings of "Oh my god! Are we still in Greeley?!" But, I don't think it quite achieves "OMG BEST PLACE EVER" status.

The Kress is great- the jazz is nice, the ambience is cool, and I love that they have Crabtree on tap.  Shame on me, they overcharged me and I didn't say anything.  I like that they show funkier movies, and despite the menu being considered cheesy by some according to our waitress, I actually thought the movie themed entrees were not overdone completely, though when looking through the drink menu (as a former bartender) I don't think they quite deserved their price tags in some instances.

If you have more sophisticated than Jager and Rio taste, definitely check it out, and enjoy the chance to pretend that you're in a real city for the night, and support a great local business!

My b.f. and I are cinephiles, so we couldn't resist hopping in the car and driving up to the Kress to check it out. It's really a cool place that is somehow, strangely, in Greeley. I love the classic/weird films on Saturday afternoons but I do wish that the restaurant/bar was a little better. The bartender was all of 18 years old and could not mix a drink without being told what to add and how to make it properly. We'll definitely be back, though, because the movies and the lovely old-fashioned building are the draws.

Definitely as good as it gets for theaters!

Came here for a new year's eve celebration. They offered a full bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres, live band, and a cool Cary Grant/Kathryn Hepburn classic.  Everyone was very friendly and helpful, not to mention the bartender pouring pint-sized stiff cocktails!

Why does such a backward place like Greeley (sorry to my friends and other residents!) have such a cool place when other urban areas are still lacking?!

A nice alternative to the bar scene and a much more upscale version of the typical theater.  If you happen to be north of Denver, check it out!!

The Kress is so stylish that I wandered, for a second, if we were still in Greeley.  (I kid, town!  You're awesome!)

A friend and I made the trip here for a night out in our old college town, and we weren't disappointed.  First-run art movies.  A cool, Art Deco-themed bar with a menu that made us laugh. A great staff!

We would have liked to hang out in the bar longer, but we had to run into the theatre.  We ordered appetizers, which were brought to our booth in the back, and spent the rest of the night watching Charlie Kaufman's latest brain-scrambler while enjoying some seriously sinful spinach dip.

This brew & view is worth your dime.  I recommend the chocolate martini.  Yum!
