La Hacienda

A plate of food was spilled in front of the entrance to the kitchen. Staff kept sliding on this obvious hazard yet no one bothered to clean it up. It also took 3 requests to get chips and salsa. The night we were there the place appeared understaffed. I had a cheese enchilada and salad served in a taco bowl. Both were excellent. Prices were reasonable. A bargain choice in a somewhat bland area of Carmel for food.

Just came back from eating at this place. I have always liked it but,tonight the food was extra salty. I always order the same thing and it was so salty I could not eat it. My wife agreed hers was the same. Told the waiter and he said he will tell the kitchen. He came back later and said the kitchen said they make it the same as always. I said no way,I have eaten this dish several times. He said dont blame me I dont work in the kitchen. In the end,nobody gave a shit they were serving bad food.As we checked out we told the guy way too salty tonight when he asked how the food was. No response. Never again.

I hate to say it but it was the worst food I had since moving here. The enchiladas sauce I swear tasted like tomato soup and the beef taco I could not eat more than one bite because  the meat tasted like corn beef hash.  Service was fast, place was clean.  Would not recommend or return because of the taste.
