As i do not live in town, my exposure to J. Razzo's is unfortunately limited to once a year.  The problem is that i can only order one or two entrees, and narrowing it down is always heart wrenching.  The lasagna is amazing, but the pollo pepperoni is inventive and tasty.  You can tell the chef actually perfected his recipes over time rather than throwing something on the menu because it's what you're supposed to find at an Italian restaurant. Even the house salad dressing is an old family recipe (from Salvatores) and not something you can buy at the store.  The only thing better than the food is the portions.  You definitely leave feeling like you got your money's worth.

In a town that prides itself on the latest chain abominations, it's great to eat at an Italian restaurant that doesn't have TV commercials trying to convince you it actually is Italian food.

What a wonderful "special" restaurant! We celebrated my husband's birthday here and were very pleased! The tortellini was the best I've had since leaving Italy - the veal chop was delicious, flavorful and plentiful. We had excellent service and was given a birthday treat to share (thank you!! - the tiramisu was as delicious as mine!!).

I ordered J Razzo's from Order-In delivery (thank you!) on Friday before the snow started to fall.  It was pretty good.  I love delivery so anything outside of pizza being delivered is a plus, so I commend JRazzo's for being in like flynn with Order In.

On that note, I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and my hubby devoured them quickly and thought the meatballs were "just as good as Macaroni Grill". I'm not sure that's a compliment but he thought they were nice size and spicy.

I thought my Pollo Gorgonzola was just OK. The sauce is always the thing I look most forward to and there was something not that appealing about it.  First, I don't think restaurants put enough sauce on most things, so I always order extra.  Even with the extra sauce it wasn't doing it for me.  I'm not saying it was horrible, but it wasn't that great.  However, I did think the chicken was VERY good. There was a small crust that wasn't lost and it was a nice touch.

I also got the Caesar salad, which was dressed even for take-out.  Not a good idea, in my opinion.  I like to dress my own salad especially when I get take out.  Order it on the side if you order through the delivery service.  It was also VERY small, and did not remotely fill up the container, so it looked like I got ripped off.

All that aside, I think I would order it again if I am craving pasta, which is rare these days.  I don't think I'll be driving over to visit in restaurant anytime soon but it was a good Order-In option on a cold Friday night when I didn't feel like cooking.
