Good enough to visit multiple times but nothing special, they have a decent bloody mary, and happy hour menu that is available for kids too.

I really enjoyed the food both times went here for brunch.  They have all the basics on the brunch menu along with some unique dishes.  The atmosphere is cool on the inside because it's kind of a dark/diner feel, but it's a little nicer.  There is a big bar in the middle of the restaurant that is completely open to the rest of the dining room.  It seemed like a great family place as well as a place to get some good drinks and food for happy hour.

Breakfast + fire pit...what's not to love?

Have been for drinks on 2 occasions- no complaints w/ bartending. They are relatively attentive and serve fine drinks. Good place to meet someone w/no pressure. Not a pick up place....fine for a date- dark inside, really nice patio area out back- pick that!!!

Have been 1x for food- aack! Grilled steak salad sounded great. Looked amazing, tasted insipid, greasy and unsatisfactory. Too much cheese, canned/jarred mushrooms, tough, bland steak.

when we reported to server (who also is bartender- should stay behind bar as that is much more suited to him!), he actually started backing away from the table and suggested they meat be  re-fired....it was already fit for the dogs (who ate it happily upon returning home). No suggestion to replace with chicken or even comp something...we were not fussy, but will NOT return to spend money there. Female hostess and service seemed very attentive and friendly, but food is NOT freshly made on sight from what we could tell. Lunch menu consisted solely of fried, breaded and sandwhich/burger type options. already mentioned the salad. ;(

Seeing this is a chain and part of the Crossroads Bar and Grill which (thankfully!) closed down...I'm not surprised. too bad.

Randomly ended up here when other plans fell through. Upon entering the hostess greeted us quickly and then everyone who walked by ask if we had been helped yet.(very friendly)
Got the habanero mac and cheese balls super good, liked that they had two different size options. For dinner we split the wings, got half of each flavor. I liked the garlic buffalo the best. Also got the honey jalapeño pulled pork, it wasn't really flavorful and kinda dry for my taste.
They have $4 margaritas!! And rotating beers.
If in the area will come back.

This joint is always jumping! If you're looking for a lively place to grab drinks, snacks or a meal, sneak a peek at the game, and engage in a little casual conversation Lake Forest Bar & Grill would definitely be a good option for you. The food is good and the portions are generous, but honestly it's the fun environment that's the draw for me. The first couple of times I went alone when I was new in town. I sat at the bar, and although the bartenders stay pretty busy, they're kind and friendly enough to keep an eye out for a single gal sitting alone. It's one of the few places in its class in this small surrounding area which might be one thing attributing to the busting business they do, but it's definitely worth your time to check it out at least once.

Very, very mediocre food.  I've tried lunches and happy hour and dinner.  Boring, boring, uninspired.

I've had breakfast, dinner and happy hour here. The food is pretty decent for the most part. Sometimes the burgers can be a bit dry or bland but their sandwiches are pretty good. I think the meal to get here is Happy Hour, they have a pretty good one with a lot of options.

They used to have these waffle fries with this amazing cheese sauce on the Happy Hour menu but they took it off for some weird reason, you can still get it on the regular menu though. They also have good drink specials during Happy Hour.

Service is nice and friendly and there is plenty of parking. Lake Forest Park Bar & Grill is part of the Neighborhood Grill series ( Eastlake Bar and Grill, Greenlake Bar and Grill, etc.) I do like the Greenlake Bar and Grill a bit better, since I think the food tastes better and I like the ambiance there a little more but this place is not bad.

A surprise "get your butt over here, i'm buying and it's HH" invite got me out here a few weeks ago.

For how close it is to my place and how often my friends are here, you'd think I'd have already made it here.

What a great time. The food was tasty, the portions ridiculous, the drinks well made and the service was great. (the bartender even gave me bonus shots. she messed up a drink and rather than toss it, she just gave it to me. Why do people like giving me alcohol so much!?)

i see this making my regular "dude, let's grab a drink" list for some time to come.

I like the lake forest bar and grill, but I believe the main reason is lack of a better restraint in the area. In one direction is lake city, another kenmore, and the last mount lake terrace. The food is average and prices are good on most menu items while some are over priced like the prawns and chips. The menu is the same as all 4 of the other neighborhood bar and grills and the menu seems to never change. Service is average and happy hour does not have the best of options. Good place to grab a beer or smaller plate. They do have a $5 steak night on Wednesdays it's a small steak, but its good piece of meat.

I've been here about 10 times or more, and only had one bad experience with a slow waiter who ignored us.  I don't think he's there anymore, because I get good service, and usually a good seat at one of their big booths.  The place has easy access, and pleny of parking because it's located in the Lake Forest Park Shopping Center.  The food is average, to good.  A varied menu, and sometimes they try to put their own spin on an item.  I like to keep it traditional.  The prices are reasonable .  I drive from the wedgwood area because restaurants are now in short supply with the closing of three restaurants in our area in the past year.  It's worth the drive to just eat in a restaurant without any hassles or problems.

We went to this place recently when family came into town to visit.  It was quite busy and we were happy to wait in the bar for the quoted 30 minutes.  My husband ordered drinks for us at the bar and when two more drinks were added to our order the bartender got attitude and asked us if we were serious.  Seriously?!  Isn't the idea that we buy more drinks from you?  We were seated a little sooner than expected which was good and we ordered and when our food came, a few orders were not what we ordered.  The server asked us if we had touched it yet and we said no so it was taken away and then the proper food brought.  I'm sure that went to the another table (after it had sat at our table for 20 minutes waiting to be swapped out).  The service was overall awful with the pissy bartender and devil-may-care wait staff.

Not always our first choice, but always our backup as well. Good food, good with kids, and a good Happy Hour (served in the whole restaurant too by the way, which I've really come to appreciate with a kid).

I finally decided to go this evening for the Wednesday $5.00 steak dinner which starts at 6PM.  I arrived at 6:15PM and the line was almost out the door, however the hostess was so helpful.  She stated it would be a 45 minute wait and it was so worth it.  The wait staff was  friendly even though they were so very busy.  The food came out quickly and was FANTASTIC!!!!!  I came home and immediately went to buy the groupon since I am positive I will be back and bring friends.

Like all of the neighborhood grills, the food is not spectacular but good, the service warm/friendly, and a varied menu that ensures you can find something to order.
I only have had one issue that is within their control- the drinks. If you stick to the basics? You're OK. Think rum and coke. But the three times I or my spousal unit have ordered anything that takes thought? Yuck. Last night I ordered a Cadillac Margarita. It tasted like a 16 YO had taken a half-melted lemon/lime slurpee and added Malibu rum stolen from her parent's liquor cabinet.
My other issue (beyond their control) is the screeching toddlers of the 40-something hipsters that infest the place. Has more to do with the location of the restaurants- close to nice neighborhoods.

Folks- I don't do keg-stands at your carefully selected daycare. Don't inflict your soon-to-be-in-therapy little monsters on us. Please.

Came here for a holiday brunch on a Monday with 8 people.  One of the gals ordered an egg dish and asked for the eggs to be poached.  The waiter came back about 15 minutes later and explained, "We don't boil water on weekdays because it takes too long.  How else would you like those eggs done--fried or scrambled?"  That is the first time I've ever heard of a restaurant limiting their water boiling to the weekends.  When he finally brought her order, it was obvious that it was someone else's order.  The mistake was corrected, but a good impression was not made.

I ordered the Reuben sandwich, one of my all-time favorites.  It was apparent that the sandwich had been fried in oil, as it was very greasy.  It appeared that the bread had been pre-toasted (a bit too much, as it had a charred taste) and then sloshed around in an oil-filled skillet.  I'd rate it a 4 out of 10, as the corned beef was pretty tasty.  The fries were served cold.  There was no dill pickle on the side.  I thought it was against the law to serve a Reuben without a pickle.  I also had to ask for a refill on my water twice.  I ended up with some pretty severe indigestion for the rest of the day, extending into the evening due to the greasy sandwich, I believe.

I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to go to this place, but it seems to be an O.K. neighborhood hangout--as long as you're not intending to have good food or service.

We ate here with some friends and had amazing friendly service and the food was tasty. I was happy with the veggie sides that I saw, it looked like actually steamed fresh broccoli instead of overmicrowaved frozen junk you see at a lot of places. I do wish there were some more healthy options but then again I'm pregnant and picky right now. The burger that I had was tasty. My husband's breaded pork tenderloin was awesome. We saw some fried mac and cheese that looked great

The staff was all genuinely friendly and chatty and all seemed happy. We might even have to go back tonight.

Gret deal on food, service is 50/50 at best. It can just take awhile to get an order in, get a check or be acknowledged, unlike most restaurants where they acknowledge you right away. I sat there for awhile at the bar while 2 servers, the bartender and the manager all walked by me numerous times...the manager finally came by and took my order. I ordered the house merlot and some chickentacos...the wine came ina small dirty glass...so wasn't feeling to good about that...the place only had about 12 patrons in the bar for late night happy hour...now having said all that, the tacos were decnt and the wine was fine...and the price was pretty good. There is definitely better food options and better service out there...so it maybe awhile before I get desperate enough to do lake forest happy hour again.

The food is slightly above average American fare.

The service is a complete joke. We waited over an hour, without explanation, to get our food. When we asked for a beer menu and got it.... our waiter never came back to get our drink order.

Overpriced, slow, forgettable. The pulled pork sandwich and sliders were decent (good fries), but the fish tacos and cheeseburger were bland.

I like to try out little neighborhood eateries and have found many gems...this is not one of them.

We arrived on a holiday and noticed that there were several of us waiting. The manager explained that this happens every year...may be a good idea to hire more staff.

We were seated and the waitress finally arrived and took our order. Then we waited and waited. Another waitress brought our food. We  noticed that our waitress was also manning the bar. (hire more staff)

The menu is not at all imaginative, but has old-timey faves, like the open face turkey sandwich I ordered. It arrived with nice portions of turkey breast but with gelatinous gravy and lumpy potatoes; not the good kind.

Later, I asked the waitress for more cranberry sauce and waited and waited. Finally asked another person for it.

The interior of the restaurant is retro-charming. This could be a gem too if it had better management.

This place is always a favorite. Just as good as the other "Bar and Grills" but seems to be less busy, so no wait. Went here for breakfast the other day. My breakfast was cold and it was remade, no questions asked and no sour waiter face or eye roll. Very pleasant!

I find myself here a lot with friends since it's one of the closest restaurants with a HH next to our school. Thank goodness happy hour happens 2x a day: 3-6pm, 9pm-close, and there aren't many places that are open late in the area. Their service is attentive, but the entrees are a bit pricey for food that comes out dry. I always get their Greenlake Margarita ($4 cocktails all day, baby) and it never fails to hit the spot!

On Wednesdays, they have $5 steak nights - just keep in mind that every meat I have ordered from them has come out on the tougher side. Of course, if you're a burly, hungry beast who doesn't give a damn, this place is just dandy!

Happy hour is good.  If you go during one of their promotional menus (I.E $5 steak night) the service is poor and it takes forever to get a table.  Would like to see the place with more staff on those night, we usually just skip them.
It's a good spot to meet friends, wouldn't go here for date night, food is very average.

We stumbled in around 11 pm. Which seems pretty late, but it was Friday night, and there were people still inside, the sign on the door wasn't really clear about what time they closed.

It was happy hour! I love a happy hour, and they were still serving food, and there were a few people still in the bar.

He got a burger and fries deal thing for 5 bucks, and I, of course, opted for the Mini Bratwurst which also came with fries. Because I can't seem to turn down a wiener, even if it is the mini-variety. I don't discriminate.

Boundary Bay IPA on tap, which is decent, and I notice I find that at a lot of places nowadays. This, however, was the only variety of IPA they had on tap. At 3.99 a pint during HH it was quite a steal. Our food came within about 7 minutes after ordering, and it was pretty dang tasty. My order was two mini-brats (one bratwurst cut in half?) with little buns (not partial to buns but I ate most of them), with grilled onions, stone ground mustard, and sweet peppers on the side. Tasty stuff! The fries were super crispy and super hot. The bite of the burger I had was pretty awesome for the price as well. Super nice charbroil-y flavor. Just the right amount of food for the price, an awesome value.

All of the choices on the HH menu were under 7 dollars, and they had a lot of nice things to choose from, salads, fried stuff, and even dessert. I love when you can go somewhere, and even though it may be around closing, they are still willing to serve you food and drink and even chat with you for a while. This place is awesome, and on the late night, I'll definitely keep it in mind to come back.

We are regulars (meaning once or twice a month as we have to drive from Richmond Beach to Lake Forest Park) and tonight was so bad as to warrant a yelp-blast ... and I don't mean a compliment.

The whole point of my complaint is being charged $1 for a tiny bit of parmesan cheese for my wife who asked for some parmesan cheese to put on top of her vegetarian lasagna entree.

The server explained that they didn't have the finely grated parmesan but they had some 'chunky' type of parmesan.  What arrived was shaved parmesan.  Very nice.  Tiny little cup with shaved parmesan.   I didn't bother to tell the waiter that it was 'shaved' parmesan rather than 'chunky' parmesan.

The bill comes and with a charge for that tiny thimble of parmesan at a cost a $1.   Now you're probably wondering ... WTF ... what's up with this guy ... it's only a buck?!!  Yes, I see your point.

My point is that, "What restaurant doesn't offer parmesan with a pasta entree?"  Hell, I'll bet Olive Garden even offers parmesan cheese.   (And if you are a manager at LF Bar and Grill reading that the Olive Garden is out performing you ... you should feel ashamed ... because that is worse than anything I could ever write on yelp.)

Okay ... to all of those reading this ... thank you for letting me vent.  I'm much better now.

Oh yeah ... one final point .... the lasagna was lukewarm.  And I have $150 left to use on my Neighborhood Grills card.   Maybe I'll focus on using it for beer .... as their bar has a good selection of local brews on tap.

For your entree ... try somewhere else.

This place has the advantage of being one of the few "bar and grill"-type places in the area so it made sense for us to come after Cinnebarre.

It was maybe my 3rd time or so here for happy hour.  We ordered beer, a margarita and the fried jalapeno mac and cheese balls.  I've also had the flourless chocolate cake and some other happy hour deals here.

They have a great menu and its a good price...the mac and cheese balls were only $3 and tasty!

Its nothing fancy but it's a good neighborhood joint esp. compared to the rest of the area.

Its rare I can say I love the bartenders just as much as I love the food.

My boyfriend and I have never had a bad experience here... great happy hour prices, some quirky dishes, and nice staff. I get the house salad every time we come here.. it can be a little heavy on the dressing, so order it on the side!

Any night that Michael or Chrissy are working, is a good night for us! I love that we can come in and say "make me something _____ " and Michael will make an amazing drink. Chrissy is our fav female bartender of all time- shes friendly and damn it all, shes honest. I left my notebook there one night, and she kept it for me until I showed up again about 2 weeks later!!

Bring back the buffalo fish sandwich!

Came to meet up with a friend. Apparently they have happy hour until 6 pm.   The great part is happy hour is through out the whole restaurant! Awesome for all ages.  Great deals on the happy hour. Ordered the chicken sandwich with a salad. The house dressing was great a nice honey balsamic. The chicken was dry a bit over cooked.  My friend got the tacos. He gave them 2 thumbs up!

Great place I would def come back.

This is a good place for this area.  That is a neutral comment, not really a compliment since there are not many places to dine in this general area anyway.

To be clear  I am really glad this place is here and overall for a neighborhood joint it is very solid so will continue to go here.

But if you do not live in the immediate area this is not a place you would go out of your way to visit.

Me and my boyfriend love this place!! It is just down the street from our house so we do a date night about 2 times a month to this place. the food has to be the best part. i am head over heels in love with every item i have gotten so far. they have an awesome happy hour. I feel like the service is great when we go there, we get a seat quick, we get our order in quick, and we get our check quick but they dont check on you very often in between those times, which is ok for us.

give it a try...i think you will like it!!

I only come here during happy hour because the food is not good enough to pay full price.  The prices for the regular menu are a bit high for what you are getting.
Don't get me wrong, the food is decent.  They are consistent.  I really enjoy the pasta Alfredo from the kids menu- it is sooooo good.  I am so happy my son loves it because I make him get the large plate and I share it with him.  I also like their garden salad with the house dressing.

Great location (for me!), bleh food, okay price with specials and deals - please don't drive very far for this one.

Parking/location: At LFP mall - lots of parking

Ambiance: It's a dark bar & grill - imagine nothing out of the ordinary and you've got it.  Several flat screens playing sports, comfy u-shaped bench seating - kinda dark - didn't notice much decor - hard to see - did I mention it was dark?

Service: Well, I don't have much to say here as I didn't see much of the waitress.  Didn't come to refill water (there weren't that many people there on a late Sunday night), didn't really come by to ask how the food was until we had finished and were waiting for someone to come by to get the check.

Food: Fish tacos are great - nice fresh taste - a little pricey though at $16 for 2 smallish tacos.  Fish and Chips - I'm not sure they have the right recipe for this one - breading soft, fish had a funny taste although my 6 year old gobbled it up (but he's really not that picky).  Bourbon and mustard glazed pork - the pork was cooked well - tender and juicy, the sauce was on the salty side - frizzled onions - delish! - had a nice cloud of them plopped right over everything, mashed potatoes- dense and chunky lacking creative flavors, grilled veggies average.

Price: For the quality of food, it's over priced.  They have some specials though - the 3 course $15 on Sun is a good deal - I noticed most people were getting this.

Recommendation: Like I said before - bleh food, but I'll probably be back just because it's so close and they have some economical specials.

All I'm sayin' is this....in a pinch, and if I don't feel like driving closer to the city, AND if I have an Entertainment book coupon, and I'm really hungry, OR if it's happy hour, I will eat here.  It's not horrible food, just don't expect it to be anything special or more than mediocre.

It's convenient being so close to my house, but I wouldn't drive across town for it. Happy hour is alright.....

Ummmm....I guess that's all I've got for this place..... wait.....just one more thing...Hey LFB&G, if you're reading this, and you care... try a little harder and you could really have a great place. Your tough steak, inconsistent semi-flavorless food and kinda crappy service gotchya 2 stars. But you DO have plenty of parking.

In conclusion, you'd probably be better off just going to Applebees if you're hungry and in a pinch.

First off, LFB&G is going to continue to lure me in because they are one of the few places between my boyfriends & my house.

Other than location, I can say that they have some of the friendliest staff I have dealt with in Seattle.  And their Happy Hour is a really great deal.

You can belly up to the bar, order a stiff drink from Chrissy or Mike, and get a good deal during Happy Hour.

But whatever you do, don't order the food.  It's pre-made from Sysco or one of the other major suppliers.  You can tell this in a number of ways.  One the food comes out way too fast.
Two it has no real flavor.
Three, it doesn't matter how you specifically order something, it comes out the way they want to bring it out to you.

They are constantly changing their menu.  But they are never IMPROVING it. Their HH menu used to be a decent deal, so you could look past the lack-luster food, but now you get 5 wings for $7 on their HH menu.  That's not even a good deal.

Overpriced, pre-packaged food.  Seattle and Lake Forest Bar & Grill can do better.

    Meh... it's A-OK...

It's hard to really hate the place, I mean the food is pretty good. It's not the best but it does the trick for a pretty decent price.

To be honest I've never eaten here during regular non promotion times, generally stick to the steak night special and the Saturday breakfast deals.

Maybe my review would be more skewed if I had eaten there during regular non promo times, but at least for what it offers it does the trick.

This is just for the fact that at 11 pm, they had not one thing to eat in the joint. Everything in the kitchen was closed. Tons of people in the bar.

I had driven all over the damn city after school to do homework and eat somewhere semi-close to home, but did not want to guzzle liquor (well...maybe at home...but i was STARVING).

This sucks! Have some food, you guys!

This place is decent. That is the best way I can describe it...decent enough. Good enough to get a satisfying meal, but not great. They have a pretty solid happy hour, solid breakfast offerings and okay dinner and lunch. The service is neer very good, but you can typically sit down to eat right away. My parents live nearby so I come here with them when we're staying local. It's pretty much the same drill as at Greenlake Bar & Grill, etc.

It reminds me too much of the Coco's that was here for years so I would have liked them to change it up a bit more inside/outside, but whatever. I'm at least glad it is here because before it opened up there was a lack of a basic go-to place in LFP. This is that local go-to. Things could be worse...

Happy Hour FTW!!!  I had a delicious salmon burger on whole grain bread, with sweet potato fries for something like $5.  It's a steal of a deal.  My fiance had a burger, which he really liked as well, and was also very cheap.  We also had a couple beers and a glass of wine.  Our bill came to $20!

The food here is typical for a "bar and grill" type place.  It's not anything fancy, but the service is good and friendly, and the food is pretty solid.  I've also had the Southwest Grilled Cheese sandwich, which wasn't greasy, and had a ton of cheese and black beans in the center-yum.

Wednesdays they have $5 steak and fries.  I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I definitely plan on it!
