4 star meal at a 2 star price.

The owner / chef is the only person working sometimes. So yes, service might be a bit slow but this place has so many positives it's hard to focus on negatives.

Fresh and yummy taste sensations. Any soup they have, order it!  They are always incredible. What this place lacks in decor in makes up for in taste and food prepared by a chef with a fantastic palate.

We live right down the road and almost didn't give it a chance. So glad we did.  Make sure you are not in a rush. This is not fast food. It is food hand prepared.

Lemongrass is an amazing addition the the neighborhood. It's affordable; it's healthful; it's locally owned. I'm partial to the chicken thai me up. It's a stir fry in wrap served with sauce. I'm a sauce nut, so I gravitate towards this dish. Though their other meals are delicious too. I haven't tried the breakfast yet, but plan to. It's very affordable and high quality. Thanks for moving into the area!

Noticed Lemongrass when the sign went up last fall.  After months of driving by thinking about giving it a try, today was the day I finally stopped in...

The Good-The food was pretty good.  I had the Lemongrass Bowl (A vegetarian dish) and my friend had the Seared Tuna Salad.  The Lemongrass bowl was really tasty for a non-meat dish (I'm not a vegetarian).  My friend said her tuna was grilled perfectly and had a lot of flavor, but the sweet chile dressing was a little on the bland side.  She also had the tomato basil bisque, which she said was really good.

The Bad-Coke and Mountain Dew are on the menu, but no diet soft drinks.  Unsweetened tea is offered as a substitute.  Other patrons tried to order diet soda while I was there, too.   Also, even though the Lemongrass bowl was very tasty, it was completely different than what the menu presented.  The menu stated that the bowl contained Shitake mushrooms, snow peas, heirloom tomatoes, scallions and carrots.  The bowl that arrived for me had broccoli, carrots, celery and zucchini in it... none of the other advertised vegetables.

The ugly-The service was painfully slow.  We arrived at 1140 and placed our orders around 1145.  My dish arrived at 1220 and my friends didn't arrive until 1235.  The waitress was apologetic.  We noticed there was only one person preparing dishes in the kitchen, too.  People that came in before and after us also had long waits and one lady ended up leaving without ever getting her food.  It appearded that dishes were being prepared one at a time.

I don't know if they were understaffed, not prepared for the lunch crowd today or what, but it will be hard to go back after our experience today.  I really wanted to love Lemongrass, it is close to work, not a chain and has a decent looking menu.  The staff/management of the restaurant has a lot of work ahead of them getting down the basics of service.    45-60 minutes is too long to wait for salads, sandwhiches and dishes that should be relatively quick to repair.  If Lemongrass wants to attract the business crowd in the vicinity for lunch, they must be able to turn them around at a quicker pace.

New place to check out! Menu includes wraps, stir frys, salads, and desserts, with veggie and vegan options flagged. They claim to buy locally when possible and - get this - make everything from scratch! Cute place. I'd like to see their business grow. Check it out!
