We have been to The Library a couple of times now. Our first time was fantastic. Juicy, flavorful burgers. Hot, fresh fries. Great service.
Our second time, wasn't so good. Our burgers were overcooked, and our fries tasted like they'd been sitting in the window for a while. My daughter ordered the Franks Hot Sauce pizza - a good idea, but it was so smothered with hot sauce that we couldn't even eat it. When we mentioned it to our server, we were told, "There can never be too much hot sauce."

I love this place! Their specialty beers are great. They had a pomegranite beer on tap 7 the last couple times I was there and it took everything I had not to buy a few growlers for home. Unfortunately, the growlers for taps 7 and 8 are expensive. Smaller batches, so it makes sense. This is a place where I have had practically the whole menu and have yet to find something I do not like. I do not, however, order appitizers anymore as I find them bland and a waste of money considering the meal portion sizes.

So good!! Thought this place would be a dive based on the outside but it was bright and cheery inside and carried the "library" theme throughout. Ordered the artichoke dip burger with sweet pot fries- SO good. Husband ordered the Louisville slugger with normal fries- also, SO good. Would totally come back and totally order the same things again. Highly recommended!

Clueless waitress...she had to make repeated trips back to our table to do what a normal waitress does automatically when attempting to be efficient.  The ham and bean soup was a rather mystery combination that I could not identify but it is not the first mystery soup at the Library.  It had beans...several types....something that might have been ham...and from there it was tomato and?????????

Usually this qualifies as greasy and tasteless and today was no different.  Skip the beer, go to 17th Street Cafe down the alley...whole different experience.

The food at the library is decent the beer (I would recommend the RyePA) is as well. When I was at the Library I had a burger I believe it was the Grilled Cheese Burger. Which for the uninitiated is a hamburger patty situated between two grilled cheese sandwiches it is fairly good. For me the biggest selling point for the Library is that it feels relaxed when I have been there.

Seems this place was in the midst of an identity crisis.

Hence the name, the decor includes shelves of old books and a logo of Sherlock Holmes. My aunt told me all the menu items used to be named after famous literature, which I think is way more original than the sports bar theme they are trying to move towards. It's like Revenge of the Jocks; the nerds finally had a cool place to hang out and the sportsnut athletes are trying to muscle their way in.

Our waitress was absolutely adorable. I think it was her first job ever because she looked young and was way too eager and chipper. She was great, but the food was extremely slow to come out. However, the portions are big and the majority of us ended up with leftovers.

It's typical bar food - most people ordered pizza or burgers and I got the alfredo pasta sans chicken. There were a few chunks of veggies in it - but the dish overall was way heavier than I'm used to eating.

Props for having root beer and making their own micro-brews, though!

Great atmosphere.  The food is fairly good.  I always like their chicken strips, but every now and then they taste like old-oil.  You can taste the fish grease in them sometimes.

The beer is good, the servers are friendly.  The prices are pretty cheap.  Its a cool place, and I recommend it.  Just don't order fishy chicken strips.

Oh, and they serve waffle fries, which I'm not a fan of generally.  Even so, they're good.  This is the local place to go to watch soccer games as well.

Driving thru, i had RyePA and Prime Club. At first was served open faced prime, but server quickly corrected the order, even tho we ate a good portion of the first sammy.

Friendly and casual collegey vibe. Not a lot of people in there at the time, but it was a late lunch. (1:30p)

And holy crud was it all very good! Worth a stop.

The BEST bar/grill in Laramie, Wyoming... and possibly the mid-west.

For the diner: I have eaten here A LOT, and I have NEVER been disappointed (the absolutes are not hyperboles). Things that make you go 'mmm': The artichoke dip burger, the sweet potato fries, the chicken enchilada (arguably the best sauce I've ever had), the mac 'n cheese bites.

For the drinker: Every microbrew is delicious. You can't go wrong with any of them. The only dilemma is which one to get (the correct answer is usually the Kolsch). Also, they have a slew of their own mixed drinks that are guaranteed to go down smooth and get you crunk in 2 or less drinks (the Gatorade is also usually the correct answer).

The internet jukebox has a lot of goodies on it, and (surprisingly) most people there have good taste. The barkeeps are all very friendly, and the atmosphere is comfortable.

The Library is one of the only reasons I was sad when I moved out of Laramie. There isn't another place like it.

You couldn't ask for a better place to grab a quick drink or have an all night binger. There have the BEST beer in Laramie and probably Wyoming. There food is also great with a wide selection.

I have spent many hours at the Library and recommend it to anyone in Laramie.

Visited this place in the middle of my road trip in August. I only knew about this place thanks to yelp. If I find myself back in Laramie, I will absolutely pay this place a return visit. Lots of beer, good music, good atmosphere, a pool table, foosball, and an awesome history. Its the closest bar to campus, but I was there on a Tuesday night so it wasn't too busy.

The drinks were cheap, and its attached to a Liquor store (open til 2am) if you want to continue the party after the bar is closed.  I didn't try the food so I can't comment on that.

The people are very friendly and will talk to you if you're from out of town or just visiting. They might even share some of your interests!

A pretty decent brewery for a overnight beer snob who comes from the Front Range in Colorado which is rumored to be a possible ' Napa Valley' for beer. Take that for what it is.
I tried two different beers here on two separate visits before I would start into on a review for the place. The beer that I liked best had the lovely ingredient of honey in the ale which was very well defined. The second beer that I had I believe had Devil's Tower in the title which was a wheat ale which was ok but did not win me over as much as the first one.
On my second visit here I actually ordered food and was impressed with what I had.
I had a fiery BLT with bacon that had jalapeno and maple flavors combined together with the meat. Definitely one of the better BLT's that I have had in a while!!
The Library has an octagon shaped feature in the middle of the restaurant which makes the experience and atmosphere very interesting because there are many sun windows up on top and plants hung along the way.
The downside to how the layout is is that on very busy nights The Library could become very loud because of the acoustics to the said layout. While some may not care about this, others may find it annoying. I got a small sampling of this early in the evening on a Saturday night.
A stop worth making in Laramie if you don't mind driving a little off from the Interstate and want something a bit different from the usual, junky fast food world.

The Library is several places in one: a great place to grab lunch and dinner, a bar, a brewery and a liquor store with a decent selection. The food is quite good (try the sweet potato fries), and the selection from the brewery is varied and tasty. If you haven't tried any of their beers, get the sampler, and if you come by during the summer, ask if they still have any peanut butter beer. It goes quickly because it's very good!
Finally, the bar is a friendly place to grab a beer. The decor and atmosphere fit Wyoming well. It's usually not too crowded, it's clean, and the music doesn't overpower attempts at conversation. This isn't a place for dancing, but there is plenty of seating and several TVs showing sports.

    Really neat place!

Visited for the first (I'm sure of many) time yesterday, and was really happy with the beer selection and prices.  I had the Stout and RyePA- Stout was pretty standard but good, and RyePA was great.

Place is small, and I would imagine during the school year, especially on weekends it gets pretty crowded.

Also, Fox Soccer Channel was on one of the TV's.  Always a plus for me.

This bar is by far one of my favorite places to grab food and beer in Laramie!  The brew master always whips up something surprising for the number 7 and 8 taps, and the food is awesome and reasonably priced!

I came here with friend who is from Laramie. We had a great time at the parade and beer fest for Jubilee Days and stopped in here on our last day before heading back to Denver. It was the World Cup final game so the place was packed with soccer fans. Definitely a fun and rowdy crowd. I ordered  the chili burger to help cure my hangover and it really hit the spot. Juicy and spicy.

This place is also a brewery so some beers were in order. I tried the oatmeal stout, which was delicious but I could only drink one after my monster burger. The Kolsh was a nice beer on the lighter style. Very similar to a pilsner.

    On the road pit stop:

Definitely the coolest library I've ever been to!

This is a bar/restaurant, so either way you're set... If you're coming for the food, be ready. It's reallllyyy good.

The beef dips were fantastic. Good bread, good au jous. Nice! The meat eaters pizza was BOMB! The cheese was nice - not too heavy or light. The sausage was packed with flavor. And the other meats combo'd it really nicely. The salads were also nice - filling and flavorful.

If you're looking for healthy, keep driving. But if you're looking for yummy, then stop by! One more plus: they brew their own beer. That says it all right there.

    Wyoming, what a nice surprise!

Cozy, the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, and the decor is very Wyoming-esq (if you know what I mean). It's a fun place with great service and a really good vibe. Good food on top of that? Right on!

Good times with a great crowd. They have Karaoke, billiards, and some video games.

You're bound to have a good time at this place.

Decent beer, kind of a quiet place for a bar, so a good place to chat with friends or perhaps make new ones. Directly across the street from University of Wyoming's rather tall dormitories, so not surprisingly a heavy college crowd.  Have been a few times, it is OK.  They have a couple pool tables, some TVs with sports on.  A chill hang out place. They sell cool t-shirts that they say "Don't lie to your MOM, tell her you're at the Library!"

It's a funny place. Because it's across from UW and not downtown, it always has a different vibe. I liken it to the bar you can go, if you actually want to have conversations with your friends, because even when it's crowded, it's never so loud you can't hear anything. The restaurant next door used to serve a solid shrimp pasta too, but not anymore. All in all, a place worth frequenting in Laramie.

Not the best brewpub/restaurant in Laramie, but that doesn't mean their brews stink. Although not especially memorable, I've enjoyed all the beers I've ever ordered from them. The food is great, as one would hope from an establishment sporting a real restaurant. It's kind of Irish themed with many of the dishes named after James Joyce novels and the like. Good, solid burgers, sandwiches, and onion rings. They're also accomidating, once indulging my request for an approximation of poutine (it was not bad!).
