I've been seeing the Limerick since they opened, usually on my way to the Royal Mile, down the street. Â They were a standout at the 2013 Taste of Wheaton, selling out of everything they brought well in advance of the event's closing time, and this in addition to a very pleasant chat with the woman manning the table made me anxious to give the place a try. Â My family and I did so the other day, which resulted in a mixed experience.
My first impression of the place, when we walked in, was that it was designed for small parties more than large groups. Â Lots of 2- and 4-place tables, but very few for larger parties, and the larger ones were all filled. Â We had to combine a couple of tables for our party of six. Â Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. Â If you are going with a party larger than about 7 or 8, you probably had better call ahead and let them know you're coming, or you might have problems.
We happened to go on a live music night. Â Very nice, but amped WAY too loud. Â These were all acoustic instruments, and it was very difficult to carry on a conversation over them. Â Next time, it's the outside tables for us.
The drink menu is impressive. Â My nephew commented that it listed whiskeys that you "normally have to beg for" because they are off-menu. Â The normal assortment of beers and mixed drinks. Â My tastes are pretty boring - Guinness and maybe an occasional Angry Orchard - but there's plenty more to interest more adventurous folks.
The food was in general pretty good. Â The Shepherd's pie earned high praise from those who had it; the other items ordered were pronounced "very good" as well. Â I ordered the "made in-house veggie burger" with goat cheese. Â It was merely OK. Â It was definitely made in-house, a definite plus, but it lacked much in the way of flavor, and it was too mushy and did not hold its form when bitten into. Â By halfway through, I had a small pile of black beans and brown rice on my plate. Â The onion rings accompanying it, however were excellent - thick-cut, crispy, with a light batter and served nice and hot. Â
Vegetarians will find several items on the menu for them - the aforementioned veggie burgers, a vegan sausage sandwich, and a "vegan bangers and chips," using the same sausages and served with potato fries (since their mashed potatoes are, understandably, not vegan). Â If you're not either, you can convert that to a vegetarian bangers and mash by asking. Â A couple of appetizers as well. Â I'm looking forward to trying the sausages the next time I go.
Overall, I'm giving Limerick three stars. Â It's good, but my first experience there just wasn't as good as I had been expecting given the hype. Â I do plan to go back, and see if the second time brings my opinion up.
The Limerick is the pub to choose in Wheaton. We've been a half dozen times since they've opened and have always had a good time. The live music is always great.
I've yet to have any thing to eat that disappointed. The fish, in the fish and chips, are large, substantial yet delicate pieces, with a crispy but not overly-greasy batter. Perfectly fried every time.
I'd give 5 stars except for the fact that on more than one occasion, the wait staff have dropped the ball, leaving our table ignored for long stretches at a time. It shouldn't take 15 minutes to get menus and water and then another 10 for the first round of drinks (especially when the room was only half full when we arrived).
The food, the prices, the beer - THE BEER - and the live music all outweigh a piddly issue with wait times (that's easy to fix).
I only wish they had more outdoor seating!
Loved this place! Â Only thing that kept them from getting a "5" was they ran out of onion rings and ice cream for the bread pudding the night we were there. Food is tasty and nicely presented and very reasonably priced. For 2 drinks apiece, a starter salad, 2 entrees, a shared cake dessert and Irish coffees for us both--$63!! I was on a first date, so I think I won points for picking a reasonable place! The live music was fun but not overpowering.
Review Source:We stopped in for a pint and some food without realizing there would be music. Whole normally this is something I like, that night we just wanted to chat with our friends. But I digress.
The Limerick bills itself as an authentic Irish pub, but it's just too clean, too new-looking, too bright. However, the server was funny and brought our drinks quickly. We ordered some buffalo wings and Irish potato croquettes. While the wings were only ok, the croquettes were really good! I'd definitely get then again if we go back.
Wheaton has a serious lack of nice watering holes, so the Limerick Pub definitely fills a gap.
I came here with 14 other people to celebrate St. Patrick's Day even though St. Patrick's Day was a week earlier.
If you like Irish places, you'll love The Limerick Pub. Â
It has great food, wonderful beer, a wide variety of spirits and friendly waitresses. Â We had one that was able to keep on top of our food and drink orders even though we were a fairly large group.
They also have live music which is quite good. And darts. It wouldn't be an Irish place without darts.
The only downside is that it's a small place so it fills up quickly. At least it did the Saturday we were there.
You also have to park on the street (meters) or in a lot across the street (meters) but the meters only have to be fed until 6:00pm so if you get in close to then, you're good.
Definitely a great, little place to come and enjoy some food and drink and the company of good friends.
EDIT....
Mike B. wanted to know about the food...so here it is. Â
I had the Shepherd's Pie - spicy and tasty and plenty! Your choice of a salad or vegetable. Oh. And the Limerick Chips as an appetizer while we were waiting for our friends to show up. Â Good stuff.
The Missus had Bangers and Mash. Also good stuff. Â The rest of the people had a wide variety of goodies but I didn't really keep track.
Yeah, they have "regular" food, too, like burgers but there is enough authentic Irish food to tide you over. Â I say go for it!
We go here all the time because it is awesome! Â It's a very chill atmosphere, there's often live music, and the food and drinks are great. Â It is pub food, so no caviar and filet minion here, but what they do have is delicious. Â We usually get the Limerick burger with goat cheese and caramelized onions which is to die for, and wash it down with a snake bite (Guinness + hard cider). Â If you want a chill, relatively inexpensive evening out with music and good old fashioned pub food with an Irish twist, come here. Â The service isn't super fast but we go there to hang out and relax usually so it doesn't bother us. Â If you want to eat here but are in a rush, order at the bar.
Review Source:"This would be a three star rating, the service pushes it to a 4, and I am going to give it a 5 because a vegan decided an Irish pub was the place to get food and I feel compelled to undo the damage. Â Here's a tip vegans: THE IRISH LOVE BEEF AND LAMB!!!!! I don't remember seeing a single "vegan option" on any menu out there, in fact. Â What were you thinking???"
Um, clearly you did not look too closely at the menu because they had a vegan roasted vegetable dip and vegan meatloaf. Which by the way, I thought were overall tasty options even if the meatloaf was a but lacking in texture. And thanks to the glorious power of the internet, as of this review there are vegan bangers and chips. Get over yourself.
Now that I have that out of the way, the atmosphere and the patrons are friendly. They have a lot of expected Irish menu items. I usually order the 'Twins of Ireland' for a sampler of Shepherd's Pie and Guinness beef stew. And yes, the vegan dips are good. Limerick is always adding new stuff to the menu, so it's a nice place to frequent. My friend swears by The Reuben. Maybe I will try that next!
In comparison to other Irish pubs, the Limerick stands among the best. In comparison to other restaurants... well, it's an Irish pub.
I'm not a big fan of Irish food, which tends toward the meat-heavy. However, the Limerick actually has menu items I look forward to. They have one of the best veggie burgers in Wheaton (how weird is that for an Irish pub?) and they also have a great spinach and goat cheese salad. Their fries can be wonderful, but the consistency isn't there. If they aren't crispy when you're there, send them back - they are happy to fix it.
On Tuesdays they have a great trivia game that packs the place most weeks. There's always a TV visible, no matter where you sit, and the place is small enough that if your game isn't playing, they'll put it on.
The wait staff is mostly great. Ask for Tanya or Kyle -- they'll make sure you're comfortable and have a good time.
I have friends who swear by the Limerick's Irish Rueben, which I've never had. They also have a fantastic burger (they call it the Limerick burger) which is worth it even if you hate everything else about the place.
Metro-friendly, and for a pub, also fairly kid friendly.
I can't believe I'm recommending an Irish pub, but you really ought to give this place a shot.
I've been coming here regularly since they opened. It has a good atmosphere, great staff, and great beer selection. The food is pretty damn good too ($5 burgers on mondays!). My only gripe would be price, and that's a small one. Hey, we've all got to make a living, right? Two dart boards that are free all the time, and walking distance from the metro. What's not to like?
Review Source:Tried the limerick for a lunch with friends because our usual the nearby Royal mile was closed. A good choice because the draft beer was good and the fish and chips better than the RM. Plus more Inviting because more light than the gloomy RM and quiet,a good place for conversation. Have been back several times for lunch since and
Initial impressions reconfirmed. One Of these days we'll try some of the other
menu items but can say the fish and chips are great and the chocolate cake is wonderful.
I have been to Ireland and studied Irish Lit. while there. This is the worst Irish Pub I have ever been too. They had no clue what June 16th was... "Bloomsday". The waitress was complaining how she didn't even like to work there. The atmosphere was cold and not even close to being an Irish Pub. Irish Pub's are to be warm and welcoming. This is the second time we have tried to go there and I just can't do it anymore. The only thing that's remotely Irish is a Jersey and a license plate.
Review Source:The first time we went to Limerick was on a whim because we were curious... Whats up with the new Irish place right across the street from the Scottish place?
What we found was a haven for my weary bones on even the most arduous days.
The place is one of the few with Kilkenny on tap (if you're not familiar, find out a way to be), darts are always available, live music is almost as regular as the good service, and the rosemary mayo that's served with the chip is to DIE for.
I don't live in Wheaton anymore but when I need to relax and share a pint, its the first on my list.
PS- The Brown Bread Ice Cream is also a must have. Don't miss it!
I haven't been back to the Limerick in months, but I realized while browsing that I have never written a review of this place...
My husband and I are big fans of Irish pubs and restaurants, but the Limerick is one of our favorite close-to-home spots for one reason: Â Billy. Â In fact, all the bartenders [who have served us] have been fantastic, very friendly and engaging and our drinks never go dry, but there is just that bit of disappointment when Billy isn't there. Â
The first time we ever went, maybe 6 months after they opened, Billy was our bartender. He was engaging, funny, and most importantly knew when my husband wanted another beer without having to ask. Â When he put down his glass to find it replaced within seconds, he turned to e and said, "I like him." Upon our first experience we decided that the food may not have been outstanding (it was GOOD, mind you, just nothing we'd be back for, whereas McGinty's has incredible food [now that they have Chef Nico], as does Brian Boru [Severna Park, too far from our home to go there regularly]), but the service had surpassed our expectations so much that that we knew we'd be back anyway.
Apparently some people [parents who brought their children in] found our favorite bartender offensive a while back, which just shows their lack of a sense of humor, and their lack of comprehension of the fact that THIS IS A BAR. I don't understand what this trend is with families taking their young children into bars (once while we were at the Quarry House, a family with noisy young children sat near us and the waiter ultimately moved them to a back corner because other patrons were being bothered - and that's a DIVEY bar! I can almost see why The Limerick might food someone with it's bright colors, but why oh why did someone bring their children to a hole in the ground like QH?). Seriously, Â parents, stop it. Get a babysitter, or go to McDonald's, and let the grownups have their booze and hilarious imported bartender without your children's snotty noses and delicate ears being involved. Â
We've been to Ireland, most of the bartenders we met had no hesitations about a cuss word or an adult joke, and no one is offended, because everything is meant with humor. In fact, when we returned from our trip to Dublin last fall, with Euros still in our wallets, The Limerick was the first place we went (where I bemoaned the fact that the Guinness just didn't taste as good).
This would be a three star rating, the service pushes it to a 4, and I am going to give it a 5 because a vegan decided an Irish pub was the place to get food and I feel compelled to undo the damage. Â Here's a tip vegans: THE IRISH LOVE BEEF AND LAMB!!!!! I don't remember seeing a single "vegan option" on any menu out there, in fact. Â What were you thinking???
A Limerick for the Pub
Guinness is the beer for Danny.
It cures work stress, it's handy.
So he drinks and he drinks
With a liver that shrivels and shrinks
But in the Limerick Pub it's quite dandy.
I've quite enjoyed my time at the Limerick Pub over the last couple of months. The food is standard pub fare and washes down really easy with a Harp or Guinness.
The service is friendly and engaging even during their busier hours. Thursday nights have lively singing of Irish folk songs and there was even a free shot of whiskey involved.
Be careful to the table ordering Guinness. A table with 4 Guinness' equals a jab from the bartender delivered via waiter, "Gobshites!" No harm meant, all in good fun.
Getting cirrhosis has never been better.
Banoffee pie heaven! If you don't know what Banoffee pie, shame on you. It's freaking deliciousness defined. To be a little more specific, it's bananas, caramel, whipped cream, and chocolate on a graham cracker crust. First had this amazing treat in Ireland about 10 years ago, tried making it myself unsuccessfully a few times since then, and even had it at some other restaurant, but the Limerick's is by the far the closest to what I remember falling in love with in Ireland. Definitely not a dessert I find everyday, so when I do and it's tasty, I scream my happiness to the world.
Review Source:We ate here once and have just never wanted to go back. I was lured in by the promise of vegan food on the menu. Since I can't have milk, that's always a plus. The place is very cute, but the vegan meatloaf was so disgusting, I only ate two bites. The waiter was so nice about it and took it off our bill. My husband had a so-so sandwich. We had trouble finding the place at first - it's in Wheaton on a little side street near the giant hole in the ground that used to be Safeway.
Review Source:--Adorable decor
--Has all the feel and ambiance of a neighborhood joint
--Actual Irish beers on tap
--Table service was fine
--Why do they even offer 8oz beers?
--Reasonable prices
--Walking/stumbling distance from Wheaton metro. So, hey, if you're ever lost on the Red line and craving a beer, this is your place.
I love this spot - and I appreciate the decor because I didn't feel like I was in a pub, but a nice spot with nice lighting, and clean.  Hey - that's just me.  Now that I've shown you I have no clout  with which to review a pub, let me further that opinion of me.  I also really liked with menu which offered several vegetarian options including a house made veggie burger I've yet to try.  I heard the regular burger is great.  I had the spinach artichoke dip.  Could have used more spinach and less cream cheese, imo.  That didn't stop me from effing it up. Â
Beers - I'm only concerned with calories when it comes to beers. Â Miller Lite, please. Â
Crowd is jovial, bartenders are cool and attentive. Â I will return.
We've been here a couple of times now, most recently for brunch. The food is really good; I've never been disappointed with it. There is a server though who seems completed befuddled every time we see him. He likes to hover around the table after he's taken the order or asks a question. Maybe it's just me....
The brunch menu is a nice addition. I appreciate the creamed chipped beef, even if it has an egg on top of it (it seems next to impossible to find a good plate of it down here). The home fries were also splendid; a nice crisp combination of butter and seasoning made me wanting alot more! Just note that they have a jazz band on Sundays. It can get kind of difficult to carry on a conversation with your dining companion, but it's a nice, enjoyable addition.
I enjoy the 2 minute walk from my apartment, that much can be said. For dinner, I ate fish and chips which were surprisingly good. A bit overpriced in my opinion at $15, but it was a good sized portion. Alternatively, my dinner guest had the Guinness beef stew, which had a good taste- but the meat was overcooked, and again - pricey for the amount you got. There was a side of asparagus, which was the best part of the meal.
The Irish music playing added to the atmosphere. I know this place gets pretty busy, but it was surprisingly lackluster for my first visit.
Their brunch menu looks decent so I would maybe go back for that...
I have lived in the Wheaton/Silver Spring area for over 5 years, and, as a vegetarian, I often travel to Rockville to find a restaurant with good vegetarian food (that is not Thai!). Â I was therefore very excited to find out that the Limerick Pub had some meat-free, non-salad offerings. Â We went on a Monday night, around 6ish. Â The bar had several people at it, and there were two other couples eating. Â
The menu posted online had different offerings than the one at the restaurant. Â 2 of the veg. offerings - a portabello burger and the grilled cheese, were missing. Â Instead, a "homemade veggie burger" was listed. Â I order that and my companion (also veg) ordered the vegan meatloaf. Â Service was extremely slow - they were probably shocked by our order - we waited 1/2 hour for our food. Â
I had to hold back the laughter when the food arrived and I saw the "burger" and the "meatloaf" were the same food, just sculpted into different forms. Â Both tasted okay, but could have used some additional herbs or spices. Â The baked potato with the meatloaf was good, as were the fries accompanying the burger. Â The meatload arrived sans bbq sauce (which it says on the menu is included) so we had to ask for that.
Overall it was fine, but I wouldn't go back. Â As a side note, the floor was really really greasy - perhaps waxed? Â Very slippery and unpleasant.
love going here...they have the best pizza and it's so consistent usually although last night not enuff bacon for me...I am so certain that if I would've asked for more tho the waitress would be more than happy 2 get it for me...I just truly like the whole bar theme where every1 knows every1 and u don't find that at the turtle or looney's..If I had a complaint it would be that the cheese fries need to b layered because only the top half are cheesy.
Review Source:I have to give them 5 starts simply for service alone. Â After 9 long months of having to avoid the high nitrate content of my beloved corned beef and 12 hours of labor, I NEEDED a Reuben. Â The trouble is, its hard to find one at 11pm on a week night. Â Limerick more than pulled through. Â My husband, being the incredible man that he is and father in law ran out to get me my first meal as a new mommy! Â When they got there, the grill was closed :( Â They explained the situation and without hesitation, they reopened the grill and kitchen for us. Â This is a very rare case of over the top customer service. Â The fries were seasoned and incredibly delicious. Â Their Irish reuben has cabbage instead of sauerkraut and it is VERY good. Â The salad was lacking because the dressing was so oily. Â All I can think about is how perfect that reuben tasted. Â It was worth the wait!
Review Source:What I Got:
-Limerick Chips app (Fries with crispy horseradish and melted cheese sauce, served with rosemary mayo)
-Bangers & Mash (Sausages with dijon-caper mashed potatoes and corn-mushroom fritters)
-BF got Shepherds Pie
What I Thought:
-Oh.my.god.the.sausage. (insert: Michael Scott's favorite phrase) Â If you get anything from Limerick, please get the sausage/bangers. Â They blew me away. Â When I asked the waiter, my suspicions were confirmed: made in house!! Â And whoa nelly, does it taste it! Â The mashed potatoes were good, though I would have been perfectly content with them plain (not because they were done poorly, but only because I love plain mashed potatoes!) Â The fritters were ok, but nothing memorable. Â I think they would be better if the fillings (mushrooms and corn) were left chunkier instead of finely diced. Â
-The taste I stole of the Shepherds Pie was wonderful; full of delicious lamb flavor! Â Another person at our table got the beef stew & quite enjoyed it.
-The Limerick Chips... oh this saddens me. Â This is the only negative thing I have to say about the place, and the thing that's holding them back. Â Half the fries came out semi-uncooked/ weren't very fluffy in the middle. Â This is KILLER! Â They are a pub & so need good fries for snacking!!! Â ESPECIALLY when you have Fish & Chips on the menu- you can't have half of a textbook Irish dish falling short! Â So sad. Â I had read another review of this place around the time they opened and they had complaints about the fries, as well... seems they haven't got this right, yet. Â Otherwise, the cheese sauce was delicious and the rosemary mayo, though could be thinned out a little and may be too-herby for some, were both very tasty. Â The horseradish chips didn't offer much, and was more of an unnecessary garnish. Â
Misc:
-Our server was excellent. Â Perfectly attentive, friendly and knowledgeable- very big plus!
-Good selection of beers on draft as well as 1/2 guiness drinks and cocktails for a GREAT price! Â Definitely cheaper than many Bethesda/DC locations (that or on par with good deals.)
-Live Irish Music! Â Very fun.
-Almost ALL food is made in-house, I was told. Â From the sausages to the ice cream!
-DEFINITELY get Irish food. Â It's what they do, and they do it well. Â
-They have a vegan meatloaf! Â I was pleasantly surprised by this. Â Not because I am vegan, just because of the variety of it. Â There's also a portabella burger & a grilled cheese. Â For a small menu (and an Irish one at that), this is a great selection of veg/vegan options! Â Well done.
-I definitely want to go back and try their fish & chips (a favorite of mine, and I have heard they do the fish excellently), as well as their desserts. Â Overall, I am very pleased with the place and would definitely go back. Â I think it's a good neighborhood pub and can't wait for all remaining kinks to be worked out!
-Be mindful that a search on google maps may direct you to a closed location on University- this is NOT their location! Â Go to the corner of Elkin & Price Ave.
Look, I get the Irish Pub thing.
I have been going to them since I was a wee lad, and a few in ol' Erin, herself.
Good service, interesting layout, took awhile for a server to get to us, yet when she did, it was spot on thereafter.
What got me was the size of the beers.
small glasses of ale, mostly for the Wee folk.
Not for the likes of someone who reads books like "a Man and His Pint"
These glasses are the Guinness style glasses, yet the small little baby ones.
Whiskey? Twice the price of the Scottish pub 2 doors up the street.
The dartboards had tables in front of them, so I am not really sure if those are every open. Would be nice if they were.
All and all, I am glad to see another Irish Pub,
It's just interesting that a new pub would be the most expensive place to get a drink in Wheaton..
Wish I could do 2 1/2 stars. Â It's pretty with the beautiful bar and sconces and fireplace. Â First visit the server was a little distracted even though it was not crowded (between lunch and dinner); second visit server was more engaged. Â The menu is very limited right now especially for non meat eaters. Â The choices listed on the web page (especially for the brunch) are not all available. Â Even though there were limited choices at brunch, 2 of the 4 dishes weren't as described (no brown sugar or strawberries on oatmeal until requested, or mustard sauce on chicken sandwich). Â Hope they get the menu straightened out as there seems to be potential but may take a month or two or three.
Review Source:Perhaps it is quite fitting that an Irish Pub named after that dirty, old town, nicknamed 'stab city' - Limerick, opened in the perpetually blue collar, and oft downtrodden Wheaton, and what's more to like about this place is that it actually has the feel of a true Irish pub (not just a bar that puts up an Irish flag, a couple of Guinness posters, but has the interior design of a hooters reject and serves buckets of bud light).
This place is diminutive and geometrically challenged. In other words - it's not very big and a tad cramped, but that's what the local town pub in Ireland is supposed to be like. The only thing that is missing is the charm of age, but how can you fault a pub that has just opened for business? They are still dusting away the saw dust.
Now the decor in here doesn't have the genuine fake decor of a Fadó or any other Irish chain restaurant that you can name off the top of your head, but unfortunately, the interior pub design is just a bit off the mark. It is more of a hybrid the typical American style of bar design mixed with the neighborhood Irish pub.
The good thing is that beer selection is very Irish (the most important aspect of a pub) and they have a very nice whiskey selection full of Irish whiskeys and Scottish single malts.
Here is a sampling of what they have on tap:
Bass Ale
Blue Moon White Ale
Carlsberg Lager
Guinness Stout
Magner's Hard Cider
McSorley's Black Lager
Miller Lite
Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale
Sam Adams Boston Lager
Smithwick's Irish Ale
The bad thing is that they don't serve their draught beer in the Irish (or imperial) sized 20 ounce pint glasses. They use the smaller, American 16 ounce pint glasses. It's a minor issue, but many Irish (as well as British) pubs in the states have been serving beer in the 20 ounce pint glasses over the past few years and my expectations for ordering a 'true' pint of Guinness at Irish pub has become the standard, not the exception these days.
As for the standard 12 ounce variety, they also have a commendable bottle selection of micro and macro brews from the States and beyond.
The whiskeys are too numerous to list in this review, but they are plentiful and range from the comfortably obscure to the everyday sublime.
The menu is the traditional Irish fare of stews, pies, and fish and chips. I had the bangers and mash which exemplified the dependable nature of Irish cuisine - taking no risk in bold flavoring, so as to avoid offending any taste bud, but stalwart enough to please the stomach.
A note for the breeders - there is a children's menu with the standard selections, so have no fear in bringing the kids into this establishment.
Lastly, this pub is owned by Neil Foley, who hails from Limerick (hence the name of the pub). Whether you realize it or not, anyone who has spent time frequenting Irish pubs in DC area over the years, as I have, you have probably heard Neil play fiddle (in a number of musical incarnations) over the past 35 years while you drinking your pint away at your local Irish spot. I don't think there is an Irish themed establishment in the DC region that Neil Foley has not played music in......   including the establishments that are now defunct. Now he has his own place to play fiddle and tin whistle and that is more authentic than any piece of wood in Fadó.
So,come all ye, white folks. Forsake Wheaton, no longer! The Anchor Inn may be a distant memory, but this new establishment awaits for you like a long lost lover.
[Please note that the author refrained from writing limericks in the review, and also made no penis references when discussing pint sizes or describing the bangers and mash. It was difficult, but the author persevered.]
Well I only walked in to check their happy hour specials of which there are currently none because "we just opened." Â Yes, like it takes a year of business to write "$2.00 drafts, 4pm - 6pm" or whatever on a blackboard. Â The decor was nice and what I would call "pub elegant". Â Definitely felt like a pub, not a restaurant which is GREAT because we've got enough restaurants in MC!
Review Source:We went tonight on opening night and are very excited about this new offering in Wheaton! Â Some specifics about tonight overall:
The lighting is a bit too bright, especially over the entryway, for a feel-good atmosphere. Â Much good would come from turning them down just a notch. Â The dartboard area, which is exciting to some of us, was congested and unavailable tonight. Â I hope adequate space and availability is maintained in the future.
The food was good overall. Â Tonight we had the chicken sandwich (with great mustard sauce) and the Shepard's pie (which would have benefited from a tad more gravy and spices). Â
For an opening night, this was exceedingly wonderful for Wheaton. Â We will absolutely be back.
