I came to Springfield on the weekend to do some shopping and came across this place. It was pretty good, cant say whether its the best place here but it was good Mexican food. The staff was friendly and actually do speak to you in Spanish if you initiated that part. They had some good murals that would make it seem authentic food and depict the traditional life of Mexico or heritage.
The portions were good and i like the salsa but wasn't hat spicy but still had a good flavor to it.
The service was pretty good which was good depending on how you loo at it.
I had their enchiladas served with a rice and beans and a white salsa which was good.
Hands down the best Mexican in Springfield. Service is fast, polite, and food is consistently hot, fresh, & so good!
Salsa has quite a zing! They do have mild available if you ask.
Try the cheese dip, so creamy, nice zip to it!
Food is always served on a HOT plate, of course! :-)
Entrees: Along w/ the burritos, tacos, fajitas, chili relleno...etc..
The Agave cheese steak is a nice choice, served w/ beans & rice. Grilled steak w/ onions, peppers, served in a flour tortilla w/ pico, & lettuce & covered in cheese sauce. YUMM!
I will say...the staff is ever changing - so far the past couple of years, the food is still consistent.
