Nice selection of cigars and very cool lounge experience with outdoor patio. Â Lost 2 stars for service, couldn't get anyone to help my buy a cigar, with no one in the place. Â So I left. Â I don't mind waiting, especially if you are on the phone, just give me a nod or a heads up that you will be with me shortly. Â I probably still come back, but hopefully will experience better service.
Review Source:Cigar smokers, you have found your new home. Â There is no reason to look further, just sign up and light up and forget about those other dingy lounges you've been to.
I've been coming here for 6 months now and this is consistently the best place to smoke in the Bay Area. Â It has fantastic ambiance and great food next door. Â This shop is so well done that Bentley and Lamborghini decided to open dealerships down the block so that Alex could be surrounded by cars befitting his fine cigar selection.
The members are a very welcoming bunch and its a great community for cigar smokers. Â And if you're new to cigars, come in and chat with Alex and let him improve your quality of life.
I've been to a few of the "cigar shops" around the area and this one is far and away the best. I say "cigar shop" because Los Gatos Cigar Club isn't like any other shop in the area. Whenever I walk in, Alex (owner and manager), makes sure to say hello and help me with any cigar questions I might have that day. I am not an avid cigar smoker by any means, so I always have a couple of questions. Being fairly inexperienced in the ways of the cigar can be really intimidating when you are in a place like this. Normally the guy running the place gets a little put-out after he realizes that you have no idea what you are looking for. Not here.
Also, many of the other clients are down to earth as well. I have gone and hung out in the lounge area of the club a couple of times now and it is outstanding. Always get offered a drink by one of the patrons and have a great conversation with a game on.
Overall, if you are looking to just buy a cigar to take home or if you are looking for a place to hang out and smoke one for a while, this is absolutely the place for you.
I know every cigar shop from the South Bay to San Francisco and the Los Gatos cigar club is truly a gem. I have been a member for a little over a year now and it is a hidden "wonder of the world" if you ask me.
Alex (the owner and manager) could run a 5 star resort.... but as any good man, he chooses to run a premier, 5 star cigar club.
The set-up is like an old oak room, and the regulars and truly enjoyable to get to know. Weather you are a member or just dropping by, it will steal your heart and be calling you name every time your wife (or husband) is out of town.
just ask for Alex...he is the man.
Great hang out spot in downtown LG! My fiancé is a member here and we go here at least two or three times a week. The owner Alex is super friendly and a great host. I don't like cigar smoke but with the high ceilings and good ventilation
You don't even feel the smoke! Â They has 3 large TV screens and you can order food and bring drinks and just chill!
Great people to talk to and hang out with! Â Check this place out!
Went with a friend to smoke a cigar and enjoy a nice glass of scotch we brought in. Really nice place to chill with a cigar. They've got all the lighters, cutters, great ashtrays, etc. The furniture is really nice and comfortable and just a great atmosphere. Sports on the TVs, but not too loud. People either chillin' or talking and enjoying their cigars.
Alex was great for a newbie like me. Explained about the club and the memberships. Told us to go in, check it out, see what we thought.
I was already thinking to become a member as I've wanted to become more of a cigar afficiando in this phase of my life - but the atmosphere of the club, the other members and Alex's affable hospitality closed the deal.
So meet the newest member of the Los Gatos Cigar Club! Hope to see you there!
This place is great if you want to sit back and enjoy a cigar. Alex is a very friendly cool guy that knows his cigars. He spent a lot of time with me educating me on cigars I have never tried. You can bring in your own drinks and they'll supply the glasses and everything else. I had to make a quick run to the local grocery store to get my drink! Might have to become a regular here or a member.
Review Source:I decided to stop by Los Gatos Cigar Club when I was in town for business. Alex Delgado was extremely helpful and friendly from the moment we got there. Â I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a good cigar, and a great experience in the Los Gatos area. Â I will certainly be stopping by again the next time I am in town.
Review Source:Well, it was good to be back... LGCC is family and it has been said by a very wise and handsome man that "No trip to Northern California is complete until there is a stop at the Los Gatos Cigar Club." Â Yes folks, that man is me. Â
We were in San Francisco and my wife wanted to go straight home because we were away from the kids for a few days and she said "we have to get back honey!" Â Being quick on my feet, I had to act fast! Â I immediately called my buddy Tony and had him start the collaboration so we can make a "good will" stop in San Jose and visit our dear friends.
His wife made an incredible lunch and we escaped to LGCC rolling code 3 in my Honda mini-van. Â When we got there, time stood still. Â I really feel like I want to move up to Northern California just so I could be close to this place. Â BD Alex is great and is very hospitable. Â The guys that lounge there are always friendly and there is no nonsense that you would find with guys at a bar or gym.
In fine, I would love to be there as much as possible because it is truly a gem among cigar enthusiasts.
Cigars and generally anything with smoke isn't really my thing BUT I did help out a long time ago with a cigar tasting and it was an interesting experience. Actually, its not smoky in there either. Like I said, I was here helping out with a tasting, my job was to cut and light the cigars. From what I know, they do these tastings every so often and have deals on those nights, there's also delicious catered food and drinks from just across the street and a nice raffle. The lounge itself is very nice, its really rich and luxurious feeling. There's even temperature sensitive lockers for loyal guests to keep wine and cigars in. They have a huge variety of cigars, cigarettes and accessories galore, anything you might need, they probably have it and they're really nice and knowledgeable too. When I was at the tasting they had a representative from the company come with the product to explain it. Â It's a cool place.
Review Source:Had a couple hours to kill after a work event at Campo Di Bocce so I googled for a cigar shop in Los Gatos...I figured Los Gatos fit the demographic. Â Called over and came down to hang out. Â Rich helped me pick out a fine cigar, and I spent a couple + hours enjoying. Â The room looks as good as it does on the internet. Â What the internet can't describe is Rich's warm hospitality. Â On my first visit, Rich made me feel like an old friend visiting his personal man cave. Â I can't say enough about his gracious hospitality. Â He's got a great coffee table book on post-revolution Habanos. I was looking for a new cigar to try, and Rich provided an ouststanding reccomendation. Â I came back a couple of days later and picked up a box. Â I look forward to whiling away many a future hour enjoying my hobby at the LG Cigar Club.
Review Source:I would highly recommend this spot to out of town visitors and or local cigar smokers. I have been a member for a little over a year and a half. I would totally recommend this place for anyone that needs a place to place their hat after a long day of work where conversation can be open or private. Most of the members are cool and the staff is very friendly. The variety of cigars has greatly improved and you would be surprised of the rare and or value priced cigars available in this spot. Here is a place where you don't have to hide and smoke. Its clean, affordable and a fun place to be.
Review Source:Love the atmosphere and 10 bucks to get in for free drinks and food? I am so in! I love the people that work here... they're all super nice! I love the live band the most... they play such wonderful music and are entertaining too!
I was so happy when I won the grand prize of the night! A hugee bottle of wine signed by the wine bottlers. Wow! I had so much fun sitting, eating, and talking with friends.
Even better, it's in Los Gatos! Right after you can go to the bars and keep enjoying the city.
My buddy and I were bumming around Los Gatos during a summer music event and got bored. Â We yelped for a place for cigars and decided to give this place a shot.
WHOA. Â We walk into this *building* dedicated to smokers!! Â With CA zoning ordinances discriminating against smokers, this place is a haven for our "disgusting" habit. Â A BIG thank you to the new owner, Rich, for creating a Cheers-like environment.
Picture your dream living room with multiple big screen TVs to watch stuff guys like to watch. Â The gender mixed crowd is friendly and accommodating. Â You have now joined a party in progress.
Or picture having a chillout session on the patio. Â Your choice - no pressure.
Further, imagine bringing your own soda while smoking. Â Yes, there is a cover for $10, but the parking is free and there is NO rush to leave. Â Smoke after smoke while drinking soda, life doesn't get better.
Oh, but it does. Â The restaurant next door serves food. Â The burger rocks. Â So Feed the Beast while smoking at the Los Gatos Cigar Club.
This place has become my second home, the ownership here is great they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and happy. The members are great people with mix of men, woman, young, old and with all different cultural backgrounds. Everybody is super classy and respectful and treat you as if they have known you forever. This place has two sections, the first is where you can buy cigars and accessories and the second section is a members lounge. Here are the details of the place..
Section 1 the shop- Located in the heart of Los Gatos in a single story building with it's own private parking lot, the cigar shop provides you with endless name brands of cigars. Cohiba, Monte Cristo, Padilla, Every Rocky Patel Line, Every Padron line, Hoyo,Fuente, La Aroma De Cuba, Partagas and SO MANY MORE. Some people will write that the prices may be higher, but that's not true in all cases. I found all their cigars cheaper in price compared to all the boutique shops out there. In a few cases they were 50cents to a $1.50 more than some of the more blue collar places with no ambiance and amenities.
The second section Member Lounge- Has three large high definition plasma screens that have all sorts of programing ( Giants, Warriors, 49ers, Raiders) and when I was there it was SHARKS time. With a great sound system as well awsome music playing Jazz, surrounded by beautiful mahogany wood furniture and great ventilation system, I couldn't help but fall in love. So immediately I took my wife and brought our own wine ( members can bring their own alcohol and glasses are provided). Listening to great jazz music while the TV's were showing sports highlights, we ordered a great dinner from the Tapestry a great restaurant next door, they served us in the lounge as we drank our wine and I smoked a RP Decade I thought life could not get any better and then Richard (one of the owners) brought my wife a great petite flavored cigar (on the house). This place has become my second home because the ownership here treats us members like we are family members.....and my wife is very happy for me to be a member in a classy establishment with great ownership and reputable members.
BTW- At least once a month they have cigar tastings, they bring in different brands and give out free cigars and great discounts for members on boxes and sticks.
Looking for the best cigar selection in the Valley, then look no further! Â Not a cigar aficionado, not to worry Alex or Richie will help you choose the perfect cigar for any occasion. Â Their selection can't be beat and trust me I've tried the competition! Â From Arturo Fuente to Padron Anniversario 1964 they have what you need.
