Los Picachos

The other night I really wanted a burrito so we decided to try a new Mexican place.  It was an accident ending up here, as we were actually trying to find a place that came up on Google.  But this one was there and it looked authentic, so we went for it.  I'm glad we did!

The only negative is that the bowls of salsa aren't filled, so we had to ask for more salsa several times and it seemed like they were rationing it out.  It was great stuff, so I figured it was an overall compliment to keep bugging them for more!

I had a burrito...that's all it said on the menu, "Burrito."  You can pick the type of meat and let me tell you, they have everything from chicken to beef to tongue and pork tips.  I'm not a fan of salsa verde so they switched it out for queso, which was totally cool of them.  This burrito was a beast!  I had to take half of it home and it reheated really well, so that was nice.  The kicker is that this amazing burrito was a mere six dollars.  I've seen comparable ones sold for around $10 at other restaurants and they would have charged me extra for the queso/salsa verde swap.

Overall great experience and we'll definitely be going back to try more things off of the menu.  There are also specials on a chalkboard behind the register and various drink offerings; we didn't make it that far this time, but maybe in the future!
