Place is not cozy, is not design well for the seat area.
Kitchen is dark and not dish tray is located under the bar and kitchen staff is difficult for move in and out.
Waiting time is LONG and NO ANY bread to let customer relax.
Boring TV show and disorder deco way.
SOUP BASE VERY BAD. Â Soup Dumbling HORRIBLE. Â DON"T TRY
PORK BURGER ALSO very SALTY..low quality.
HATE TOILET DOOR FACING the TABLE...HORRIBLE DESIGN . " REALLY ??
I remember being really excited about this place the first couple times I went. At this point I think it's just OK.
The best thing about this restaurant (outside of the tacky western decor, which is great) is definitely the burritos - especially if you get either with pulled pork. I've had the tacos before and they're very good too.
Now I've tried a couple of their main plates and I have to say even though many of the elements were the same I found the food kind of tasteless. I also recently sampled the wings, and while i'm not a huge fan of chicken wings, these embody everything I could possibly not like about wings - they were incredibly fatty and soggy/soft.
Also, the service is always kind of lackluster, and the seating situation is a little odd (youve got a choice of weird high top tables for two, tables at the bar, or regular tables next to the bathrooms).
I still come here from time to time, but the magic has definitely worn off. If you want to check it out play it safe and order one of their tasty burritos - and maybe even call to have them delivered.
On the plus side: they're open really late, and it's a much better option than Taco Bell at 2am.
This is not your make a reservation venue. This is your sit down meet great human beings and enjoy fantastic Florida grilled food venue. Almost every day there is a promotion! I went on Taco Tuesday, best tacos ever!!! Grilled or soft. Make this place a stop on your list when you are in Wynwood or coming from the beaches! The prices are really keep for the quality!!!
Review Source:Have been here three times and can't wait to go back. I've had their ribs twice, a must have. They are so tender, they fall off the bone. BBQ sauce is house made which is a plus for me. The sauce is smoky and spicy but not unbearable.
I love the feel of this little joint. It's so homie and the service is great. The minute you walk in you feel like you're at your friends bar. It's quiet and low key. They're open late so if you want a decent meal late night, this is the best place to eat.
I really love the lost and found saloon, I come here every chance I get. My friends have said the breakfast is awesome so I can't wait to try. Don't forget to check in on Facebook so you can get your free cookie (baked fresh by the way)
This place was just shut down by the health inspector for roach activity! EEK
http://restaurantinspect…
Two words: Baked flautas. You must try these! They are amazing! Great place to go all hours of the day and I appreciate that their food is geared towards being healthier (fresh ingredients, nothing friend, etc.). A few of my personal favorite items off the menu:
1. Baked Flautas, came 9 days in a row for them once.
2. Chocolate Chunk Cookie
3. Wildberry Pie (get it a la mode!)
4. Rogue Hazlenut Nectar Beer
5. Black Bean Burger
6. Chicken Dumpling Soup
Also, they have great deals going on M-F from 4-7, each day is a different special and during that time alcohol is discounted as well. Also keep in mind there are specials for facebook/twitter/foresquare checkins. Staff is also really friendly!
a few facts you should know before going to L&F:
1. you need to order food to have a drink... just be aware that the minimum you can order is a $5 taco (yes, 1 taco is $5) to order a drink. maybe they advertise this somewhere, but myself & my buddy missed it, if they even do. i had 1 bite of what was probably the most bland chicken taco a Yelper has ever Yelped about. they do have a large variety of hot sauces so you could always drown your bland $5 taco in those, if that's how you roll.
2. i read a few yelp reviews about bitchy service... y'all must have also had the chick with the 1/2 shaved head, 1/2 dreadlocks faux-hawk too. she was a bit of a bitch (and i'm being nice when i say that).
3. beer & (shitty) wine only. they have 3 taps, but one had just finished when i got there, so they only had 2 that night. and, sadly, it was the one i wanted (rogue hazelnut, sooooo goood on tap!!!) there were maybe 20-25 bottle options... and actually a decent selection of good beers, for only having about 25 choices.
on a positive note, there is great ambiance and maybe some of the actual dishes are better, but overall, its a solid 3, with the ambiance being the best part about this place.
Went for the first time in like four years. I got the floutas. My wife got the tofu, because that's how she fuckin rolls. The other two people we were with got some other stuff. I asked the waitress to bring out her three favorite hot sauces. All were mouth sexy. I'll definitely be back. Probably in less than four years.
And that Lebron mural at the sports bar next door is the best shit I've ever seen.
Best shit. I've. Ever seen.
This is one of those places that I wish I could keep a secret, but it's too good to not share with others.
Awesome food: Â Check

All in all, this place checks out. Â Nothing better than stopping by this place after you've been drinking or for lunch and enjoying good comfort food and drinks. Â The staff knows how to make you feel at home. Â
I find myself at Lost and Found Saloon at least a couple times a month and to date, I have not been disappointed.
Nice, warm ambience. Healthy, tasty options. Patio, indoor, and bar areas. A small venue, though it doesn't feel crammed. Bathrooms are also used as storage space for booster chairs, but the food was so good, I can overlook that.
The Grilled Marinated Eggplant Con Queso was amazingggg. Lots of vegetarian options!
If you check in on Facebook, you get a free right-out-of-the-oven cookie! So yummy.
Love this L&F! I normally get take-out for lunch with the work crew. Finally sat at the bar and ate a meal. The ambiance is reminiscent of some NYC Village bars where it doesn't take itself seriously. You can draw something on a napkin and have it hung behind the bar. There's a good selection of beer. There's also wine. The menu has a variety of healthy and average foods. The staff is friendly, chatty, and fun. When I was there Abigail and Jessie were tending bar and serving the eats.
If you're in the 'hood for happy hour, giddy-up over to L&F for their Giddy-Up Hour.
TIP: In order to drink, you must order food. One those silly alcohol license things. Oh, and there's plenty of street parking, and you can park at the corner lot depending on the time of day. Ask the friendly staff about parking.
Interesting crowds. Â I was unaware of this hidden gem until I met a few people there, at a suggestion of one of the girls in our party. Â Funny, considering it's so close to the Midtown Mall and the place I call home. Â Their homemade lemonade is delicious, and everyone enjoyed their meals, mostly consisting of sandwiches of different sorts. Â The prices were reasonable, but my grilled chicken sandwich seemed to take forever to come out, so that was a bit of a drawback, as we had to meet some people at a certain time for an event. Â It was tasty, albeit a bit messy to eat. Â I hope to try other menu staples. Â It's a good place to go for a no-frills casual meal or if you're in the area and don't want to spend too much on something more upscale. Â There is a lot next to the restaurant, as well as street parking in front of the restaurant.
Review Source:I've been here multiple times and usually am never disappointed however this last visit left much to be desired. It's particularly disappointing because I talked this place up to my boyfriend only to be embarrassed by the poor quality and uncreative food we received.
First off we just wanted a little appetizer with our beers and ordered chips and their salsa- we had to send them back because the chips were noticeably stale. We brushed that off and decided to go with wings- I remember one visit a buddy of mine ordered these delicious baked wings that were marinated with a honey glaze. I looked for the item but only saw your normal wing fare, so hot wings it was. These were nothing to write home about- in fact the wing sauce tasted like a generic cheap hot sauce. Only positive here was the meat fell off the bone.
For the entree again I went with something I remembered a friend ordering, me tasting it and it being good. The chicken flautas were ordered and well here we go again- it was alright. Just alright. Nothing spectacular and minimal effort in composing anything unique to make one want to return.
Only good thing of the night was the beer. Â I had the Hazelnut Brown and the boyfriend had an Amber Ale. So come for a beer and try your hand at rolling the dice on the food- may've you'll have better luck.
i don't like this place because they make you order food with your beer. i understand it's part of their liquor license, but when the food made me sick...two separate instances, i just can't go back.
i wish i could just drink here, but i can't due to their liquor license, so i won't go back.
Dear Lost and Found,
You officially lost my business sad to say. Went in with a groupon $28 for $60 bill came $75.00 and they told me I cannot use it. I got the taco Tuesday special. Nowhere on the groupon did it say that specials are excluded in any fine print. I have bought gift certificates in http://restaraunt.com and it says excludes specials. The girl had the nerve to tell me groupon made a mistake and did it write excludes specials. A multi billion dollar company made a mistake for your hole in the wall saloon. Hmmmm I highly doubt it I told her to all the manager and she told me they didn't have one. I said ok then the owner who I have seen and she told me she wouldn't call to ask he was on a delivery. 18 % gratuity added onto the bill no wonder why they took so long what do they care if the food comes out tomorrow. The girl Jessica was so rude and looked at me as if I was speaking in a foreign language when I showed her that it did not state you could not get the specials.
I was just in there Sunday night and now again Tuesday . It is really poor business and no wonder why they have so many negative reviews. The food has gone down hill, and the lousy service doesn't help either. Â I did not order a side of attitude !
Came here during their happy hour, good deals abound. All beers $3.50 and many items on the menu are at discounted prices. Had a pulled pork taco, delicious, and 1/2 rack of ribs, meh, a lot left to be desired but it being a paltry $5 made it bearable. Service was very attentive and friendly. This place does give you a saloon vibe but the place is tiny. In the end it's a great place to start the night off at.
Review Source:It took me a while to finally visit this place. For the longest time I did not know whether Lost and Found Saloon was a restaurant or a thrift store or what. After confirming that it was indeed a restaurant and that they were open for lunch, my buddies and I decided to give it a shot.
While the establishment looks plain and uninspired on the outside, the inside is a different story. The decor is witty and charming with quite the western flair. There were plenty of novelty items to admire scattered all around, and that kept us occupied while we waited 45 minutes or so for our food to come out. Â
The menu was impressive. Lots of options with pretty decent prices.
Our waitress, who happened to be an old friend of mine, was very awesome. She did her best to take care of us while the cook dragged his feet, and we all appreciated it.
When the food finally arrived, it was pretty delicious. My pulled pork sandwich was a bit spicy, but I did not mind it. My friends ordered some Tex-Mex food that looked just as good.
The restrooms were unfortunately right next to our table, but nobody used them while we were eating. If and when I do return, I will probably just eat outside or at the bar. Â
Overall, I was pretty satisfied. And I love that there is free parking on the side of the building.
The Lost & Found Saloon truly has something for everyone. Not only is the restaurant vegan and vegetarian friendly, but also suitable for meat lovers too. Anything you ever hoped a saloon to be, this place is. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is very laid back, they have horses everywhere and they even have western movies playing on the TVs. If you ever wanted to meet a real life cowboy or cowgirl, you may find them here having a drink at the bar. The food is fresh, they're open late, they deliver and it's fun. What more could you ask for?
On my recent visit, I stopped by with my friend to fuel up before a night of drinking. We started off the meal with the Crab Stuffed Endives, made of fresh Belgian endives stuffed with lump crab meat, corn, cilantro, and chipotle aioli. I don't like cocktail shrimp and I drink my water room temperature which basically means I don't really like cold food, but despite that, I actually liked this. Instead of just saturating the crab with mayonnaise like so many do, they did it right and along with the corn and the chipotle it created a nice tasting dish. It was surprisingly spicier than I was expecting it to be, but that's a good thing.
For my entree, I decided to get the Half-rack of Barbecue Baby Back Pork Rib Treat. They also have a dinner portion that comes with rice or spinach as a low carb substitute but I wanted to make sure I had room for dessert so I got the app instead. The ribs came with coleslaw which was very good. I tend to not be a fan of coleslaw since most people douse the cabbage in mayo and sugar but this was not like that and tasted very fresh. My complaint is that the portion size is so small. The ribs were less than stellar. They were cooked well and tender but the flavor left something to be desire. I was expecting more than that and have had way better so I wouldn't choose to order that again.
The friend that came with me had the Posse Club Burrito. If you ever wanted to know about good burritos, this one right here fits that description! The burrito was filled with steak, bacon, avocado, shredded manchego, cheddar, and Monterrey Jack cheese blend, lettuce, tomato, and chipotle aioli. If you were going to choose any one dish here, it would have to be the burrito; it's really that amazing!
I am so glad that I did not skip out on dessert. The Chocolate Chip Jumbo Cookie a la Mode is by far one of the best I have ever had! I know I said the burrito would the one dish to eat but if you were willing to forego food and just eat a dessert instead, this is the only thing you will ever have to eat here to keep coming back. I am drooling thinking about it now! I don't know how to describe it other than its soft, chewy, chocolaty and so mouthwatering good that you forget about life eating it. I felt like I was competing with my friend to see who can eat the most, the fastest.
As Benjamin Franklin put it, "lost time is never found again", so don't waste your time searching for someplace to eat, find yourself at the The Lost & Found Saloon.
HORRIBlE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! The owner was SOOO RUDEEE!!!! Terrible service and the food was mediocre, all dishes anyone can make at home.
1. We were a group of 8 that ended up turning into two groups of 4 because they have no tables for that many people and we couldn't move the tables to make a bigger one.
2. Tables are right next bathroom door...great...which means any time anyone goes to the bathroom and leaves the door open we get a beautiful view of the toilet!!
3. ALL of our plates came out at different times which means that while 1 or 2 of us were eating the rest where starving. and while we were ready to go the other's food was just arriving and so on for different plates. It was torture!!! that's a big NO NO!! and the main reason why any of us 8 people will never go back. I don't know what the hold up was because we were pretty much the only people there. I mean really?! 30 minutes for hummus and chips?!!. Â thank god we got a couple of plates to share.
4. Prices are soo unreasonable, seriously!! the nachos consisted of pretty much just cheese and pico de gallo so everything else you had to add which resulted in 17 dollar nachos that I could have gotten anywhere else for 9 bucks, NOTHING speacial. The burger had no cheese no mayo no mustard, no nothing, just bread, meat and a pickle. the Mahi mahi was nasty and the rice was gross and god forbid you ask for anything cause then you get a nasty attitude or it will arrive 30 minutes later.
NEVER going back!!
Monday night dinner and first visit to the place. Very low key, small place past Target midtown. We sat outside, on the sidewalk but blocked from the street.
Monday night special price on BBQ Ribs so I ordered half rack with spinach instead of curry rice. The ribs were good and the BBQ sauce was just a bit spicy I liked it a lot. The sides were two huge slices of portobello mushroom, asparagus, coleslaw and some tortilla chips (a little bit of each). I still got it served with rice but they quickly brought me the spinach topped with sun-dried tomatoes. The sides (especially the spinach) were not very tasteful but you can actually order the ribs without sides as an appetizer.
My husband for the posse energy burrito and added pulled pork and loved it. It is served with two small sides of cole slaw and salsa. He also got two amber beers.
For dessert, we each got a jumbo cookie (chocolate chips and white chocolate chips/macadamia nuts). They are served warm and were very buttery! Delicious!
Two dinners, two beers and two desserts: $40! Can't beat that.
The food is not the best ever but for that price it is totally decent. It's an easy place, nothing fancy, service can be slow but it was nice to enjoy dinner.
Will go back and definitively recommend it!
I was lost with the terrible service and found again while eating the delicious food selection here. I normally don't review about anything online but after my experience last night, I felt obligated.
After you leave, you'll walk away surprised... how bad the service is and how amazingly delicious the food is. The girls that work here are in need of some sort of training. Our order was forgotten, no refills in the hour and a half I was there... I had to go to the bar and request a refill I was so thirsty. At the end of the meal, the manager came over to literally apologize.
Beyond the terrible service (probably the worst I've ever experienced), I am still amazed at the food selection and how delicious the food is. If you want to avoid how terrible the service is, order. They deliver and it's free. If you want a night out with the well packaged dining experience of service and food, avoid this place. Munches at midnight, order take out.
I have no idea how I have not been here before last night!? What an amazing little jewel this place is! So unassuming from the outside and in a random area - just west of midtown, but you step inside - and it is this cozy, intimate saloon, tons of character, and fun paraphernalia hanging on the walls. They serve water in bell jars...love little details like that. Anyway, we enjoyed modelos, the fish dip (supperr yummy) and amazing mahi tacos! Then...the dessert - probably the best apple pie - served hot with ice cream that I have ever had. I can't wait to go back.
Oh and though you really should try and eat inside, there is outdoor seating if you want to bring your puppy.
Ohhhh...was Lost and now I'm Found. Sorry. I had to do it.
Bf and I have biked past here billions of times, and thought it looked like a spot we'd dig. I don't think we realized the saloon had food. We stopped in at about 10 pm after several unsuccessful attempts at dinner at different spots...one of those nights. Something called our name and we dropped in.
It's my new best friend!!!!!! Finally I find a Miami place of eat and drink that feels good and anti poser... keeps it real. If only it was on the beach and in walking distance-but no way a place that cool could survive in corny, I'msocoolSouthBeach. The space is pub comfy. It's bigger than I realized-I didn't have a look at the inside room. We sat in a booth and chilled while watching the Olympics.
Bf had grilled Mahi Mahi and loved it. I loved the super awesome helping of veggies (yummy sauteed spinach, asparagus and portobello) accessorizing his plate. I had to return my veggie chili. It's gorgeous, but was served with lots of great shaved cheese and a swirl of sour cream-neither of which I dig. The bartender was super pleasant and patient and took it back with no worries. I had my new chili soon after. It wasn't the veggie chili one might be accustomed to; was more like a tomato soup with nice pieces of corn, beans and other yums. It was tasty.
The menu is huge and superfriendly to picky veggies (hi). We can't wait to hit Taco Tuesday and also try all of the yummy egg and burrito dishes.
I adore Lost and Found. Everything I have ever ordered from this place has been delicious. The owner, KB, has always been really friendly and generous. I even held my birthday party here in october. The rule about having to eat in order to drink can be very frustrating, but he even gave us a special on tacos in order for everyone to enjoy their time. Â
I order delivery from here often and I usually get the Posse Energy Burrito with Portobello and their Black Bean Burger is one of the best I have ever had.
The servers are so friendly I feel like I have known them forever. Neyli is always so sweet and helpful.
My boyfriend is a vegetarian and they have so many different options for him to choose from. It's one of my most frequented places here in Miami and I will keep coming back.
I am a former employee of The Lost and Found Saloon and I can explain some of the answers for why there is such poor service in this restaurant. First of all, the owner is slightly out of his mind. This is a man who is more concerned with whether his employees follow rules such as keeping the salt and pepper shakers together than making sure there are enough employees working to cover a full restaurant. The next issue here is that there is a really high turnover rate in employees because no one can stand to handle the abuse from the owner for more than a month or 2. The kitchen staff is treated under horrible working conditions and yelled at in French throughout the day, even though they are also understaffed and do an incredible amount of work for their low very low wages.
The food is excellent however. It is consistently good, though overpriced. The desserts are delicious, especially the pie or cookies a la mode. The food's also prepared with quality ingredients and by a staff with much experience. Gitty Up Hour is a very reasonable deal and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't been to the restaurant. The draft beers are excellent, the burritos are wonderful, and pretty much anything on the menu is decent, but most of the stuff is overpriced.
I think the only hope for this restaurant is for the owner to start treating his employees like human beings so that he will not have to replace them every month. This is why the service seems slow and why the waiters seem rude. There is no organization, and the working conditions under a boss that treats you worse than a POW can create a bit of tension between the waiters and the customers. I do recommend you check out the restaurant at least once, if you go while the owner is gone for the day and have a waiter/waitress that has worked there for over a month, you might receive decent service and a good meal.
I live near by this restaurant and everyday I pass by I see lots of people standing around. Also you cant miss they have like 20 Yelp! stickers all over the door. Anywho, my experience............
We went inside to see if we can get a table outside, The girl at the counter gave us our forks and menus and we stood there thinking ookkkkaaaayyy and she said Ok, go look for a table outside. Fine! We did!
Our waitress comes doesn't say a word, she just hovers over us with her notepad and her pen. Finally after 2 minutes she says "Need a minute?" We kindly responded with Yes, please! So when she comes back I asked what would she recommend, Ladies and Gentleman her response was Um, I dont know! WTF?!? So in a nice tone I say, You work here! Tell me whats popular! Tell me something you tried and thought nothing but awesomeness about it! So after I told her that she said in a dry plain tone "People like the burritos" LMAO! I said FINE! Let me have a burrito! I asked if I can substitute the coleslaw for extra salad and she said "No, the owners hate when people do that!" LOL!!! At this point her tip money was at a negative, she would have had to pay me to keep sitting here!
Finally the burrito! Oh my Goodness! My first bite of the burrito was like biting into heaven! Holy Cow! It was sooo tasty I was lost for words until the burrito disappeared. People you have got to try the Energy Burrito with Chicken! The table spoon scoop of salad was far beyond tasty. I don't know what they used for it but good lord it was good!!!
Aw man they are lucky the burrito was good cause the service was a solid NEGATIVE stars!
I love the feel of this place. It's very cool and comfortable. The food has been great everytime I've gone. Other than all that, I have a few issues with this place.
1. Their service has been horrible every time I go. They only refill the drinks when you ask. God forbid they even come by your table to see how you're doing. That won't ever happen
2. Food is pretty overpriced. Especially the desserts.
3. Regardless of the service, I believe 18% gratuity is now on every check. If you ask them to split the check, they will definitely add the gratuity. No wonder the servers here couldn't care less. They get paid regardless of their attitude or work ethic.
The best part is their food. I've had the chicken flautas and the chipotle salmon. Wow! Fresh and tasty! That's the only thing that saves this place and the only reason I gave them 3 stars.
I'm appalled that this place only has 3.5 stars, so much so that I felt compelled to update my review and further extol the virtues of Lost and Found Saloon.
This place is, without a doubt, a 1%er in terms of SIMPLE, anti-froufrou food. Without a freaking doubt. It's all fresh and surprisingly filling despite how ineffectual in combating hunger the food may look. Just have an energy burrito. Trust me. You will walk away satisfied.
Aside from the food, Lost and Found offers a bevy of specials on any given day. For example: one day (I forget which) offers tacos at two bucks a pop, and another day (I also forget which) hustles wings at seventy-five cents each. I can't attest to the wings (I ALWAYS get a burrito), but the tacos are surprisingly big and absolutely stuffed with whatever add-on you choose.
Lastly, you've got Giddy Up Hour from 3:00 to 7:00 everyday. 3.50 for a Monk in the Trunk is on par or better than just about any other place inasmuch as craft beers are concerned.
Word of warning: do NOT call it Happy Hour instead of Giddy Up Hour. You will be met with a sneer. A dirty, dirty sneer...
In the interest of balance, however, I do have to bring up one qualm that has gotten a little annoying with time: you can't just show up and get a beer. You can't. It's some legal hurdle that Lost and Found refuses to, well, hurdle. Ownership has to do something about this so that you can stop in and wet your whistle without having to buy food.
Let's face it. You're thirsty more often than you are hungry. And life can be a total B sometimes. Sell me beer!
Location, location, location. Not! (A little scary hood.)
If you are looking for a place with a really friendly staff, this is it! Even if you do no more that get a basket of hot French Fries, you will delight at the experience of placing the order. The wait staff is there for you. You are transported out of Miami (to almost anywhere else) where people are actually friendly and courteous (not rude). I guess they live up to the name 'Lost and Found' The door is a time warp to another dimension.
Order a pitcher of Monk in the Trunk draft for a South Florida microbrew, that's very refreshing with flavorful...
Don't expect everything to arrive perfect ('Lost'), but do expect them to try to 'Find' it right before you leave.
I'll be back!
Indifference. That's what first thing that comes to mind when Lost and Found is mentioned among friends. Let's get it out of the way - the food is top notch. Whether you order a burrito, quesadilla, nachos - yadda, yadda, yadda...you are going to get your moneys and you might have to unbuckle your Wranglers in the process.
Where my qualm and questioning start is in the actual restaurant experience. Most people love to eat out with friends, family, their local mechanic - it happens, just go with the flow. Whatever the case may be - once you invite Jack Tripper and turn your dining experience into a Three's Company, Â it becomes more of nuisance than anything to eat at the Saloon. You can blame it on lack of personnel or inexperience but it usually doesn't end well. Don't get me wrong - the waiters are usually nice. It just always looks like they're stressed and overwhelmed when dealing with larger groups.
So I've resolved to the following: In the true spirit of a saloon I suggest you saddle up and ride to this place solo if you want to have a nice dining experience. Post up near the bar and have some chit-chat with the barkeep. You want to be a trailblazer? Bring your posse and expect to wait at least 2 hours.
Random thought on this place: LOVE the plastic horsie on the facade. Funny touch!
Definite Plus: Enough hot sauce to leave your sphincter raw for days
Definite Minus: Not enough space for me, you, your momma, your cousin...
While the food was decent, the service was terrible. I wonder if it was the chics first night working. Took about 20 min to just ask what we wanted to drink and the place wasn't that full. Refills only came when we asked and when they came to take our food order. Took forever to come out, over 30 min. My friends order was supposed to have bacon in it and it was MIA. Not too happy. Let's not even get into the issue with the check. Entire time at restaurant: over 2 hours.
Doubt I'll come back here.
This hidden little gem is probably my favorite place to eat in Miami. Â Fun little bar inside. Â The owner is a great guy and I love the vibe there. Â Amazing southwestern food!
The only knock on the place is that the service is just awful. Â It's employed by lazy hipsters that seem too high to remember your order. Â The owner always comes over to apologize for his awful staff then makes it right by buying a beer for me. Â I can't tell you how many times it's happened to me there. Â It's comical how bad the servers are there. Â I guess it's just part of the place's charm.
The BBQ ribs are delicious and the mahi tacos are out of this world. Â They also have a great breakfast menu too. Â I highly suggest the juevos rancheros.
Lost and Found is where you go when its late and your heart wants nachos and you are feeling too classy for Taco Bell or Denny's. Â Its a small restaurant, maybe 6 tables, and a decent amount of available parking at 1am. Â
Service is OK, for a while we were the only ones in the restaurant and we still had to wait quite a while for our food to come out. Â We ordered drinks and wanted to share the nachos. Â Our waitress seemed a little embarrassed to tell us that each of us had to order a meal if we wanted to order drinks. Â That's a crazy policy! Â We might have spent more $$ on drinks if we were not forced to order food.
On to the nachos. Â We almost ordered a $50 nacho plate.
Let me explain....
The menu says we can add additional nacho toppings for $4 but failed to mention that the toppings were $4 EACH. Â Maybe we were slightly buzzed from our pre-drinks but we basically wanted every topping minus 2. Â Mid order the waitress seemed amazed and said "Wow, no one has ever done this before" and she was laughing. Â We asked her to confirm the "toppings" policy and she said they were $4 each. Â So we had to cut down the order.
I like the intimacy of Lost and Found but I have to say they are a little sneaky.
PS- the nachos were delicious
Lost and Found Saloon is one of those places you really want to support and patronize. It's decorum is cool and their lunch specials are basically unbeatable.
Drinks:
Their wines leave a lot to be desired. You are better off going to Lester's first and then coming here for food.
Their beer selection is actually pretty good. Their Hazelnut and Blueberry beers are pretty good.
The Food:
First of, the food takes a while to come out. So place your order quickly if you are hungry. The best thing out of this place are the nachos. Everything else I've ordered from here has been forgettable.
The nachos have fresh and sweet tomatoes that really set the tone for whatever toppings you will add later. Sadly, each additional topping is $4. Now, $4 for each extra topping can be exuberant depending on the topping.
The food is seasoned lightly. So if you really like your food seasoned to mention it to them.
Service:
Our servers that night were Regina and Nelly. They were both very helpful and polite. In fact, they even humored us by at times joining in on our conversation.
One thing they don't tell you when you come in is that you need to buy food to have a drink. We were going to have 2 appetizers but ended up having to buy more food because we had already ordered the drinks.
The Good:
- Lunch specials are amazingly cheap and good.
- On certain dishes portions are more than generous for the price.
- Good beer selection.
- Good music
- Bathroom and place are clean.
- Good service
The Bad:
- Kitchen takes a while to make dishes (15mins +) at times.
- They don't tell you, but you have to buy food to have a drink.
- $4 for Nacho toppings is a bit too much.
