Checked this place out after walking out of Drogerie a bit underwhelmed.
Part of the Regent Hotel it's chic, dim and full of beautiful people, yet not too pretentious. A bit pricey but what isn't in that part of the beach?
The Drinks:
It's another in the trending mixology bars, but they did it right (like Broken Shaker), with daily drink specials, Daily Spiked Punch, big ice cubes, long spirally stirring spoons fresh herbs and such.
I'm a Old Fashioned fan so I tried their's which was made with 10 yr Old Eagle Rare Bourbon set me back $20 but it was a nice stiff big drink made with skill you get what you pay for and where you pay for, I know tons of places to get cheapy drinks.
I'll have to try the fruitier/wilder cocktails some other day ($14)
The Vibe:
Great, go there nicely dressed. You can sit outside or inside great either way.
Definitely will go back for more.
Great bar tucked away from the hustle and bustle of South Beach. Located in the back of the Regent Hotel, we decided to check out this place based on just a small number of Yelp reviews. When we got there, it was pretty empty - we just wanted to get a drink after dinner so I guess it was still early on a Sunday night. There were a few regulars there (I think), the bartender, and us. The bartender was very nice - he added our favorite drink, the Vieux Carre, to the day's drink menu. I typically like my drinks a little stiffer, but they were still tasty. The ambiance of the place is really cool too - classy with an old school feel. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a good cocktail in a relaxed environment.
Oh also, the bartender hand carved an ice ball for us!
Leave it to me to discover the only speakeasy in Miami. Â I felt so lucky to have this bar in my hotel. Â The drinks are delicious. Â Danny, the head bartender, is super nice and does an excellent job. Â Feel free to give him a spirit you enjoy and whatever taste you're looking for and he'll be happy to mix something up for you. Â I went to this bar every day I was in Miami and enjoyed it as much every time.
