Louie's Chicken Shack

Yummy!  Our family of 5  enjoyed a Sunday afternoon meal, and LOVED it.  Tasty sauces and HUGE portions, at least on the sandwich I ordered, the Big Louie.  Bbq chicken and slaw with a side order fries, mmm, mmm.  The kids meal grilled cheese sandwich came with generous portions of fries or tater tots, too.  My husband got the 5 strips meal and my son got the chicken and waffles.  Clean location, friendly server, and a filling meal. We will return.

Update...the owner from Louie's contacted me via Yelp and asked me to give them another try, he included a coupon and said he knew they could do better. I totally respect that and will definitely give them another try.

I think it's great that this place was created by former NAU students, but I really think that the drinks and entertainment need to be upgraded. I ordered a Cosmopolitan and a Whiskey Sour and I could barely taste the alcohol in either drinks. Their chicken strips are pretty tasty and affordable at $6, but I didn't think it was any better than some of the strips I've had at fast food joints. Overall, I think this place has potential - maybe get some karaoke or something for entertainment, otherwise it's not exactly the most happening of places.
