I've been to Boston Beer Work and enjoyed the service and food. I can not say the same about the one in Lowell.

I've been here a total of 3 times. I should have learned my lesson the first visit when I had to ask 2 different waiters for some silverware.

Something I've NEVER seen before is how uneducated and unprofessional the staff is. First, I had asked my waitress if a certain beer was lite or not, she had no idea.

We ordered the ham and shrimp Mac and cheese, and they served to us without ANY pasta. We informed our waitress and she apologized and I thought we would be getting what we ordered. She then proceeds about 15 mins later, with a bowl full of pasta. I had to POUR the pasta onto my dish and mix it.

The last time I checked, if you make something wrong, you make a completely new one. It was just an awful experience.

Right next to the (now rotting) Lowell Brewery, there is ample parking- even during the Bruins game 4 against the Penguins.
It was busy, but not obnoxious and (probably because of the game) it was a 20's -40's crowd with a few families as well.
The three different beers we ordered were a Nut Brown Ale which was yummy, a Watermelon Ale which is very refreshing and very watermelony, and the Apricot Saison which was good, but I'm not particularly a fan of saison's.

One of the things I found interesting is that you have basically 3 waiters who help you out along the way and even the hostess offers help if need be. They were busy, but we didnt have to wait too long to get a second beer, although we did have to look for someone at one point.

I got a the El Paso Chicken Salad which I thought was very yummy. The chicken was dry rubbed, not a spec of rubbery, and cooked perfectly to my liking. The mixed greens were crisp and the dressing wasnt loaded on and not over bearing. Would definitely suggest it.

I tried my friends steak tips. While I thought the marinade was yummy, the steak itself was a bit chewy. It was cooked properly, just possibly not the greatest steak.

My other friend got the pastrami sandwich. Although he would have preferred less cheese on it, he said the meet was great.

I'll even go so far as to say the bathrooms were tidy and smelled more pleasant than most.

Overall a very good dining experience.

Ill preface this by saying I don't dig chain restaurants. I will if a group decides it, but it is never my first choice for anything. That being said, I am a Beer Works fan. Yummy beers, decent food, and a chill atmosphere. Beer and food specials every month and signing up for their free rewards card gets you $10 to spend every month (my fiancé and I both have one so at least $20 off every bill) plus extra for points earned. I DIE for their El Paso chicken salad, swapped out with blackened salmon.. The toasted cumin dressing is so delicious. I don't like to eat the same thing over and over but i've had this salad at least the past 5 times I've been there. My fiancé usually goes for a chicken sandwich or a burger and is never disappointed. If you're looking for an easy casual night out, this is the spot.
