Magnolia Park

We came here to hear the TRADOC Army Band perform at their Music Under the Stars series. Tonight's stay here was cut short due to a strong line of thunderstorms that swept through the area. Since the storms lingered longer than prudent, the band postponed tonight's performance.

However. Since my last posting about this, well, venue isn't the correct term for it, performance area, is better suited, things have changed.

A nice permanent bandstand has been constructed with a shelter room behind the stage for storage. Lighting has been added as well.

Still missing permanent bathroom facilities, and any kind of fixed food vendors. You will also need to come early, as parking is still tight.

I see this as a work in progress. The band is superb. That much is not up for review. The facility itself, is coming along, slowly, but nicely. I would suspect, that in today's world of tight budgets, it make take a couple of years, for the finishing touches to have been put on. In the meanwhile, the TRADOC band NCO's and Officers are doing their best to make their time here as enjoyable for the patrons, as possible.

It's a work in progress. Progress that you can see, and appreciate.

Bring a lawn chair, dinner and your favorite drinks (ETOH or otherwise) and enjoy a fine performance by an excellent band. Enjoy the Music. It's under the stars, after all.
