First of all, I LOVE the "dive type, hole in the wall" places. Â More often than not, the food is better than the traditional chains and the service is typically very "homey". Â Well, that is definitely the case with Marcy's! Â I'd driven by a few times and finally visited for the first time a few months ago. Â I instantly fell in love with Sherry, who was sassy, brassy and bold! Â The service was great and the breakfast was very well done! Â
Since that first visit, my partner and I have been back several times, bringing other friends with us. Â We were there this morning for breakfast, and after some gentle ribbing from Sherry (because it had been a few weeks since we'd been in!), we helped ourselves to another fine breakfast. Â The hash browns are very well done, even crispy on demand, the omelettes are very big and very good, the biscuits and gravy are outstanding... Â Well, you get the picture! Â
So far, we've only been for breakfast, so I can't speak to lunch or dinner. Â But I would imagine they're probably just as good also. Â I don't think you'll be disappointed whenever you make a visit to Marcy's.
