I guess we are one of the few on YELP who have had a good experience here. We came just for the casino and had a lot of fun playing blackjack and the slots for a good few hours and even came back later that night and the next morning! We had the same dealer (Tracy) for a majority of that time and she was so nice and friendly! Â She made the experience for us, even remembering our names from the night before! We also had the delicious breakfast buffet which had my favorite, biscuits and gravy which were awesome! We have nothing to complain about and we will be back when they have their hotel to stay! :)
Review Source:The one star is b/c they scam people to get them in the buffet. Online under hours of operation it says the dinner buffet is $16.99 and is buy one get one free for 21 and over with player cards. I even confirmed this promotion with the woman that signed me up for the player card, however when I got in line at the buffet I was told very flatly that is was no longer the case. They refused to honor their online promotion. Total crap.
Review Source:NO NO NO! The food was mediocre. Glad to see there was a vegan option, but the feel of the burger was like a cloth napkin, lol.
It was my boyfriend and I's first time, so we waited in the long line to sign up for a card and each would recieve $10 on the card to gamble. Woo! I was ready. Well, the 'boy' who helped me couldn't get the computer working so he had to restart the computer. He then brought me to another where a man with braids came and helped me. He wasn't all that friendly, but seemed to know what he was doing. Then, a 3rd 'dude' came by and was laughing and having a conversation with the other man. After about 2 monutes on the computer, he slides the card on the counter and says nothing.. so, I say "That's it?" He says "Yuuup."
Well, I go to the first slot machine ready to play and I realize the imbosile didn't give me a pin number, SO I DIDN'T GET MY $10. I didn't play anything and we left. The line was very long & it's probably better I didn't go back.
Looks like I am in the minority, but I really liked this place. Â We just returned from a 3 day stay at the Beau(piece of crap). Â We did actually win some at Margaritaville. Â Yes, you did have to stand in line for the buffet, but it was always buy one, get one free. Â A lot cheaper than anywhere else in Biloxi and they all have the same frozen fried food. Â After a very disappointing room and gambling experience at the Beau, this place was a treasure. Â I wouldn't walk from the Palace to Margaritaville. Â Too far and not safe because that end of the area is still so deserted. Â Biloxi is not what is used to be.
Review Source:This place is so nice, it is a beautiful place. Gift shop is great, food & drinks are wonderful. The service wasn't good, I waited 20 minutes to get a glass of water. I ask Robert our waitier 2 times, my friend went to bar, the lady behind the bar acted like she didn't hear him. He called out to her 3 times. Finally some guy came from out back and I ask him for a glass of water. Them a lady come out with a glass of water for me. I told her what had happened, and she said she was sorry. I usely don't complaint, but word of the mouth is the best advertisement. I hope some one takes the time to read this and talks to the staff at Volcano bar.
Review Source:Never again, bad waitress, rude manager and the will try to get one over on you. The beer is overprices and make sure you are check the date if you have a coupon. They will let you use it then come over and tell you they can do it this one time but you still have to pay they tax and if you had tip added to your bill they will make you pay that too..... Food tastes blah!!! Just don't go is my recommendation
Review Source:A friend and I stopped by on the way back from New Orleans to Mobile for lunch at the Margaritaville restaurant. Â We both had burgers and fries and they were good not great. Â I had the BBQ burger and my fried had a cheeseburger. Â Service was great and we sat outside because it wasn't too cold. Great view of the bay. Â I would visit again. Seems like a great place to hang out during the spring or summer.
Review Source:I think this place must be closing down soon.
Walked from the Palace on a Wednesday night a solid mile walk, but it was nice weather. Â Would not recommend the walk at night as it is not lit up at all.
The staff walking in was nice, we walked in and walked out. Â The place was dead, the restaurant was closed at 9pm. Â I read the reviews about the view and was excited to get there, until almost everything was closed. Â
Not recommended by me.
We went to the Biloxi Margaritaville Casino on a Thursday 8/16/12 and it was great! Â We were signed up for reward cards without having to get in line and was given a $25.00 gift card to use in the restaurant. Â The Buffet is small and not impressive, so we chose the restaurant. Â It was great, just like all Margaritaville Restaurants but has a really great view of the bridge and bay. Â If you know what to order, it can't be beat. Â We shared the Volcano Nachos and a Cheesburger in Paradise with fries and still had left overs to take home. Â The gift shop was nice and we got Margaritaville Casinos T-Shirts for $9.95 each. Â We tried the slots and they were fun. Â Free drinks and even free self serve soft drinks.
Review Source:Dear Jimmy,
Words fail to describe my dismay with the visits we endured at your Biloxi location. Let me start with the positive:
Every staff member we encountered is quite friendly - extra kudos to Linda, who went to extra mile for us.
We were given coupons to use at your buffet; the signage said open until 11PM, but it was on lock down at 9:15pm. Linda was nice enough to offer comp meal at the full-service restaurant for the three of us.
Gumbo - it was brown, like a nice roux should be, over rice. That is the only thing that slop had in common with gumbo.
Catch of the Day: Mahi-Mahi. A nice, frozen Pacific fish to serve sitting on the waters of the Gulf South.
Crabmeat & Shrimp salad: Smothered in sour cream, I detested no crab, or krab. There were some bits of shrimp over a large bed of lettuce.
Crab Dip - just cheese with jalapeno, serveed with Texas toast.
Corn Chowder - corn and 1/2 & 1/2, no seafood.
The next day, we tried earlier in the evening at the buffet - how could it get any worse?
It did.
i'm not going in to specifics, but it's not the place I would pick for a special occasion unless it's visitation day at the home.
The slots themselves were lousy, but you gotta' pay the bills somehow. The food outlets are up to the task.
Good luck,
Rene
We have visited and played at the Margaritaville Casino several times since opening in Biloxi. Â At first, the machines were a little loser and you could play for a longer time than at the other casinos. Â Recently though, since the accident with the blender girl in the restaurant, the machines are alot tighter. Â We have noticed that bonus rounds are scarce and jackpots have dissapeared. Â We used to take $100 and play for several hours, but in the past 2 weeks, the same amount lasts about 45 minutes. Â Big change. Â
The food in the buffet is gross and all fried and carbs. Â We were not impressed. Â The larger restaurant with the silly entertainment is not very good either. Â We have eaten there almost every time we visit the casino. Â You do not earn free meals at this casino like you would the other casinos.
We were only here for a short time and my stomach was really upset but we LOVED this casino! It has a great laid back feel that you would expect from jimmy buffet! The air seemed very clean even though it was not smoke free and all of the machines were newer and not out dated, I even won a little bit of money here!!! I wish the casino was a little bigger, but I here they are opening a hotel, so maybe they will open up some more gaming with that!!!! My boyfriend had a cheeseburger and although it was a little pricy like all of jimmy buffets restaurants he enjoyed it!!! And the service at the restaurant was great too! I really liked the gift shop as well! We will come back here and hopefully by then we can even stay here!!!! Â Hopefully they will build a cool pool maybe with a lazy river too, that would be awesome!!!
Review Source:Well okay. I......HUH. Oh heck it was bad. I couldn't believe it. Lets just say right up front the music is to loud. I don't mean loud. I mean it was so loud that I could not hear the person sitting next to me. So loud the waitress couldn't even hear us as we were trying to give her our order. We went out to lunch and sense they are suppose to be good we wanted to try it out. My dad wanted to try their grilled catch of the day sandwich. The waitress swore he was saying grilled salmon....over and over with this cause of the music. Dad finally had to open the menu and point to what he wanted. She just said "Sorry i couldn't hear you for the music". LOL really we couldn't hear either. So dad asks her what the catch of the day was and she said Tilapia....?????TILAPIA!!!!!!!!!!! Really you are on the gulf coast with all the fresh fish it provides and you brought in Tilapia. Well that explains why it was dry. Frozen and not fresh. Me and my husband ordered the Cuban sandwiches with onion rings. Nice to know that you have to pay extra for the onion rings and that they may have come from tru value frozen food section of the nearest  walmart. If not......they should have.Mom was happy with her burger but her fries were limp and soggy and the burger didn't  seem to match the price you had to pay for it. So before the food started showing up i noticed that the plates that were placed on our table were all dirty and i don't mean small stuff i mean it looked like they had just been eaten on they were so dirty. Where are the guys who are suppose to check these dishes before they go to the table...... really.....really. We did get the volcano nachos and jeez i wish we had not done that. No hot gooey cheese, or crispy tortillia chips. It was a big pile of cemented chips and no meat with sour cream melted all over it. It was suppose to have some sort of chili bean sauce and such. We found nothing like that on ours. Plus, to our surprise my husband pulls out this big hunk of burnt i don't know what and i don't want to know. So hey maybe you should clean your fryers every so often huh???????? So that stopped the eating of those chips i can tell you. Look i have had better food off the dollar menu at the Mickey D's and cleaner too. I won't be back and when the ringing stops in my husbands ears i let him know too.  LOL
Review Source:Myself and some co-workers went here for lunch. The staff was friendly enough, and that's the only reason that it didn't get "1" star. I ordered the Swamp Platter($22.99). Described as Piled High with conch fritters, crawfish tails, and shrimp on a bed of fries. It came with 2 conch fritters, and about 6-10 tiny shrimp and crawfish tails. Hardly worth the $23. My co-worker got the coconut shrimp($15.99). Now if you have never been to this property or to the Biloxi area, it is a big shrimping town. In fact, there are two shrimp boats currently docked at the marina that Margaritaville sits on. The shrimp that came out were equivalent to the kind you would buy at Walmart.
The casino is a smoking casino and the restaurant is not seperate from the casino floor, so the smoke just wofts into the place.
All in all, I will not be going back to Margaritaville Cafe.
We were at the grand opening and had a very fun time. Love the way they have the restaurant set up with fishing boats as dining areas and a tiki hut bar. The outside area was very casual with lots of seating areas in the sand. Beautiful view of the bay and the bridge to the island. Music playing inside and out. Loved the drinks served in plastic blenders. Little difficult to find...not too many signs...it's hidden behind the Grand Casino.
