Maria's Smokehouse

One of the worst places I've ever eaten. Fish was not fresh and waiter was surly. would never go back

Most definetly a hole in the wall, but good to try atleast once! Our service was actually pretty good, very friendly and attentive! My husband and I knew it was a BYOB place, this was part of the allure of Marias. We brought in a cooler of PBRs and our waiter even asked if we needs extra ice for cooler! We both ordered the Fish Fry and dug in when it arrived fresh and hot at our table. Wow was the lightly battered fish delicious! Tartar sauce and homemade cilantro hot sauce was very very good . I loved the coleslaw and I don't normally care for it! We could only eat one plate of fish each, very filling. Left full, happy and satisfied ! One word of caution they charge $1.50 for a glass of icewater. $3 in tap water yikes.

I didn't go to the smokehouse but went to her new place just down the road. The food was the absolute best. My wife had the oysters Rockefeller and I had the all you can eat fish. Loved the hot sauce. Now be warned, I didn't think the service was anything to rave about but it was certainly standard for FMB (sorry Maria). For some reason the locals don't seem to like friendly tourists spending money in their local economy.....sorry I digressed. Anyway, know if you go you will not be disappointed.
