Max's Fanno Creek Brew Pub

We've tried here multiple times and forgiven the awful service one time too many.  Food is good, atmosphere and location and concept are great, but the service is simply terrible.  Tried to go here for mother's day since the kids also enjoy this place.  We sat at a table for 20 minutes and nobody acknowledged us, ended up leaving finally since there was no change in sight, and other tables had been sitting for very long times without being able to order food.  2 other tables did the same.  I understand chaos on a busy day; however the 2 folks I could pick out as servers didn't seem in a rush and there was no host or organization or clear management...it was the last time we'll go.  I wouldn't base our total opinion on this one busy day if it hadn't been extremely poor service in past visits as well when there was nobody in the pub.  It's too bad, this could be a great place for families to enjoy good food.  I hope they turn it around and at least get some FOH management or a host to let you know you are seen.

Have gone their twice and both times service was terrible, to the point where I had to stand up and hunt someone down to actually place our order. I'll never be back.

I'm knocking 2 stars off my previous review for one big reason....Crappy service.

We were driving by a few weeks ago and saw a sign about a burger special on Wednesdays. A week later, I found myself craving  a burger on a Wednesday, so I thought why not call and see what that's all about. The person who answered the phone seemed confused when I asked about the Wednesday special. I told him I saw a sign out front, something about a burger I had thought. His response was "Oh the burger special?". "Yes, that's it" I replied.........silence......."so what is the burger special?"....more silence....."it's a burger".

Really?

I thought maybe he was new and gave them a try anyway. For your information, the special is a hamburger for $1.50 on Wednesdays till 2:30 pm. It's an organic burger, on a nice bun and it's tasty for the price.

Since the burger was so cheap I decided on fries to share with the table, and I ordered a root beer. In the 30 minutes we were at the table I never got an offer for a drink refill. When I flagged the waiter down he refilled my glass....with diet coke. It was at that point that I was sure this was the same guy who had answered the phone. The real kicker though was when he dropped off our food, and I literally mean dropped off because he was gone before I could tell him that he gave us the wrong order. When he came flying out of the kitchen with our actual order, headed to another table, we had to wave him down. He didn't seem to care and swapped plates without saying much of anything.

Even with a tasty burger for $1.50 I'm not sure we will be back.
