This place is a gem. They have great food and great service. Everything I've ordered has been excellent, every time. I recommend the shish faoouk sandwich (pardon sp), it's an awesome baked chicken breast with a good healthy dose of turmeric (not spicy, it's mildly spiced and delicious), diced big into a pita, with fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and a nice tahini sauce. Also, the falafel, basterma, and kofta kabob are the best I've had in a restaurant. The lunch sandwich special will cost you $6.50 with tax, fries, and fountain drink. The owner is friendly, the chefs are great, and it's just right off route 57. I'm glad my wife saw this place when we were at guitar center next door! I plan to return for lunch frequently, and will continue to bring the family by on the occasional weekend.

Pretty good restaurant overall I go here once out of a week or a few times.  Pros. They open up at 6. Great for me an coworkers to get something when we get off. There falafel sandwich is very delicious just needs more sauce on it. Breakfast is good could have been better. Service is very good especially the cook in the back name Sami she is very good

I went to this restaurant with a friend who lives in the area.  She was very excited to have Egyptian food come to her neighborhood/suburb.  The menu is quite diverse and has something for everyone, so if you have a picky eater, the restaurant has a good number of standards to satisfy all palates.  If, however, you are interested in the Egyptian cuisine, I highly recommend the lamb - the marinade was out of this world; I had the entree plate which came with grilled veggies and rice.  My friend had the falafel; she thought it was ok.  There was a wonderful lentil soup that my friend had as an appetizer that was great.  The hummus was tasty as well.

The service was friendly and very accommodating.  Note for people with food allergies, be careful, there are some desserts that come packaged from Egypt and the staff (at least the night we were there) was not so knowledgeable about the ingredients.  I asked repeated if something had nuts, I was told no, but as soon as the "special" complimentary dessert came, I recognized it as baklava and knew it was off-limits.

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and hope they do enough business to stay open.  Check it out, they have very good hours and are open late!!!
