Went for the first time yesterday 12-27-12 after the snow and ice the day b4. Menu is big and it all seems good when ur starving. I had 2 gin and tonics that were pricey for the size of glass I was given. I had crab and spinach dip for appitizer and a salad bothwere good. For dinner I settled on a special, risotto with a petite new york strip steak sliced on top. It was real good lots of flavor. Im a steak and seafood kinda guy, real pickey on how a steak is cooked and flavor. Plan on returning.
Review Source:It was ok. My burger was overdone and did not taste the freshest. The fries were average but had a taste of old oil. The buffalo bits had a good sauce but were much tougher than I am used to. The beer prices were pretty good though and the TVs would be great to watch sports. Go for the beer and the game, but they need to train their cooks on how to change the fryer oil and how to cook a medium burger.
Review Source:We have gone to Midtown many times. We have a rehearsal not far from it and ear there beforehand. The food is excellent. We have tried many things but of course go back to our favorites quite often. Â The staff is always friendly and attentive. Â If you are interested in sports, there are 3 huge tv's in the dining room for you to watch. Â In the summer the deck is very plesant. I recommend midtown.
Review Source:To start of, this is place is not called Midtown Sundries, it is Midtown Sports Bar & Grill. Additionally, the website is <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.MidtownSportsBar.net&s=2b5ac0806613450a440a7b6bb3fdc66c1e1159903bdd3f9bc548f7db188cb024" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.MidtownSports…</a>. Hopefully Yelp will make the updates.
Now onto the review, I've stopped here a couple times while working at the Navy Reserve Center next door and tonight was the first time I went for dinner.
Every time I've gone the food has been good and the prices are very reasonable.
I started off with an order of Buffalo Wings. The wings are not standard so don't expect that. It seemed to me that they sauced the wings, grilled them and then sauced them again. The wings were a decent size and had a very interesting flavor. They we're very spicy, but they were good.
After my wings I grabbed a Hickory Jack Burger (surprising because I was at Louis' Lunch, the inventor of the hamburger, for lunch earlier in the day). The burger was a good size and flavorful. The fries were also very good.
The price was extremely reasonable. Burger, Wings & 3 Pints for $20.
So for good food at cheap prices I'll definitely be stopping at Midtown again when I'm in the area.
