Family went out for my father's birthday and my parents love this place.  I had a chicken sandwich.  It was pretty good but I wish that the piece of chicken would have been larger as it didn't really fill up the bun.  Service was decent without being amazing.  The menu has a variety of selections pub food pasta ribs seafood.  I wish they would have cut back in the number of directions they took the menu because while there is some variety each section if you will isn't really that big, and I usually struggle to figure out what I want to eat when going here

Not a bad place to relax and have a few beers.  The food is typical pub offerings. I would go again.

I have eaten here a few times. Primarily to get something to go. The burgers are good! They are prepared from ground sirloin.
Recently I ordered a half-rack of ribs to go.
They were not smoked however, they were seasoned well and tender.

The fries and cole slaw were not extraordinary, but good.

I liked this place. The menu was simple and straightforward. Plenty of choices. Good variety of brews to choose from. No smoking inside. Smoking outside in their patio area.

Staff is friendly and food was pretty good.

Kylie is always wonderful. Thanks. Steaks compare to Ray's around the corner, but at a better price.

Great drink deals and wonderful service! We split the chicken nachos...it was more than enough. The serving portion was HUGE!!! Prices are super affordable for what you get.

This is hands down a sports bar over a restaurant and one of the better ones in the area. Pretty expansive seating circling a center full bar. They've added 2 pool tables to the mix and have massive (50"+) tv's lining the entire perimeter of the facility and the bar as well. Large patio and they allow cigar smoking.

Miller's is packed out year round for all the various types of sports. Football, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, MMA, etc. all have very large draws and focus at Miller's. They certainly provide great viewing for the big events.

This location also stays open fairly late every night, so if you're looking for a post midnight place to hang they will certainly accommodate.

Servers here are very young, can be a bit inattentive, and the wooden booths / bar stools are a bit uncomfortable after a while, but to me this is a bar and not so much a sit down restaurant the other reviewers wrote it up as. As some others have said, if you're looking for a more traditional restaurant experience, look somewhere else.

Food here is pretty good for a sports bar and plenty of options from raw oysters to steak and all the typical wings and things in between. Definitely not pub quality, but lots of drink specials and trivia nights too.

They have free Wi-Fi and it has a fairly decent draw during the day M-F as well.

As a sports bar, I find this location better than your typical Taco Mac / Wild Wings places in the area.

$3.50 22 oz icehouse! I stopped in on a monday night to grab a few beers. I noticed the special 1 Pound Full Rack of Fall-off-the-Bone Baby Back Ribs Served with Cole Slaw & Fries for only $10.99! What a deal...:)

Not Bad! All in all, if you are looking for a place to grab some beers in a nice environment and some pretty decent food check out this location. The are always accommodating and willing to switch one of the many TV's feed of a late night west coast game when i stop in late.

Thanks Millers Ale House! Great beer and great deal on ribs!

My opinion on Miller's Ale House might be colored slightly by the fact that it's just down the street from my office, so more than a few work functions and informal get-togethers with colleagues have ended up here.

Frankly I find this place depressing.  Some of my colleagues like it because the drinks are cheap, but it has absolutely zero ambiance.  It's just sort of a large, bare-walled bar that serves inexpensive booze.  If that's what you're looking for then Miller's likely won't disappoint.  It would be a good place to go get hammered on Bud Lights if you didn't want any distractions.

I don't recommend eating at this establishment.  The menu consists of typical greasy bar food, reheated or deep fried slop.  There have been a couple of times I've tried choking down their "zingers" or "loaded fries" in a fit of desperation, and it's always ended badly.

The staff is generally ambivalent.  They tend to be cordial but there's no sense of urgency so you'll wait around a good bit for your drink order.

If I had my druthers I'd stop in any of the neighboring restaurants before returning to Miller's.  But then, it's never really my choice and I always end up back here at least once a month or so.

That being said... another Bud Light please.  You know.  Whenever you get around to it.

When I come to town to visit with my brother and his family, I always want to carve out time to visit my oldest friend.  This visit, we decided to meet halfway between where the two families live and chose Miller's Ale House, a place neither of us have ever been to.  I had already checked out the online menu and immediately set my sights on the fish tacos.  I'm always excited to find good fish tacos, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get any on this trip.

When I got to the restaurant, I decided to check out the menu one more time just in case something else caught my eye.  I was actually in the mood for pasta, but none of them really struck me.  Be forewarned that this place is very heavy on the seafood in everything from the pasta to the sandwiches.  (Only two of the pasta dishes didn't have seafood in them.)

I started off with a raspberry mojito which was good.  I decided to go with my first instinct, the fish tacos, which were listed to come with rice and black beans.  I didn't even think to confirm this fact.  When my tacos came out (finally...our food was running kinda slow) they were served with fries.  Whatever, I thought, I'll just go ahead and eat the fries.  I was disappointed to see just how few fries there really were, though.  My friend's 7-year-old daughter had more fries with her mac & cheese than I did!  Oh well, I didn't need the extra fries anyway, right? Then came the tacos.  I can't say they were bad, but they weren't what I was expecting them to be.  I probably would have liked them better if they didn't have the odd chipotle-cilantro sauce on them.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE spicy food!  If I see the word "chipotle", I'm all over it.  But this sauce was thick and awkward and not the least bit spicy.  I was almost convinced it was actually barbeque sauce.

The one saving grace was the dessert.  I got the chocolate pounder cake to go.  It's a very large slice and I only ate half of it that night (and saved the rest for the next night).  I'm a serious chocoholic and this cake really hit the spot! It was moist and delicious.  But even the cake came out incredibly slowly (we thought maybe our waiter was making a whole new cake!) and then we still had to ask for the check after our waiter brought it out.

Miller's Ale House isn't a place I would readily go to again or suggest to anyone else.  Yes, the mojito and the cake were really good, but you can get mojitos and cake just about anywhere.  The drink and dessert shouldn't be the only redeeming quality about your entire meal.

This would be a 2 star review if it weren't for one mitigating factor: convenience. First, the bad: the seating is uncomfortable and crowded. The service has frequently been slow and extremely slow. This is for both the kitchen and the wait staff who take forever to bring a refill and do not check on their tables in a timely manner. Nor is their attitude cheerful or helpful, but more of a tolerance of your existence and doing just enough to prevent your anger.

The food is decent and there are some hits and misses, like french fries being crispy on one visit and limp heat-lamp victims the next. But overall the quality is decent and the price is quite good which makes for a good value. On rare occasions you'll get an exceptional waitress who is very service conscious.  And the best feature is the hours that they keep, and the location is convenient for a meal after 9PM on a weekday.  Although I'm not a sports fan, there are many TV's scattered about with a good variety of programs. The music is also noticeably enjoyable. They have a decent sized covered patio, which the cigar smokers will find handy. As a non-smoker, I try to avoid it but it's often the only decent option for a group. It's also better for conversation as the interior's hard surfaces make talking difficult.  So in all, the pros outweigh the cons to make this an OK place.

Went here on a date.  I didn't eat - kept it strictly liquid.  Decent beer selection and drink specials aren't bad at all.  If I drank shitty beer like Miller Lite, it'd totally work for me though.   Waitress was very attentive though and never let my beer glass go empty for very long.  Prices aren't bad.

The food is pretty good, I have to admit. I've tried the Zingers (which are just chicken fingers) the asian salad, and the burgers over the past month. Nothing really jumped out (actually, I didn't like the burger all that much but the other people at my table loved theirs so I'm assuming I was an exception)

The place is really loud though - don't go here hoping for a conversation. They also don't have movable tables, so any party with more than 6 people is out of luck.

Like I said earlier, the food tasted good but really it's overpriced. They basically just serve bar food with a couple of 'normal' entrees, but the prices are jacked up.

They do have good drink specials, which offsets the high food prices, and a decent selection of beers on tap.

Service is mixed. The servers are always friendly and have a smile on their face - but they like to disappear also. Getting your drink refilled can be a bit difficult, which is really odd for a bar.

Not a bad place to watch the game or throw back some beers, but that's about it.

This spot is an after-work favorite for our office, partially because of the proximity and partially because of the week night drink specials and some great bartenders (particularly who have been pillars of the place for a long time).   From the floor staff perspective, they seem to have lost most of the quality servers and have replaced them with lesser talent.

The food is hit or miss - some nights it can be pretty good (for the price and given it is not a high-end establishment), while others it can be very disappointing to the point of sending it back.  I attribute much of it to a relatively high rate of turnover within the past year, especially with regard to management.

The patio is definitely a plus, as well as the number of TVs (although you can find better sports bars elsewhere, that is obviously not the primary purpose of the establishment).

There is a good crowd of regulars typically seated around a large 3-sided bar most evenings, and it does help contribute to the atmosphere in a very Cheers-esque fashion.

Bottom line, if you're looking for upscale, fresh seafood, or a romantic evening - this is not it.  If you're looking to kick-back with some reasonably priced drinks and some decent food in a casual, friendly atmosphere (after work or for games on the weekend) it's worth checking out and deciding for yourself.

I had not been here for over 3 1/2 years and a gift certificate I received as a present was the ONLY thing that ever got me in here again after my last time there during the last Presidential Debates!
I have given them another star. Honestly, I love the food I have now had on the numerous trips back after a couple months ago. But service there is still "iffy". Sometimes good and sometimes not so good. They have a great Philly Cheese and Seafood Mac N' Cheese. I look forward to trying their ribs and Shrimp scampi.
I mostly use this as my UFC pay-per-view hangout now as Champps has closed and I quickly got tired of Buffalo Wild Wings on the other side of 400.

You know, when I first started going to Miller's a few years ago...the food was ok and it was an ok place. But it seems in the last year the quality of the food has gone down immensely to the point I do not enjoy going there for a nice pub/bar meal. The last few times I went there I ordered the blackened salmon and mashed potatoes, the last time I had it, it was quite bad. The fish was very fishy and smelled poor and the mashed potatoes tasted metallic-y with a cold, salty gravy. I thought maybe I was just choosing the wrong dish, so the last time I went there I decided to get a sandwich. Sadly I was disappointed again and the food was not very good. I tend not to be a picky eater, I like most foods but after several disappointing meals that I was unable to finish I have decided to forgo Millers and check out some other restaurants in the metro Atlanta area.

It seems they have a good beer/cocktails selection, so I guess that is good. But try not to go here for the food. It will most likely disappoint you.

We went to Miller's because we heard that they had a decent beer selections and that they had affordable, good food.  While I think that both of those things are at least partially true, I can't way that eating at Miller's was a good experience.

For starters, we were seated on the patio and then promptly forgotten.  After waiting almost 15 minutes, we went back up to the hostess to ask for someone to come take our drink order.  About 10 minutes later a super lovely, polite woman came to take our drink order--she wasn't our waitress, though.  She did help correct the fact that we had been waiting nearly an hour without menus.  After waiting on our drinks for 10 minutes they finally arrived, and 10 minutes later, our food order was taken.  The waitress was exceptionally snarky in letting us know that they didn't accept substitutions on sides, and told numerous people at our table that she wouldn't bring them drinks when they asked for them.  Now, I understand that she was being sarcastic about the drinks--but her tone (after having been exceptionally inattentive for almost an hour) was unappreciated.

It took almost 40 minutes for our food to arrive.  When it finally did, the person who ordered the "35 shrimp" only received 28 and the seafood mac and cheese was lukewarm.  We didn't have silverware.  We ate our food quietly and made sure that as soon as we could find our waitress, we got the bill--we didn't even let her leave us with them, we handed her the cards so we could get out of there as quickly as possible.

This was absolutely one of the least pleasurable dining experiences I've ever had--and with a ton of really fantastic food at restaurants with really great customer service in this city, I can't say I recommend going to Miller's Ale House.

A long and painful train-wreck of a work emergency led to me wanting some form of dinner after midnight.  The locals I worked with suggested Waffle House or something similar, which I just wasn't in the mood for.  Hats off to Yelp's iPhone app (and the Open Now filter) for finding this little gem for me, and I quickly called to learn that the kitchen was open until 1:30AM.  NICE!

I walk in, take a seat at the bar, and just stop and stare.  People smoking in a bar isn't something I'm used to seeing in NY, Chicago, LA, etc...and while I've technically quit smoking, that night was enough of a cluster.... to make me really really want one.  Stephen - bartender extraordinaire - walks up, smiles as I explain my confusion and regrets not having any cigs for sale in the bar, and then promptly offers me one of his, while explaining that it becomes okay after 11, as long as no kids are in the bar.

Things only get better from here.  I almost never find Fat Tire Ale east of...say...Chicago.  Yeap - it's on tap here, and in a 20oz Big Fat Tire version.  The British Burger - with swiss and bacon burned to the perfect crisp without even needing to ask for it - was extraordinary.

Last, and most importantly - the people I met here made my night.  Wednesday night, after midnight, I wasn't expecting people I sat down next to at a bar to be open to conversation and engaging a complete stranger, much less buying each other shots and allowing me to mooch smokes.

So - in sum -  Stephen is the man to see for a drink at Miller's Ale House.  He is backed up by a really good kitchen, and for when you're not hungry, a great beer and liquor selection.  You may find really cool and friendly people to hang out with at the bar.  Easy and plentiful parking is to be had. I just don't see any downside here.  Have a go!

Unless they have fixed it it was the smokiest bar pretending to be a restaurant  I've ever been to in my life .  Obvious owners are militant non smokers.  If lighting up in the mist important consideration pick Millers.

Did I mention it was horrifically smokey?

Millers has the feel of a bar that you can relax in jeans and a t shirt and shoot pool and drink beer. However most of the people I saw here were in ties and sport coats.  So Im guessing this is the happening spot to be after work. The crowd is also much older then I expected.

The food was ok at best, its a bar and I dont expect much coming from bars anymore honestly. I had the zingers, which are like boneless buffalo wings, not bad, not heavily breaded which was good. The ranch was alittle thin and runny for my liking though, but I know most people like it this way so point to them.

Nothing much else to say here.

We'd settled on going to Pappadeaux after disagreeing about every other place under the sun, but as we drove back that way he spotted Miller's Ale House and commented about how he'd like to try it sometime.  I'm fairly certain he didn't think I'd be down for bar food after I'd scolded him for suggesting a chain (blasphemy!), but boy was he wrong.  I'm always down to try pretty much any place I haven't been before and the parking lot was packed, indicating to me that it couldn't be a totally bad idea.

Most times I'd consult yelp before going in, but last night I was pissy and tired from a long day of conference calls and other bullshit that I didn't even care.  I was ready to put Wednesday behind us, relax, have a drink and get back home.

Our server Carmen was awesome.  She was there every time we needed her, but gave us the space we needed to talk about our days.  There was no pressure to hurry and order and the drinks came right when they needed to.  The boy ordered some fried seafood combo or something and the way he devoured it I'm guessing it was decent.  I wasn't in love with the French onion soup, but I hadn't expected it to be mind-blowing or anything.  I was at a bar.  It was certainly good enough.

Main thing I noticed - this place was suuuper cheap.  Food and drinks.  Couple that with the awesome service and I could totally see myself going back.

I didn't mean to come here but after waiting an eternity at another restaurant up the road, I left there and ended up coming to Miller's Ale House. I've never been here before. The first thing I noticed was that the parking lot was packed. They probably had four times the patrons as Pappadeaux's.

The next thing I noticed is that it's a relatively blue collar crowd. The two pool tables hint at a late night sports pub. The bartendress had me hooked up in a minute. I ordered the 12 oz Prime Rib for $10.95. It came out perfectly cooked in about 10 minutes. It comes with your choice of a side item(mashed potatoes for me) and coleslaw. If you want beer, they have a very large selection. If you want cheep beer you will have to chose the Miller Brand beers.

The lunch specials looked like good values too. I plan to try their lunch.

The staff was very attentive, super friendly. Very on the ball. Maybe I would normally give this a 3.5 star review. But I gave it a little extra because they saved my evening from a horrible start at Pappadeaux's.

Oh and don't worry about those grumpy reviews by people on GF Diets. :D

Miller's Ale House is our place to go for Team Trivia on Tuesday's!  This place has a good crowd- usually 10-15 teams, and the questions are on par.  The announcer, George, is very thorough and serious about his trivia.  He makes sure no one is cheating, and is very fair with the scoring.  Trivia starts at 8pm and usually goes till 10pm or so.  It's always a good time.

On to Millers itself.  They have tasty bar food, and crazy drink specials.  They always have someone on special and it's usually very cheap.  Some of their pitchers are only $6 which is crazy to me (since in NYC you can't get a pitcher under $15 for the crappiest beer!).  The service is usually pretty fast, and the food comes out pretty quickly as well.  There are tons of high top tables and booths, so there is always somewhere to sit.

There is a patio outside for smoking, so smoking is not allowed inside which is a benefit for sure.  The parking lot is large too, so there is always somewhere to park.

I *think* it's a florida bar, so on Saturdays it's probably packed with a bunch of douchebags, but I am not sure because I have never been to Millers during that time....I would caution you of that though...

So, I came here last night, and I was surprised. It was my first time here and I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't that! I loved the atmosphere, very nice. Everyone was having fun and the place was really busy.

Service was great, our server was very attentive. At one point she dropped a glass on our table and it shattered. I'm a bartender, so I know it happens. Within seconds there were people cleaning up the table and making sure we were ok. They brought us all new drinks and sat us at another high top.

The food was excellent. We shared the fried clams, smoked fish dip, and the seafood, lobster and clam bake. It was all delicious! The only downside was the shrimp in the clam bake were not good at all. They weren't the high light anyway. The rest was delish. When we first saw the smoked fish dip we were unsure, but one try and we were hooked! It was yummy!

All in all, it was an awesome experience. The drink prices can't be beat! I will be back here for sure!

    - $5 Skyy vodka martinis, you can't afford NOT to drink.
    - steamed clams in the city are a rarity, nice to get my fix here.
    - $15 for twin lobster tails?  Sure they were probably frozen, but it gave my kid a chance to try them for the first time.
    - the only downside was that the boil pot dinner had undercooked clams, some were unopened.  Still, it had the lobster, shrimp, mussels, and all the good stuff at a decent price that it was forgivable, especially after 3 of the aforementioned martinis.

This is my go to place for happy hour.  Great drink specials (unless you're super picky) and decent food.  Service is usually very good and there are lots of places to sit.  My top food choices are:

    1.  35 fried shrimp...yummy friedness!
    2.  Seafood quesadilla...cheesy goodness.
    3.  Potstickers...I always feel like this is my "healthy choice"
    4.  LOADED FRIES...have you ever seen a group of 5 girls devour a mountain of gooey fried potatoes in under 5 minutes...priceless!

These are in no particular order, just some of my favorite choices.  And, no, I don't eat them all in on visit.  Just one or two for the table.

I would say the biggest drawback is that 1) if there are children they are usually running all over and 2) smoking after 10.

See you there any given Friday!

I go to Miller's for the UFC fight  nights.  I like their TV layout, and you've got a good view from most anywhere in the place.
We usually start out with the boneless wings ("zingers") with sweet thai chili sauce.  Normally have to ask for extra sauce because they skimp a bit on that, but they taste great otherwise.  I'm also a fan of their fried clam platter.  Yaknow. Just simple good bar food.
The drink specials are great, in fact it is the reason we choose to go here for UFC nights.
Service has always been fine for us!  All in all, Miller's Ale House doesn't stand above the rest of the suburban bar hangouts, but it is a fine choice if that's what you are looking for.

When I travel on business it is rare that I would go to the same place twice on consecutive trips, but I went to this place twice on the same trip so hopefully it helps clarify how cool this place is.  My company likes to hang out here sometimes, but that's not the reason why I went back a second time.

If I lived around here I would weight about 4000 pounds eating here, the food is good and the portions are generous.  I had the steak, chicken wings, nachos and seafood platter (sharing of course with my colleagues).

I love heat that is more than a salty taste, the hot wings are hot and very flavorful, a must for anyone who likes a little heat with their meal.  The steak is good for a place that does not call itself a steak house.  The seafood combo platter was fried, but was lite in nature which did not make my arteries harden when I ate the plate.  The nachos are great and filling and the toppings are plentiful from first bite to last.

Also this place has plenty of beer on tap, the staff is friendly, and also for the trivia buffs there is a trivia contest at least every week.

I've eaten here about 100 times in several locations. Normally crowded, decent food, good drink specials ($2.00 Fosters), and marginally clean tables.
Still it is open late and centrally located which fits the bill most of the time.

I have been here around 10 times, so this is a pretty fair review.
Like others have mentioned on this review page, don't expect more than what it is.
It's called the MILLER Ale House for a reason.
Drink Miller when you get here. They have great prices on other drinks as well, such as Captain Morgan drinks, but drink the cheap miller. I know I sure do when I visit.
They have some pretty decent food deals as well.
The appetizer sampler feeds a buck and costs little.
They have all you can eat crab legs one day during the week, I'm thinking Wednesday, but call to make sure.
I will go back. I think I am going this Saturday. I hope to see you there.

I love Ale House, most likely because they have great bar food and good beer at a reasonable price!

The HOT Zingers are great and their chinese salad is also good. The service is always on point, even during busy football game days! There's outdoor seating that is air conditioned. Plently of TV's to catch all of the game day experience and LOTS of parking.  This isn't an upscale place, so don't go with high hopes of la-te-dah food; it's bar food in a bar atmosphere- hence the term "ALE HOUSE".

Miller's Ale House gets 3 stars from me because it is a 3 star kind of place. My Toyota Camry isn't going to get a 5 star-fireworks review either, but that doesn't mean it doesn't serve a purpose (and it's a pretty sweet ride). I ate lunch here with a friend last week and had a fine experience. The place is a nice size, has a large bar, wasn't extremely crowded, and the food was enjoyable.

They have an extensive menu and a lot of seafood for a "bar food" joint. I opted for the soup of the day, chanterelle mushroom, and the prime rib sandwich. My partner in crime opted for the same soup and a chicken salad sandwich. Let me first say that the mushroom soup should be the soup of the month. It was rich and full of flavor. My friend's chicken salad sandwich was average, but my prime rib sandwich was actually really good. I honestly expected it to be too rubbery to eat like a sandwich (which is why I usually steer clear), but I am glad I took the risk. It was tender, juicy, and it's tough to beat something that is served with a topping of onion rings.

One thing that bothered me at Miller's was the beer selection. If I walk into an "ale house," I expect to be bombarded with taps upon entering and it should take me half an hour to decide on a beer. The beer selection at Miller's is pretty standard, but the value more than makes up for it. They offer extensive lunch and dinner specials that make you look twice. I would be willing to say that Miller's is one of the best lunch values in Alpharetta and you should definitely check it out, despite a measly 3 star rating...

    Zinger? I hardly know her!

This review might be a bit premature. I came here for an early dinner on a Monday. I didn't have a lot of time to look at the menu and take in the entire place. So knowing that this was a signature item, I just ordered some zingers with hot wing sauce. They are more like chicken strips tossed in wing sauce, not really boneless wings. They were pretty good, but nothing to write home about. Slightly better than Taco Mac, but that's not saying a lot.

But like I said, I had to eat in a hurry. The menu has a lot on it, and is worth a few trips back. Their lunch menu looked to be a much better value.

Went on a Monday night with some friends who go there religiously for the all you can eat crab legs. It's a good deal for $20. I don't like to work for my food, so I opted for the shrimp and crab quesadilla. It was either going to be that or the cajun burger. I wish I went for the burger. It was a lot of not so good food.

Besides burgers and wings (they are known for their boneless wings they call Zingers) they do have some pasta dishes, steaks, a good seafood offering (including fish tacos) and even pork osso bucco.

The crowd was decent for a Monday night. I can see this place being really crowded on the weekend. It's just off the interstate very close to the mall.

Service was decent but our waitress could have been a bit more on the ball with checking back with us especially for drink orders. Speaking of beer, the best thing about this place is they have really good beers on draft. I'm talking Stella, Boddington's, Sweetwater 420, Sierra Nevada, etc, etc.

This place is just your average suburban bar - nothing more, nothing less.

The food is good bar food, more seafood than most bars, but nothing really special.  We used to go here on Fridays during lunch since my Catholic co-workers couldn't have meat.  The fish and chips special on Friday is a great value, even though it's heavy on the batter, and the fries aren't that crisp.

Now we go about once a month for happy hour because it's not smoky.  They've got a good selection on tap, and good drink specials.  Also, the place is well laid out, so there's lots of open space, and plenty of tvs if that's what you're looking for.

Your typical Alpharetta bar. Don't go expecting too much. For what they are and what they do, they do it well.

Our waiter was super friendly and got everything that we ordered correct. He stopped by our table, it seemed, almost every five minutes to make sure that we were good and if we needed anything. I split the chicken nachos with one other person. Yes, they're massive, but if you do get them, go for the extra $2 "layered" option. It gives you more cheese and more chicken and it's totally worth it. Other than that, the pomegranate margaritas were good - a little on the weak side and pretty small for $8. The crowd was lively and the music was awesome - '90s hits to the max!

    To me, comparable to Barnacles.

Eeh gods it's like they took Friday's and doubled it in size and then started brewing their own beer so people wouldn't peg them. This place is pretty large and mixes in the feel of a sports bar with a brewery restaurant: they have a bunch of booths and then the large bar and then another boothed section with bigger tables and video games and pool, then a small porch for the loud folks.

I always end up here with the loud folks.

Maybe that has something to do with why my service experience here has always been hellacious. The servers tend to come over when they're damn well ready and MIGHT get everyone's order right, if they feel like it. Mostly though, I've ended up neglected here.

Their homebrewed beer is all right, if you like that kind of thing. Definitely nothing to go out of your way for.

This place is more okay for large groups if you just need a place to gather. I wouldn't come here if you're looking for a good meal, or to watch a game: they don't have that many TVs.

The Ale House is a chain based in Florida. Many small and large Florida cities have an Ale House, named after the town... I have been to the Ocala Ale House many times.

This location is the first Ale House located outside of Florida. How fortunate for the north side to get one!

Most of the food is "bar food", but its a little better than your average bar food. I happen to really like their Zingers (boneless chicken strips with a large variety of sauces on offer) and their burgers. Their appetizers such as the nachos are served in very generous portions.

The Zingers are pretty much their signature "bar food" item. They are always tender and juicy and not overly breaded, unlike many places that serve chicken fingers that will break your teeth because the thick breading has been fried into concrete.

I really do like the food, but then I really like Taco Mac's food too, despite the poor reviews many Atlanta-area Yelpers have given them. I find the two restaurants to be similar in that they have very extensive menus for a bar. There's one entree in particular that stands out at the Ale House, and that's the Ossobucco. Pork shanks with the meat just falling off the bone. Its like tasting heaven.

The Ale House has more of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant one. The center of the room has a huge bar. One side has pool tables and there are several arcade machines in the back. There are TVs everywhere with sports playing on there. Lots of people are there to drink, eating being secondary.

It is, however, the best food you are going to get in Roswell or Alpharetta on a weeknight after 10 when everything else is closed.
