Used to go here several times a month and weekly in baseball season. After our last visit have pretty much crossed it off our list. While the food is still ok for what this place is the noise level is horrendous. Sat on the so called patio which is now enclosed, not only could we not hear the game but had to shout to hear each other. As a matter of fact my husband and our guests started yelling to see if anyone would notice; Â not one person turned around. So sorry to have to find other places to enjoy a game with food and drinks. Be forewarned.
Review Source:I was not expecting much after reading the reviews, but I liked Miller's Ale House. I had the Mahi fish tacos. They were served with beans and rice. They were a little like chain food, but not bad. They have lots of drink specials and a variety of craft beers. We went on a Wednesday night and although their were many cars in the lot, we got right in. When we left there was a line. It's hard to say why because there were plenty seats. I could not help but wonder what a Friday night would be like. Big crowds I'll bet. I would go again.
Review Source:Visited the Miller's Ale House for dinner this evening with my husband and teenage daughter. We were quickly seated and our server, TJ, Â promptly came to take our drink order. I ordered a margarita, which was average, and my husband ordered a mojito which he said was good. Our appetizer, guacamole and warm chips, Â was served within a few minutes. Then our meals arrived @ten minutes later. We were all satisfied with what we ordered- Baby back ribs; Southwest Bistro Steak Salad; Â and Buffalo Shrimp. TJ was an attentive waiter and checked in with us several times while we ate. We finished our meal with the Captain Jack's Buried Treasure dessert which was a slice of ice cream cake large enough for the three of us to share. Â It's fun, reasonably priced, and we usually have very good service. This was not our first visit here, and it won't be our last.
Review Source:We use to go to miller ale house on a regular basis but recently the service has dropped to a level that we will not go anymore. Â
This last time we waited a 20 minutes a before the waiter showed up at our table, he was rude throughout the meal, and then the waiter dumped a plate of food on my girlfriend and her daughter and we did not even get an apology from him. Â At the end we had to request the manager who seemed nonchalant about his waiter who actually was a trainer.
Needless to say we are sorry that things are falls king apart there since it use to be a good place to eat.
I cringe when people suggest we meet up at the Ale House.
Not only do I run the chance of bumping into people I haven't talked to in years on purpose -- the place is just grossly overrated in every way. And it feels like a mismosh of sad suburban frat-house crossed with suburbanites not knowing their town has so much more to offer their tastebuds!
You'll circle the parking lot for ages almost every night of the week to find a spot, the beer specials are always for mediocre offerings, and their food isn't offensive, but its absolutely nothing special -- you'd probably get a better bang for your buck buying frozen appetizers at Sam's Club and hosting your get-together yourself!
Their frozen drinks are either too weak or disproportionately mixed... and that's just sad when there are so many great BYOB's or other places to get that sport's bar feel. Â The waiters seem hit or miss. One time a server had to come back 3 different times after a fellow diner ordered a fish special -- after he sold her on it --- because they were out. He pitched more dishes. She ordered. They were out of it. What happens when he pitches her more fish? They are OUT of IT. What is wrong with this picture? How do you not check on what you've got to offer after you've failed twice to deliver?
Sandy's is just up the street - Why are you here and not there?! You'll spend so much less and get so much more!
Please, friends.
Stop asking me to Miller's.
I've given it plenty of chances, and it just doesn't cut it. Not by a long shot!
Please visit: Sandy's. The Hulmeville Inn. The Happy Hour Tavern. BYO it up at Mirim, Thai Chef Noodle Fusion, or Cancun!
The menu has a large variety of foods.
As a vegan I was able to put together a salad and baked tater to satisfy me. My husband enjoyed the blackened mahi mahi sandwich while my son head Kraft Mac & Â Cheese with fruit followed by ice cream.
Millers looked like it could be a great sports bar.
I was staying in Yardley for work training and was taken to this fine establishment for dinner one evening. The inside definitely looked like an East Coast style pub with the wooden tables, hooks to put your coats on and stools.
Since most of us were not from the area (or PA for that matter) the waitress recommended that we try the Yuengling Lager (PA based brewery) or the Dogfish IPA. Both were on tap. I wanted something less heavy (and hoppy apparently) so I went with the Yuengling. This beer was delicious! It had a nice bite but was also very refreshing. (It became my choice of drink for the rest of the week...)
Now onto the grub. For appetizers, I tried the buffalo wing style flavored shrimp - it had a nice spicy kick and was pretty tasty. I also tried the calamari but this was just ok, nothing special.
For my main entree, I tried the fish and chips. This was Claim Jumper sized! It had literally 8 pieces of fish and a mound of fries. I could barely finish half but the fish was pretty good. The batter was slightly soggy and could've been seasoned more but other than that, I enjoyed the dish.
Will return if I have to go to Yardley again for work!
Last Night was my 3rd time trying to get into this place. Â The first 2 times the place was so packed that it was over an hour wait. Â we got there around 6pm on a Saturday night, two people and we had to wait about 40 minutes. Â There were A LOT of people with small children, which is no wonder as the kiddies menu items were all 3.99! Â
The cocktails are also pretty cheap considering most alcohol in chain establishments are expensive, I had a bahama moma and although it was fine for me, the alcohol was definitely watered down.
The dinners were moderately priced, 20 oz porter house for under 20 bucks is good for me. Â Other than potato and veggie, every thing else is extra. Â
All together with appetizer, Dinner for two, drinks (non-alcohol) it was about 60 bucks including tip. Â
Not a bad place, the food was ok, service was ok. Â but be ready to wait no matter what time you go there for dinner. Â by the time we left at 8pm, it was an hour and a half wait.
The atmosphere is casual and wait was probably 15 minutes. If the wife had not loved her Long Island Ice Teas and if our server had not been so good, we would have demanded a free meal. The wait was ok, not unexpected. The appetizer was extremely disappointing. We ordered zinger tacos which arrived ice cold so we sent them back. 90 seconds later they brought the same plate back still cold. Not to mention we expected something with title of Zinger to have a bit of spice to it, but it was very bland tasting.
My babyback ribs were the worst I have ever tasted, didn't even eat half of them. The wife had the saddest looking portions of mahi mahi we ever saw. They were obviously the frozen type you microwave before serving, not fresh tasting at all. Suffice to say, neither of us finished our meals and if we had seen a manager at all, we would have let him know how poor the food was. We read a lot of reviews while waiting on our table, not sure how so many gave the place more than 3 stars. Must be the drinks, at least they didn't screw up the LIT's, but the martini's have a lot to be desired here too. We will never be back here!
Waited forever to get a table last night and the wait times always exceeded what we were originally told. They have great drink specials (or is it because I live in DC and have an unusually low standard for comparing drink prices?) and friend and I got a $10 margarita pitcher. However the pitcher was pretty small and only filled just two glasses.
There are daily food specials as well and Monday's is a full rack of baby back ribs. I recommend you share this meal with someone since it has a lot of food (albeit only for $10.99).
Overall a typical sports bar and probably a good place for guys to hang out while watching a game. A bit on the noisy side and space seems a little limited.
Pretty solid food. Generic sports bar with average sports bar food. Decent beer selection. Decent service. They have a nice outdoor seating area that is nice in the summer. Worth checking out, but just don't expect too much.
Update 5/3/2012
I tried their jambalaya a couple days ago. Crazy salty served with weak garlic bread and it was repeating on me for hours. Don't try. I had given this place 3 stars. This meal has caused me to drop it to 2 stars.
Pretty slim pickings around sesame place if ur looking to expand out of the realm of chain restaurants.  Found this place and I wouldn't consider it great, but decent and an improvement over the chains.  Went on a Tuesday night, which happened to be a "kids eat free"night which is nice if ur in town for sesame place.  Special of the night was prime rib which was good.  Very salty, but good.  Chicken  Nachos were awesome. My only complaint as an avid beer drinker is if ur going to call urself an ale house you should put some time and energy into your offerings and be proud of what u serve.  American light beers have no place here yet consume their menu and take up half their take out fridge?  They have a few good drafts, dogfish, victory, but all in all pretty rough selection.  How about featuring some of the great PA breweries?
Review Source:Do not waste  your money here! Every time i try to give this place another change, i get disappointed once again.  The food is okay, as long as you don't order anything that requires actual cooking ( more than dropping it in the frying oil).  The worst part about this place is the service, with rude hostesses, inattentive servers and inexperienced bar tenders.  My server began to argue with me when i told him that my drink order was incorrect.  after incorrectly making my drink two more times, i resorted to ordering the three ingredients for my drink separately so that i could make it myself.
Review Source:We're here on an almost monthly basis, and for the most part have had consistently tasty food. Â Sometimes the nightly special is disappointing, but the sandwiches and loaded fries are always top notch. Onion soup and clam chowder are recommended. Â Lobster bisque is good too. Â The mojitos are extremely refreshing! Â Large booths are comfy, atmosphere is somewhat noisy. Â Lots of tv's so you won't miss your favorite game.
Review Source:Tried this place for dinner because it was near the hotel where I'm taking the family to Sesame Place.
The booth they  gave us could have fit 8 adults so there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. The server Dawn, was very good and the food was also approved by all.
We started with the nachos as the other reviewers advised. Thanks for the tip!
My wife got a apple-walnut salad that she said was good. My son got the kids mac-n-cheese that he devoured. My 3 year old daughter ate some clam chowder and I Â had the cajun chicken pasta. The menu said the pasta came with an alfredo sauce (this sauce seemed thin and hardly creamy) but whatever they used was good anyway.
We were surprised at the low price of the drinks. We were shocked that the bill was only $51! And we got 2 rounds of drinks. Definitely  a place I'd like to meet my buddies at after work at home.
It's called the Alehouse for a reason. You may want to get drunk before trying to deal with the same crap I put up with here at lunchtime.
I've been here a couple times with a few of my friends for some cheap beers and a nice dinner. As far as drink prices go, I'm very pleased. As far as service goes... I feel like every time I come here I get some airhead waitress who doesn't know left from right and ends up confuses herself and us once the bill comes (once we had to actually break down the bill for our waitress, calculators and all, just to prove she charged us multiple times for drinks and our entrees.) I don't know, maybe I just have bad luck.
What motivated me to write this review today was the deplorable service my boyfriend and I experienced yesterday. Like I said, it wasn't the first time for me, but it was my boyfriends first time there. We were both looking forward to reasonably priced, good (if not, at least edible) food. When we first walked in, the hostess was nowhere to be found. We waited a few minutes, figuring she was seating someone else, until we saw her in the back chatting with a coworker. She finally noticed we were waiting and seated us fairly quickly.
The waitress came over a couple minutes later and we got our sodas fairly quickly as well.  It was still slightly early so neither of us were drinking yet. I soon regretted this decision as our waitress took another 20 minutes just to take our order. The whole time we watched her tend to the two-top tables on either side of us just fine. It would have been an ok wait if I was busy getting drunk, but  unlike most of the crowd there, I don't start drinking before 3. Our appetizers came out a little while later and were great, but we were thankful they served us big portions because once our entrees came we realized the mistake we made.
My boyfriend's sandwich (The Big Red, I think it was) was barely edible. It was supposed to be akin to a spicy chicken sandwich, but whoever made it doused it in this thick vinegary tomato sauce. There was so much he could barely even taste the chicken underneath the whole mess. As for mine, I ordered 35 fried shrimp, which was supposed to come with hush puppies and a side. The shrimp were hard, cold, and so deeply battered I couldn't even taste the shrimp. There were TWO hush puppies lost somewhere in my pile of "shrimp", as if by accident. My side of vegetables were limp and cold but I could have at least expected that.
Even though it was shitty, we both thought perhaps we could salvage this meal later at home, so we asked for two boxes AND the check. It took our waitress another 20 minutes just to grab us boxes. We had to ask her a second time to get us our check, but not before her asking us whether we wanted dessert. Yeah RIGHT!
Anyway, I'll probably go back, but only if I'm certain I can be drunk enough to eat the crappy food and deal with the horrible service.
My wife and I eat dinner here regularly, particularly during sporting events and UFC fights. The food is top notch pub food. Certainly if you are looking for gourmet, this is probably not the place. But if you want a great atmosphere, good food, a lot of TVs, great beer selection -- then is is the perfect place to spend the evening. Finally, Captain Jack's Buried Treasure is one of my all time favorite deserts.
Review Source:I eat here regularly for lunch and I recommend it. It's got the usual suspects with bar fare but I think the food is better than most. Â I usually get decent service also. We have gotten to know some of the wait staff and they treat us pretty well. My friend loves their french onion soup which is probably why we end up here for lunch a lot. I do like the atmosphere with all the sports tv's and the high top tables.
I am going to get their philly cheesesteak next time I go though since it was highly recommended by another yelp reviewer here. Maybe I will end up there today.
I was there on Monday and got a full rack of baby back ribs for $11. That's a pretty good deal and they were very good.
This is a fun place to go for some casual dining. I don't live near where I work so I have never had dinner here. My comments are strictly about the lunch experience.
Miller's Ale House is my go-to place when we don't have anywhere else to go, or if we want to go to a place to just hang out and drink cheap. When you get Yuengling drafts for $2 all day every day? That equals a win. During the week, after 10pm they have really good deals on food. $5 food, and an array of drink specials. I'm usually there at least once a week. This restaurant is the longest standing restaurant in this location, and I hope it doesn't leave any time soon. It's a good place for people to meet new friends or hang out with old.
Review Source:Whet here with the family after going to Sesame Place and was more than happy with the food and service. Found the food to be better than the near by TGI Fridays and Ruby Tuesdays.
The food is typical for a bar, burgers and fried stuff. We rocked the chips & salsa (includes cheese salsa), burger and salad. I wouldn't suggest the salad but the burger and chips were good comfort food.
We didn't have any problems with the service like the other reviewers mentioned. Although it wasn't very busy at 4:30 when we went.
I really, really want to like this place. There are not many places like it in the Lower Bucks area. Great beer selection, excellent specials on food & drink, spacious, lots of tvs for watching sports, outdoor seating. The food is well priced and a good selection, but not very tasty. The apps aren't bad and pair well with beer, making a nice place to just chill with some friends and watch a game - BUT...
the service is downright awful. I've been here about 5 or 6 times, each one the same. Takes 15 minutes before someone even comes to take a drink order. They'll bring the drinks 10 minutes later, disappear, and then you have to hunt them down to put your food order in. Once the food comes, forget about it. You won't see your server until you have to hunt them down for the check. Generally you'll find your server across the restaurant flirting with someone of the opposite sex. For the most part they are nice, albeit a little flaky. however, during one occasion I went with my boyfriend and his dad for a drink and some oysters on a nice, warm night. Our server was a snotty little b*tch, to say the least. After looking us in the eye about 4 different times and serving all the tables around us, she STILL never came to take our drink order. We finally got up and asked her to come to our table. My boyfriend ordered the oysters and made the mistake of asking her where they were from. She looked puzzled and could not comprehend the question, so he repeated it, nicely. She spouted off, "don't talk to me like that!" After that she refused to come to our table unless summoned. She slammed the check on the table, ran our card and slammed that on the table as well, and refused to even look at us. Extremely inappropriate. We are not the kind of people who EVER talk to managers about service, but this time we did. My boyfriend is even in the restaurant business and understands the stress of it all, but there was no excuse for her behavior. Sadly, we probably won't go back unless we just sit at the bar for a few beers...all Miller's is really good for, honestly.
the perfect choice for a Bar-Food type Atmosphere meal without all the fuss or gimmickry associated with some restaurants. Â The food is good if your looking for pick food. Â The focus is a sports-bar type atmosphere.
Millers  (Aka "Miller's Langhorne Ale House and Raw Bar"  which is just a mouth full)  is just a good time at a great price to hang out with the gang.
Good parking is the strip mall next to if you're going after hours.
As a local, I've visited Miller's Ale House frequently with friends and coworkers when there's a big sporting event. Â Go Eagles! If the beer/drink specials, big screen TV's and bar food was may main goal of visiting, they'd probably get 4 stars. Â Unfortunately, there's also sit down dining...
I've eaten here three times and chalked up my first two below-average visits to the restaurant being busy or understaffed. Â Sadly, they appear to be always understaffed and the quality of the food and preparation is below average.
My most recent (and last) sit-down visit was on St. Patrick's Day. Â I was excited to see Irish specials such as corned beef ruebens, corned beef and cabbage, and Irish stew. Â The Guinness ($4.95) was also flowing, which is a wonderful thing. Â
Within 10 minutes, my party was seated. Â So far so good. Â We ordered the Zingers (boneless buffalo chicken) and the spinich dip with chips. Â This is a very safe start since it's essentially bar food. Â Sadly, it took about 15 minutes for what should be prepared spinach dip and some tortilla chips. Â
My corned beef rueben (side of fries) arrived about 20 minutes later. Â Although tiny in size by NY deli standards, it looked delicious. Â Then I took a bite in to the fattiest corned beef I had ever eaten... or attempted to eat. Â I looked over at my eating companions' plate and saw that their corned beef and cabbage meal was lined with thick, white fat, which was probably what my baby Rueben contained as well. Â I spent the next few minutes, deconstructing my sandwich, in an attempt to carve off as much fat as possible. Â I'll spare you the details of what the little pile of blubber on my plate looked like.
The grand finale of this awesomely bad meal was the Irish coffee that I ordered. Â It came to me about 15 minutes after ordered in a clear coffee mug with no whipped cream on top. Â Seriously? Â It's St. Patrick's Day and you can't get a simple Irish coffee right? Â The waitress offered to bring out a cup of whipped cream on the side, but at that point, I was defeated and didn't want to wait another 15 minutes for that, too.
In summary, if you're going to Miller's to drink and watch the game on their many big screens, go for it. Â The two stars that I gave Miller's is for that alone. Â If you're looking for a quality sit-down meal with friends or family, I'd think twice. There are many, many reasonably priced establishments in a 1 mile radius that will do a far better job.
This place rocks. I frequented these bars in Florida many years ago. I was ecstatic when I learned they were coming to the philly area. 36 beers on taps, with specials daily. Good food and t.v.' s everywhere, making it a great sports bar. You can't go wrong. It does get very busy, so you might consider going at an off time.
Review Source:It is a shame, because they have the best and I do mean the best Philly Cheesesteak you will ever sink your teeth into! They slice a sirloin steak, thickly and then grill those babies. They add grilled onions and mushrooms and serve it all on a crusty garlic roll, with provolone melting all over it. The meat is tender, juicy and it actually has flavor. They have dubbed it "Miller's Steak Sandwich".
I'm taking this particular Miller's Ale House down a notch. I stand by my original statement, the Miller's Ale House & Raw Bar in Philly is far superior to this one! Why? Because the service here stinks!
If the ex-Philadelphian, who created Miller's Ale House were to read the reviews on this particular Ale House, he would be on the next plane out of Florida, where he resides and where the Miller's Ale House chain was started.
Last evening we experienced the worst restaurant service we have ever encountered! I am not going to mention Bill's name, so as not to embarrass him. First off, they were running specials galore for St. Patty's Day and I would have gladly had a Reuben, Irish Potato Skins or Corned Beef & Cabbage, had I known they were available! When did we find out about them? Well after our order was placed. Maybe instead of 50 TVs you should have more boards up to advertise your specials since servers are too lazy to care. I did luck out with my cheesesteak, but that is on the menu all the time and the Reuben and Irish Potato Skins are not.
For our appetizers, we ordered the Buffalo Shrimp tossed in a spicy garlic sauce, which comes with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side. They were excellent. We also had the Smoked Whitefish Dip with jalapenos, since we love it so much.
The place was dead, there were only 2 servers on and a bartender. The 2 servers were more interested in clowning around in the open kitchen window with the cooks, than they were in servicing their guests. The apps. took 20 minutes to come out. He never checked back from the time he took our order to the time he served our appetizers. Instead we got to witness hideous restaurant behavior with our food. Once the appetizers were served, we did not see him at our table until the entrees were presented.
In the meantime hubby's 20 ounce Porterhouse was on the grill. He ordered it rare to medium rare. He got it medium well and if it was 12 ounces, i would be surprised! The server stood right there and asked hubby to cut into his steak, which he did and the server said "oh, it is well done, what do you want me to do"? Â Hubby was very disappointed and said he would just eat it, since it took 20 minutes to get apps. and then at least another 20 to get our entrees. The waiter insisted on taking it back and guess who ate it! The server! I love open kitchens and it just makes one wonder. Five minutes later steak sushi came out. Hubby cut it and started to eat it and I said you can't eat that, it is raw! I then asked to speak to a manager.
Mind you an assistant manager was hanging around this open kitchen window the entire time. Instead Matt, the manager came over, who we had not seen prior to all of this. He was very compassionate and gave us a gift card, which we refused and then offered to pick up our check, which we refused as well. The manager insisted on taking the steak off and slipped a gift card in our take home bag.
My fries were raw and I do mean still frozen in the middle. I walked outside, just to get a breath of fresh air and to chill. When I came back in, I had a new basket of fries.
The food is good. The service stinks! Â Do go to the Miller's Philadelphia Ale House & Raw Bar, they care!
Dropped in to enjoy a brew or two and was sorely disappointed with the bartenders. I actually waited at the bar for a solid half hour (I'm being completely serious) without even eye contact from the bartenders before completely giving up on drinking altogether. While I did bum a few drinks off some friends (the entire place was packed with local 20 somethings late night) I can't say I was impressed with the Ale House, although I will commend them for a decent beer selection.
The whole inside of the restaurant was open and pretty much split down the middle with a large bar. The atmosphere was loud as it was very busy and full of tvs. Parking was also a problem, I had to park in a business next door just to get in the place. I'm not sure if this is just due to it being rather new or there being a lack of good bars in the area.
Can't speak for the food, but I can't give more than 2 stars with the type of service I got at the bar. It's Langhorne for the love of zeus, not LA!
Langhorne needed a place like Miller's Ale House. Â They're always open late and their kitchen closes at 1:30am! Â Their location is a bit craptastic though as it's pretty difficult to actually get there. Â You can see the place (big red neon sign) but the roads in that area right near the mall/Target are just absurd.
Once you're there however you'll be pleasantly surprised with tons of seating, TVs, and drinks. Â As the name states this is an ale house so don't expect restaurant-style atmosphere (read: do not bring your kids here). Â Do expect a GREAT place to come in and watch the game while having a few drinks with your friends.
My friends and I went over on opening night so I was a bit hesitant to try any of the food that might be difficult to cook. Â I figured new cooks might mean they're still not used to the menu items. Â But the bartender told me that the staff is quite good and to order anything. Â So I went for the Fish Tacos. Â They were awesome. Â They had a great spicy kick to them and arrived pretty quickly for it being so crowded. Â I was told next time to try the Zingers as an appetizer so I'll be sure to order them next time.
There aren't many places in the Langhorne area with a good beer selection. Â Hulmeville Inn and Isaac Newtons are the only ones I know of in the area that are worth visiting for the beer. Â Well you can add Miller's Ale House to the list! Â They have 35 taps and bottled beers too. Â They have tons of your usuals but they also have a good selection of local breweries and they do a great job on keeping seasonals on tap. Â
They also have some really great deals on beer, $2.95 Leinenkugels all day! Â I think the only "full price" beer I had was a Hooegarden. Â They also had a really cheap deal on pitchers of Miller Lite ($5) or $2 bottles all day.
If I still lived in the Levittown area this would be my new local sports bar. Â I'm out in Jamison now but when I'm back in the area I'll definitely be stopping into Miller's Ale House.
Technically this place is called Miller's Langhorne Ale House and Raw Bar. That's a mouthful! This new restaurant took the place of a recently closed restaurant. Langhorne Ale House is conveniently located next to Oxford Valley Mall. The location has had many restaurants before so I wonder if this one will last.
Parking is in the back and I was surprised by how fast it filled up. This ale house has outdoor seating which I love. Inside this place is a giant Philadelphia sports bar and fish restaurant. The Décor is filled with tons of flat screen TVs. It looks like this place raided the local Best Buy and hung up all their TVs on the walls. You will always have a great view of a game. The rest of the walls are filled with Philadelphia sports memorabilia. In the back looked like one or two pool tables and some games. The bar is very large and has very good beers on tap.
I managed to get a high top table by the bar for the Eagles Monday Night Football game. The staff I interacted with was very nice, friendly, and good looking. They did their job well and I had no complaints. Every employee was wearing an Eagles jersey for the game.
About half of the menu is seafood and fish oriented. My mates and I ordered some ales (it's called a bloody ale house) and some appetizers. By the time we drank our beers and shared about 5 appetizers, I was full. The deserts looked very good but I was full. I wanted to try the chicken and shrimp fajitas but was too full from all the apps. The calamari is good here. It was served with an interesting Asian teriyaki type sauce. It was different and good. Instead of being on the side, the sauce was drizzled over the calamari. The only thing I didn't like was the chicken nachos. They were terrible. The nachos were too greasy and salty. Plus, the nachos have most of the condiments served on the side.
I would recommend this place. The prices, service, and food was good. It's hard to find a good seafood place in the suburbs. The Mt. St. Helen's Zingers were good. Like Bahama Breeze and Cheeseburger in Paradise, this place serves a "special" house brew. I think it is called Fire House Red. It was tasty. I had my first raw oyster tonight!
Well another disappointing place to eat, I have tried this place 3 times food decent menu but sub par over all , service sucks-very slow, watch our server carry our drinks to two tables before getting them after 5 minutes of waiting.
The booths are big but beware no cushions sitting on wood, they apparently don't care for you to be seat comfy while you eat, guessing their theory is drunks don't care what they sit on as long as they are sitting, but food patrons have to endure sitting on wood yet the bar stools are cushioned.
Then you get to watch the young kids at the host stand BS'ing and crowding the door for real patrons, then as you are trying to enjoy your food, there goes the music as they crank it up to the point were you have to raise your voice and it was not even loud before hand.
Over all will not visit this place again, it seems if you are a young punk kid or enjoy a sports bar this is for you, but if you are looking for a good place to eat skip here.
Forgot the best part you get to endure smoke in your face as you walk in and walk out as they post ash trays so we all can enjoy the stench of smokers disgucting habits.
*****Update I have gone back a few times and food has been better not my favorite place, but have had a few really nice servers.
Still find it appauling to have to walk through smokers outside, why would you put ash trays outside so you get smoke going in and going out disgusting.
My favorite local restaurant is closed on Mondays so I decided to give this place a whirl as a meeting for me and a friend. Â We had an appetizer, a couple of drinks, and some seafood dishes. Â We were both very very pleased. Â Everything was yummy! Â The atmosphere was a bit too loud, but other than that, well worth stopping in once in a while.
Review Source:This restaurant is under the Miller's Ale House brand name, but they've renamed this particular location the Langhorne Ale House. Â It opened up in the past few months, and it's a great place to watch a game or have a couple beers with some friends.
I went here for lunch, and the first thing that stunned me was the number of plasma TVs on the walls. We asked hostess how many were in the store and she said 43, of which I was initially skeptical, but a brief look around will reveal the truth... they like sports here. Â There's not a bad seat in the house to catch the Phils or the Iggles.
The food was pretty standard fare, and very reasonably priced. Â I had their signature Zingers for an appetizer -- boneless Buffalo wings. The medium sauce had a nice kick to it - exactly what I would call "medium," though some tamer tongues may find it too spicy. Â Then I had the ribs for the main course. Â The meat was very tender, and the BBQ sauce was fine (though lacked any kind of heat, which I prefer for my rib sauce). Â The quality of meat was poor though - very fatty.
The service was just fine, with friendly wait staff and hostesses.
I highly recommend this as a place to watch a game over a few beers. Don't expect super excellent food, but overall a very satisfactory experience.
