Unlike most restaurants in Disney World where they require some sort of reservation to secure a seat, this place is just a walk-in and get your own comfy leather sofa or just sit at the high chairs in the small bar area kind of lounge.
The scotch is here is a bit pricey, since you are at the Grand Floridian and you get some pretty good front row seating of the regular Jazz band that plays throughout the evening.
The music does fit the atmosphere well especially with these higher priced drinks and does set the the tone for the evening.
The lounge doesn't explicitly state a dress code, but on my visit here, the majority of the patrons were in a dressy attire.
I am going to agree with most of the other folks that reviewed this lounge, the place definitely could use some updating, especially in this grandiose resort. The lounge is lack luster and just plain ordinary, truly lacking the lounge character it should have.
The service was friendly and prompt to start but the staff seemed to have no sense of urgency once ordered.
The beverage selection is a mix of white and red wines by the glass or bottle, basic selections of import and domestic bottled beers, and some average to high end bourbons, scotches, and cognacs.
They also offer a small appetizer menu, I didn't indulge so I can't express my opinion on the food but glancing around the room the plates looked inviting. You also get a small ramekin of "Deluxe" mixed nuts to nosh on while you enjoy your beverage.
Pretty pricey, then again would you expect any different from a Disney cocktail lounge.
I'm going against everyone else here. This is my favorite monorail lounge. Â I like that Mizner's is removed and not part of all the hustle and bustle from the lobby below. Â I find it to be a romantic with it being a bit dark and secluded.
We picked Mizner's Lounge to come enjoy a drink and listen to The Grand Floridian Orchestra Society. The lounge has a number of different seating configurations; we sat in group of leather chairs. Â The bar has about eight chairs and is a nice spot to watch the game on TV.
My biggest complaint with the lounge has more to do with Disney than the lounge itself. I remember a time when the hotels would have their own unique drink menu specific to that resort, nothing too elaborate but a handful of libations special to the theming of the resort. That has since changed and you will find a homogenous menu across all the resorts. Â You may get lucky and get a bartender who will whip up a drink from the past. Â Most people could care less, but I thought it was fun trying the drinks from each resort. It surely doesn't stop me from indulging.
If you're at the Magic Kingdom (which is dry) looking for a quiet place to grab a drink, hop on the boat to the Grand Floridian and belly up to the bar. Cheers!
