Monty's Submarine Sandwiches

Best sandwiches in Springfield!  We stopped here on our way home to Chicago. I had a Lighter Biter with broccoli and cheese soup and a heated Hamlit on sweet bread.  So good!  My son loved the Turkey Bacon Ranch on French, which he could not finish.  Hubby really enjoyed the El Italiano on French, especially the sweet Italian dressing.  My daughter had the Gobbler on sweet bread heated and she enjoyed it.  Staff very friendly.  Quick service and great prices.  69 cents for a bottle of water!  Will definitely return!

Decent sandwiches but don't be surprised when the guy in the beret asks "how can I be of disservice to you today?" or "how can I mess up your order today?". He thinks he's being cute and it's obviously an act but he just comes off like a jerk. The lady that works with him looks very tired and irritated from listening to him all day. Go across town to the other Monty's instead.
