Lions Cuisine

A new food service has opened at Lanphier High School.  Lions Cuisine is now serving the staff Gourmet Lunch every Third Thursday.  I missed the first lunch that was offered but I did participate in the April 19th luncheon.  Two words..........Yum.......Yum.  I had the Grilled Egg Plant Panini and a Side Salad with Italian House Dressing.  The panini was very nicely browned and the ingredients were crisp and fresh.  The seasoned mayo was nicely spiced but I could have used a tad bit more of it.  Delicious.  I didn't expect the extras in the side salad (cucumber, tomatoe, etc.), and the salad dressing had just enough tang to keep it interesting.  The grated cheese was a wonderful addition.  I wish I had a black peppercorn grater here at my desk!   Also of note was the service.  The students were wearing their Chef's attire and not only looked professional but presented the dishes with a refreshing, cheerful attitude.  It will be intriguing to see what new culinary delights this group of dedicated, talented and skillful students will come up with next!  I am looking forward to a review of the other dish that was offered, Blackened Chicken Alfredo.
