I'M DONE!!!!
honestly this was starting to become my favorite place to eat but each visit  i had to overlook customer service.  but the last visit finished it!!!!
1. Â ordered fajitas to share with my son, so we ordered two plates of rice & beans. Â why did one plate of rice & beans come out roughly 10 mins before the rest of the food?
2. Â the servers sees this "old" plate of rice and bean and does not offer to replace it when the food comes out.
3. Â food comes out burnt. Â ok with fajitas its a give or take because i understand that the skillet they bring the food out on is hot but i ordered sauce on my fajitas and it was burnt as well!!! Â it was crusty.
4. Â why are our drinks empty?
5. Â where is my waiter?
6. Â i ask for the manager........ Â she offers to remake the faijtas but i dont have time to wait. Â i need to get home and put my child to sleep. Â so she decides she will not charge me for the fajitas.
7. Â since i left my husband at home i also ordered him a plate to go. Â i decided to check his order because the last time i ordered to go my order was wrong! Â well i'll be damned its wrong AGAIN!!! Â now i have to wait for them to make what i ordered! Â my server now has the nerves to get a "tude" with me and was like "you ordered fajitas and i wrote down medium" and i'm like yeah i ordered fajitas and they are here burnt on the table, duh. Â had i known i would have to wait for them to remake my plate to go i would have told them from the get go to remake the fajitas. Â now i have been sitting at my table for roughly 1 hr and a half.
6. Â while im sitting on the patio waiting for my to go order some dudes start smoking. Â every server that had a table on the patio saw them smoking and no one said anything!!! Â am i the only person who saw the big no smoking sign on the door? Â another customer had to go in to the manager and complain.
7. Â the manager comes out and says your to go plate will be out shortly and at this time i think they should eat the ticket!!!!! Â but they refused!
The only think I don't like about this restaurant is the weird enormous statue of a woman with 6-pack abs, breast implants and little people arms holding up a bowl of fruit. Â Otherwise, the place is nice! Â Service and our food was good. Â The steak in my chimichanga had nice flavor and the avocado salad was fresh. Â My 4 year olds WANTED to eat the refried beans and yellow rice that came with their cheese quesadillas. Â The only negative I'll say about the food is that the chips could be better. Â Is it authentic Mexican food? Â I have no idea, but we liked it and the bill for a family of four was $38. Â When the Chili's opens up next store, we'll still come here.
Review Source:This is a fairly new place and the first thing I noticed when we were seated was the booth seating was already torn and the walls already had writing on them.
After review the menu, I decided on the steak fajita enchiladas with their house spicy sauce. Â Not a good choice at all. Â First, it looked like it might be the salsa they give you for their chips after it has been reduced of all its liquid so it is just a red paste with pepper seeds. Â Their salsa is a little on the hot side to begin with so when you reduce it and leave in all the seeds, it becomes inferno hot and very bitter. Â I got through half of the first enchilada before I had to stop because I lost all taste in my mouth and all I could taste was bitterness and heat. Â I ended up just breaking them apart and getting to the steak, which I ate with the very small portion of rice and beans that came with my plate.
As for the rest of my plate; the beans were bland the rice bland and somewhat crunchy and the garnish was a little on the brown side for my liking. Â I also have to mention the chips and salsa. Â The salsa was good, but hard to eat with all the warm broken crumbs that are provided as chips.
All in all this will probably be my last visit to Morelia Mexican Grill, I just have not had the greatest experiences with this place and it is pretty sad for a Mexican restaurant when the best thing on my plate was the refried beans. Â It is just sad because I was really looking forward to the opening of this place because we needed a good Mexican restaurant in Pflugerville. Â I guess I will have to wait for Chili's to open and continue to go to Taco Bell if this is going to be the competition.
I prefer the Parmer lane location over this location, however it's close to home so we frequent it more often. Â Ordered take-out fajitas once and was very disappointed. Â Meat lacked flavor and there was no set-up (lettuce, tomato, cheese). Â For the price of over $20 it was not worth it. Â They do not take reservations and often have an hour or more wait. Â I believe this is because there are very few restaurants in this area and it's fairly new so everybody wants to try it. Â At times, the dining room gets very smokey. Â Now on the good part: Â the pollo Cozumel is awesome! Â It's a tasy dish with a unique flavor and whoever thought up the idea of serving crawfish tails on a chicken breast is genious! Â The salsa is also pretty good! Â The staff are friendly which is a plus!
Review Source:I liked this place when it first opened... but now, having been back several times, I'm seeing the same pattern I've noticed with a lot of restaurants. Â They start out working as hard as they possibly can, then they get tired of all that hard work, so they gradually put less and less effort into it, until they find the bare minimum it takes to stay in business. Â Morelia has achieved that minimum.
Last night was about the last straw for me. Â It will be awhile before I visit again. Â The food is usually quite tasty... when you get it. Â The problem is the service - or more accurately, the POOR service.
The first indication of a problem was the "hostess." Â We came in the door and approached the hostess stand, to be met with a blank stare. Â Totally out to lunch. Â I said "hello." Â More blank stare. Â I expected to hear "Welcome to Morelia, how many in your party?" or something similar. Â Nothing. Â Blank stare. Â Once I'd waited long enough that it became awkward, I finally said "two" and the hostess replies "oh OK" and leads us off to a table by the bathrooms. Â Sigh.
The waitress - quite uncharacteristically, it turned out - showed up quickly and took our drink order. Â And then proceeded to try to rush us to order, coming back three times inside of about two minutes. Â What's the problem, there? Â You have somewhere else you need to be?
The real kicker though is, my girlfriend ordered a fajita salad. Â When it arrived, it was dry. Â No salad dressing. Â We manage to flag down the waitress and asked about dressing, and immediately got an defensive attitude. Â "It HAS dressing." Â "Umm, no it doesn't." Â "Yes it does, the guacamole is the dressing." Â Sigh. Â Guacamole isn't salad dressing. Â Upon asking if they had something else, the waitress declared "Well, I can bring you some ranch, but I'll have to charge you extra." Â And then took ten minutes to mosey back with the damn extra-cost dressing anyway.
REALLY? Â You bring out a dry salad, and when the diner is not happy with her meal, you charge extra to fix it? Â NO. Â Unacceptable. Â I expect that if I have to complain about something so insignificant as salad dressing, you'd be jumping through HOOPS to make me happy. Â
I hope the price of three tablespoons of ranch dressing was worth more to Morelia than our future patronage, because ultimately that's what it cost.
Breakfast food has always been really good here. Â Pflugerville lacks many good places to get breakfast and this place is a great option for it. The other food varies. The enchiladas are always good. I don't recommend anything with seafood. Â The service is always friendly and prompt and the management has been quick to fix the few problems we've had and make sure we were satisfied. The margaritas are really good and so are the chip and salsa. It's also very well decorated and comfortable.
Overall, if you live near Stone Hill town center, this is a good place to get a decent meal.
Impressive, for the most part anyway. Visually this place had me at the wrought iron doors. Beyond the entry way the murals that adorn the wall, massive statues, and spiral columns are quite captivating. However I'm not quite sure what happened with the wide, lumpy, male figure statues that are on each side of the bar. Not wide and lumpy like Buddha, but oddly lumped like a meat ball.
The service was fast and the server was friendly. The drink selection was of a decent size and they have a list of shot selections alongside the bar. The food menu is huge. I do wish they offered a bigger selection of fish other than tilapia but their variations leave you with a pleasant burden. The hot sauce and chips are average at best. If there's anything that takes away from the authentic Mexican feel, it's the music selection, which was pop and modern hip-hop. It's worth checking out at the very least, just be prepared to spend a little more than your average Mexican restaurant.
The food was great!! Unfortunately the lack of service really dampered our experience there this week.
We went at lunch and although it was not very busy, it took close to an hour for our food to come out. The manager came and apologized, but nothing was done about it. I ordered the Mole Chicken and it was amazing, unfortunately I had to wait another 15 minutes for my tortillas, so it was a bit cold when I finally got to enjoy it.
Others at my table got the stuffed avocado, and fajitas. Everyone LOVED their food. But then we had to wait another 30 minutes for the check after we were done eating. Eventually we grabbed a different waitress and asked for our check.
All in all, amazing food. But what should have been an easy, delicious lunch, ended up taking over 2 hours. Not acceptable.
Pretty decent place. The food was good not really great but overall we enjoyed it. The best part was waiting to see what the band would play next. You've not loved until you've heard Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire on harp. Very entertaining and the singer had a great voice. I'd recommend the tamale. It was yummy. Cheeses queso a bit too runny. Â And for goodness sakes don't drink the water. It's awful!
Review Source:The waitress accidentally spilled my tea on my lap and my phone. She apologized repeatedly and cleaned up the mess. We changed tables and waited. She came back over to tell me I should go home and put my phone in rice to dry it out. No manager came over. When the check came, my mom was buying so she looked for something to be comped on the bill. Nope. So I went looking for a manager. I explained what happened and told him I really didn't think I should pay for tea I was wearing. I also wanted him to be aware that my phone may be ruined. He took two teas off the bill ($5) and returned it to my mom. He also gave her a gift card. She put it in her purse and left. She assumed the card was for a free drink or something at the restaurant...no. It was a USED AmEx prepaid card. She thought it was odd but guessed maybe he had given her something of his own. There was NO MONEY on the card! Whaaaat? Was it just to get her out the door? Ridiculous. Â We won't be back to this location.
Review Source:So we were excited that this shopping center finally has a sit down place to eat and we tried it this past saturday after some shopping. we were seated right away even though it was pretty crowded, and the manager came right over and chatted with us for a bit. i appreciate that, i think that's really nice and good for business.
the good:
my chicken taco was really good.
big menu
the meh:
queso, chips and salsa were ok. nothing to write home about though.
fajitas, they have sauce you can get to go over, and it was ok but i found a hair in my food, never a good sign. the flavor was alright.
the bad:
the margaritas had a film or chunks of something floating around in it, it looked like puke. it didn't taste good either.
my husband and i both woke up at the same time in the night with bad stomach cramps, feeling sick.
we will probably try it just one more time to see if it was just an off night for them.
Morelia Mexican Grill says it all in its name when you want "More"...
I come here with my family after church on Sundays since they pretty much opened. In fact so much, that we can see the small changes each time as they get settled in.
Â
It is nice to see another good place open in Pflugerville that is an ease to get in and out of and is family friendly.
First, their menu is HUGE. I would not want to work their kitchen as a cook... keeping the ingredients straight must be a big challenge.
With that being said, the flavors are never off target and the food is always hot and ready when it comes to your table. I have NEVER had an incorrect order here and I appreciate that they serve breakfast at 11 in the morning still and the fact that they honor my young daughters request for some bacon and tortillas. (thanks, that makes a dads life very easy)
Also, many times places with huge menus will over reach with that large menu and the quality suffers over time... not here, they are staying on track.
Second, the wait staff and hostess are always there to answer your questions, replace napkins from kids, refill your drinks, or simply give you more chips.
That is a big plus for us on Sundays since it tends to be our "family day" out eating. We don't make a mess, but we do eat a lot of chips and empty our cups.. and they stay right on top of that.
Lastly, the prices are modestly good. The menu has a wide variety of things you could afford and want to go back and order more of.  I appreciate that.
Once again, there is always "More" at Morelia Mexican Grill.
We had a party in the private room at this location last weekend for 35. Overall a great experience. the video equipment worked well. Our waiter & waitress were attentive & Sylvia one of the managers was helpful with all my concerns that came up before the event. I would suggest if you book the room make sure you have a written contract, concerning the buffet & food served, before you pay for the party room, because they will not give you a refund, if you cancel & that will also prevent price, food  & tablecloth changes that I encountered. The buffet included soft drinks or tea.  However,  guests received the alcohol drinks they ordered (we had a cash bar) with no problem, but many did not receive the soft drinks or tea, that was to be included in the  meal. No shredded cheese was provided.  When I requested it, they brought some out, but not the kind of cheese that is usually served with fajitas.  No one was served water.  I asked for a glass of water several times & finally went out to the dining room & poured my own from the pitchers.  Seems that pitchers of water could have been placed on the table, before dinner, to solve that problem.
The food was excellent! Served hot, efficiently and with generous portions. Â
The disappointment was not being able to use the outside area to the party room (when I booked the room in January, it was under construction, but I was assured that all  would be completed by April.. Of course the outside patio was not completed).  The room is very nice, but I feel the lighting could be improved.  It is almost too dark & claustrophobic in the party room, unless the door to the outside is opened.  Once the private outside patio is done, this will be an excellent venue for a party.  However, a $50.00 charge for the room is steep, considering most places provide the room for free if you have a large party.
Telling more of the truth about food around Austin and any where I go. Â Been there 3 times so I have a good idea of what it is like.
Morelia is pretty darn good. Â The salsa's are good and the chips and queso is very good. Â The fajita steak was the best seasoned I've had in a while. Â The meals are more authentic here than say at Chuy's. Â There can be a bit of a wait during prime time. Â Thought it was a good place, even worked with a 4 and 5 year old. Â The margaritas were good as well. Â It's on my regular list which isn't easy to make.
When I was pregnant this is all I wanted. I ordered the cheese enchiladas with the charro beans. I still have cravings for it. Staff is hit or miss (which I was more willing to put up with when I was pregnant just not as much now) and sometimes the chips are too hard. But pretty happy with it.
Review Source:Fried Avocado. Need I say more. Okay well that's all I've ever ordered! I can't bring myself to try something else because it is THAT good! Chips and Salsa are always fresh. We have always gotten great service, but I've never been there for dinner. I hear it gets a little slow then. I had a Blue Margarita last time and it was pretty strong. I'm not complaining!
Review Source:I was asked to revisit Morelia's and did so on Friday for lunch.  This was a change as I only had visited in the evening previously.  We were greeted at the door and asked if we wanted to sit in the front or rear of the restaurant.  The hostess was friendly and we were seated promptly near the bar.  Our waiter was very good and service was spot on.  Another man (maybe a manager?) stopped by our table and asked if everything was ok.   The food was good.  I had water but the other two had tea.  Yikes $2.50 for tea?  Really?  Isn't that a little high?  I would have given another star had my daughter not  noticed a strange incident involving the man who stopped by our table.  He went behind the bar crouched down and poured something from a bottle into a glass and went into the kitchen area only to return w/o the glass a few moments later.
Review Source:I am low carbing it so eat more grilled chicken salads than I like to admit. Morelia's deluxe salad with chicken fajitas is the best salad value in Pflugerville. I have had other entrees and all were OK. Â My only real complaint is how LOUD the restaurant is. Hard to have a conversation.
Review Source:I think that most of the previous reviews are overly critical. We have been going to Morelia's in Round Rock and since this one opened in Pflugerville. They have had thier issues when they first opened but over all the staff is good. The Food is good and over all it id great foor for Pflugerville.
Review Source:This place is Gaucho Bad! Went their yesterday for a friends birthday party and received the worst service ever. It really made me appreciate TACO BELL. These folks never refilled my beer, served me fajitas with no tortillas or sides. The server was nice but had not a clue of how to serve. The manager came over and proceeded to tell us how they made 30k already that particular evening and that 95% of their customers were happy. Let me tell you from the 5% who werent happy, you guys need HELP! Yall need to call restaurant rescue. SO BAD....
Review Source:Pros: Good ambiance, decent prices, huge portions and good service.
Cons: Not real Mexican food, tex-mex that borderlines Taco Cabana, not so fresh fish, and average chips & salsa.
What's the point of huge portions if the food is just meh? Another one bites the dust. Stick to taquerias instead if you're looking for something authentic.
Must of went there on opening week.
Went back and had a totally different experience. There were "to go" containers EVERYWHERE. Like on every corner in the middle of the restaurant. Waitstaff didn't know the drinks or what was popular. It was smoky in the dining room.
Seafood fondue was still good but loud and messy made me not want to go back.
Well maybe for the fondue some day...
I read the reviews here before taking my friends here. Â My first visit was a surprise! Â Contrary to earlier reviews (it hasn't been open that long) our experience was great! Â I live in Hutto, and there had been two other places I'd go for Tex-Mex food. Â This surpasses them! Â During our first visit, we chatted with Marco, and he was friendly and upbeat. Â I told him about the reviews, and he was aware of them and appreciated that we'd decided to try anyway. Â We've dined there three times and tried some different menu items. Â I find the food fresh and well prepared. Â I have to say, I will go back, and I intend to bring some of my family there too.
I am not an employee or a shill. Â This has been my honest experience, and on more than one evening. Â We tend to dine a little earlier than most, so the place isn't crowded. Â The first evening we went there. it was later and crowded.
And the margaritas are great!
I ate at this place because I had heard good things from a couple people. I should have checked Yelp before I went here, because Yelp seldom lies.
People must be coming here for the booze, because it's certainly not for the food. The chips and salsa were fine; their green sauce was definitely the best one. My meal was extremely greasy (greasy, even for Tex-Mex standards!!) I will admit that their portions are pretty large in relation to the price, but it's still not really worth it. The decor is really misleading. I'll give it to them--it's a gorgeous establishment.
I see that their service has a low reputation among Yelpers, so I suppose I lucked out when I was there, because I'd give my experience one star, but I decided to up it to two because our server was so great.
Morelia's is practically across the street from our house, so we decided to give it a try for the first time last Friday evening.
I don't have any issue with the menu (LOTS of choices..almost too many things), the service (very attentive), the greeters (immediate seating even on a very busy night) or the food itself (I had seafood enchiladas and everything was very good including the fried ice cream dessert).
MY PROBLEM WITH THIS PLACE IS THE INCREDIBLY DEAFENING NOISE LEVELS!!!! OMG!! It was the absolutely LOUDEST restaurant I have ever been in my life. Hard to have any conversation at the table because of the noise. AND they had a live band to make it even louder. We noticed the noise when we came in and begged the greeter to put us somewhere quieter...but that was impossible. I will only go back to Morelia's if I can sit outside and the doors are closed. The noise ruined everything.
This is sort of a squirrely review because just the chips and salsa and ambient noise were enough to drive us out of the restaurant. Â Confronted with a seven page menu, I sort of had a bad feeling but the place was crowded and I went with the group mentality that so many people in one place meant it had to have some merit.
So we read and read and asked what the hell a chile con queso puff was (not even kidding, that was actually a thing) and finally ordered appetizers and meals. Â It took a while for the chips and salsa to come and it was horrible when they finally arrived. Â The chips were unsalted and very thick. Â Tostitos from the bag would have been better. Â
The red salsa was one of the most disgusting things I have ever tasted. Â It had a weird smell and a strange chocolatey back taste. Â It was like someone had mixed Nesquik with cocktail sauce. Â I am not a young woman any more. Â I have eaten at many a Tex-Mex restaurant in my numerous years on this earth. Â This was, quite literally, the worst salsa I have ever tasted.
The salsa verde (I assume that is what it was) was less offensive. Â It was less offensive because it was so clear it was like dipping a chip into water with a couple of drops of green food coloring. Â It tasted like someone had run an avocado through a blender with a gallon of ice water.
I happened to glance over at the man at the table next to us. Â His plate looked like a mess my cat once made. Â I am deadly serious. Â I am not exaggerating for comedic effect. Â It looked like something you should clean up off the carpet. Â The man staring at his plate looked none too pleased, either. Â My husband and I looked at each other and it was all we could do not to run from the restaurant, Scooby Doo-style, screaming into the night.
So I told the waitress my husband and I needed to cancel our orders and we left. Â I will say our waitress was pretty nice. Â I sense people leaving is nothing new for her as she was very gracious and did not even charge us for my diet coke. Â So there was that, at least.
I would definitely not eat there if I were you. Â Really, you could not do worse at Taco Bell and, actually, you could do a lot better.
The margaritas are good and well priced, the chips, salsa, and green sauce are great! The fajitas were tasty and a good portion for the price- BUT the service is awful. If you want to wait 40 minutes for your food to come out lukewarm, this is the place for you. I think the waitstaff is new/untrained or something, because I had to stop other waiters than ours as well as busboys multiple times for simple requests such as refilling my water glass, getting my kid ketchup for his chicken nuggets, etc. I think our waitress may have been taking a smoke break in the back.
I've been here twice because the food didn't disappoint and it's a good location for me, and I'll give it one more chance- but if the service remains as poor it just isn't worth it.
So I gave their full menu a whirl.. not just nachos. This was earlier this week.
I ordered the Pollo Conquistador: Chicken breast stuffed with shrimp, pico de gallo and cheese, topped with mushrooms in a cream sauce.
HOT DAMN! That was better than I expected, seriously. I asked to omit the mushrooms and they did. I also got a side of small nachos (cause they are delish here) no jalapeños, and was surprised to be informed that their guac had jalapeños to. Never knew, lol, but they ARE in big chunks so it was easy to pick them out. Something to know if you dont like jalapeños! So all my little quirks were followed, my food was hot and fresh, and between the chicken (HUGE AMT OF FOOD) the nachos and my boys' quesidilla kids meals, we had very happy bellies.
PS) The tortillas are excellent too!
They still have timing issues, but the girl that took my order got it perfect, delayed it by 10 minutes like I asked, and this trip was perfect. Keep it up yall!!
The food here is nothing to write home about. Â You can barely hear yourself think it is so loud. Â I have been here twice and you can barely talk to anyone at your table because it is so loud. Â I have been once during the week as well and could not believe how loud it was.
A friend purchased a gift card for me here. Â When I went to redeem it they told me that there was no money on that card. Â I gave them the receipt that was with the card my friend gave me. Â They told me that the number did not match and kept asking for the other gift card that went with the receipt we had. Â We told them that there was no other card as it was a gift. Â The manager was there during this whole ordeal and made no offer to give us the $5 off our bill that the gift card was for.
Needless to say we will not be going back.
When my wife text-ed me the other day as she was out shopping with her mom, "Gonna get Mexican, want me to bring you home some?", I had no idea she was going to Morelia... If I knew that, I would have said no thanks and enjoyed a bowl of Cereal.
If you happen to be reading this, that means that the 2.5 star average hasnt scared you off yet...
well let me give you more reasons why you shouldnt go...
The food that Joy brought me was her food... huh? well after waiting 40 minutes for their order to arrive, and watching others around her receive food even though they arrived after her, she took one bite of a Fajita platter and literally spit it out. She then canceled my togo food, stating she didnt want to wait another 40 minutes just so that I will be disappointed, boxed up the food she had and brought it home. I drowned the thing in Sriracha and only ate the shrimp, chicken and steak that were in the mix. The rice had to be Rice-a-Roni from a box and the beans, well, my Jewish/Israeli mom makes better from a can. The sauce (white wine thing) was salty and well disgusting.
As far as service, apparently the server was nice and the manager did comp off the meal, but only after the check was dropped without any adjustments made and Joy had to explain to the MAnager what had happened.
Now, we had heard about the poor show of this place, and even though some peeps from the neighborhood have gone there and somewhat liked it... DONT GO!
Plenty of really good Tex-Mex and Mexican food in P'Ville...
I finally tried Morelia's after finishing up last minute Christmas shopping at Target...I needed a Margarita. Â Although I had not heard good things from friends about this place and saw the poor Yelp reviews I thought I would at least give it a try.
Well, I am sad to say I should have listened to my friend and to Yelp (Yelp doesn't lie). Â My mom and I order 2 Margaritas, mom had a quesadilla, I had the Norteno Fajitas. Â The chips and salsa were good, the Margaritas were hit the spot. We waited, and waited, and waited, and waited then 40 mins after placing our order our food finally arrived. Â I had told told our server at the beginning to place a to-go order for the hubby once our food came out but I canceled it. I didn't want to wait another 40 mins for a to-go order.
The food was um.....Disappointing at the very least. Â My moms quesadilla was so tiny. Â I am certain there was more sour cream on the plate then there was a quesadilla. Â My fajitas were covered in what I think was a white wine sauce. Â I am not sure because it tasted like nothing but salt. Â The food was so overly salted I could not even eat it. There was so much sauce that the onions and peppers were mush. Â I turned to the rice a beans hoping that was edible. Â WRONG! Â The rice was straight up Rice a Roni. Â Tasted like the seasoning came straight from a seasoning packet full of SALT, and it was dried out and had crispy bits. The beans were the best part, although they didn't have a lot of flavor at least I could eat them.
Our poor server she was so apologetic. Â I told her this was my first and probably last time eating there. Â I asked for the manager, and told her about our experience. Â She saw how long our ticket time was and was upset. Â She ended up not charging me for my plate of salt.
If you're looking for good Mexican food in Pflugerville don't stop here. Â Remember Yelp doesn't lie.
By far one of the WORST service ever.
First time here...
Was with a group of friends.
My friend who is hard of hearing ordered a blue moon and they brought out a Bloody Mary.
Server was confused and the manager had to come out.
Now I'm confused. Just grab the damn blue moon.
The manager threw a bi7ch fit when he came out.
Who does that in front of customers?
Anyways food came out.
My girlfriends tacos were missing cheese.
Buddy's fajitas were missing tortillas.
Oh yeah did I mention we found a 1.5x2 inch plastic thing in the food?
The manager came out again and was trying to explain what it was and why it was in there.
Man up and apologize. Don't try to justify it.
Now we decided to give them another chance (my girlfriend did)
Went back Sunday for lunch and waited hmmm about 15 minutes before we received any service.
Sat at the table with 6 people and not a single soul noticed we haven't even been greeted yet.
Overall....
Never going back
I will start the review with the food - Â it was alright. There were only two vegetarian options on the menu which is pretty low for a Mexican restaurant. Â The chips and salsa - A+; my husband's ground beef enchiladas - A; my spinach enchilada - B-. The inside of my enchilada was literally plain cooked chopped spinach which was weird.
I read a lot about the service in this place being incredibly slow, so let me give a tip. Â We were in a super hurry because we had to catch a movie, and we let the waitress know. Â She put in our dinner order as an appetizer order. Â We got our food within 10 minutes, I shit you not.
In regard to convenience, the place is good for my family. Â Since we usually frequent the center, I'd say we'll be back. Â BUT, if you had to make me choose between this place and Casa Garcia, I'd choose Casa.
A new restaurant in the Stonehill Center in PF, Morelia has the potential of being a very good restaurant with a giant menu, a funky faux stonework decor and fast service.
We went for a late lunch and were seated quickly, and soon hit with chips and salsa. Â The menu was bewildering - definitely makes you want to come back to try other items. But it took a long time to get our lunch. Â I ordered the pork chops (you get 3) but they were dry and salty. Â Very tiny side of guacamole.
Overall, the fun decor and friendly surprise balanced out the OK food. I'll be tempted to return at least once - hopefully the dry chops were an accident.
